I love credit cards so much!

My wife and I are planning either another cruise or Disney World vacation in 2020. I have a Disney Visa credit card that gives me 6 months 0% interest on packages, cruises, etc. My question is... If I only pay the deposit (regardless if I use my Disney Visa or not) will it still start my 6 months when I pay the balance on the final payment date? I am just confused about what will work and what won't. I didn't plan on putting it on my card until closer to time. Im afraid since its a package they would want me to place the full amount on my Visa when I book.

For the 6 months perk you get 6 months on each qualifying charge. So a deposit on a package or DCL gets 6 months, then final payment would get another 6 months for that charge. I think there is a minimum charge amount but you can even make payments in between. Each charge gets its own clock.

I think the minimum charge is $200, but as miz stated, it will work on deposit, final and the charges in-between.

Yes, I have been slowly trying to catch up and figure out what you all are talking about, lol. I have seen several mentions of cashing out URs which surprised me. Is that because there’s no other way to reduce Disney travel expense or because there’s nothing else good to spend URs on?
There are other uses for URs - it really just depends on people’s goals/priorities. For some of us (me included) my Disney trip is a priority and staying on-site is a must sonif it comes to cashing out URs, I’ll do it. :)

Are those prices less per night or less for the whole stay? I'd imagine it means club level. If it is that price extra fro the whole stay I'd go for it since you will be spending alot of time at the resorts during the day to use the lounge.
That’s for the entire stay. I guess the only thing I’m worried about is yc being too similar to bc but club level is definitely a nice perk. Dh is saying he’s not sure he loves the gf. It’s been the #1 place I’ve wanted to stay at because I think it’s so beautiful but we could always stay there another time.

was listening to a radio about facebook listening in on smartphones and determining the ads to give u.
cats.

cats?

cats.

*incoming cat ads for me*
I don’t doubt it. I swear sometimes I’m just thinking something, and bam there’s an ad (on DIS too)

ETA. For instance, right now DIS is showing ads for Chewy.com. We got a new puppy today.

Manhattan hotel recommendations please! We have an event and concert to attend at Carnegie Hall in mid-February. Dh would like to stay in that area, so south of Central Park/north of Times Square.

No points or free nights to be used yet, unfortunately. Not loyal to any chain, though dh does have WoH card. Just the two of us.

:goodvibes
So many options. Good luck with whatever you decide! We have done the Marriot Marquis and will be doing the Tryp Times Square (15,000 Wyndham points) and the InterContinental Times Square using a free night cert this April. I don’t think you can really go wrong with whatever you choose. What’s your budget?

Chase takes a very long time to post. I SMd to complain I had gotten the 10% off Staples credit (10 days after purchase) when I also had the 30%. Clearly I prefer 30%. They replied to SM again in 10 biz days as it can take that long to post. Clearly they didn’t actually read my message (or understand it) as they didn’t actually answer the question. But they make it clear it can take a couple weeks to post.
That hasn’t been my experience but Amex is definitely faster. You can look under your Chase offers to see whether your offer has been redeemed. Then a few days later your credit posts.

I got an email from Credit Karma saying someone checked my credit today. CK is showing a hit on Equifax for Verizon Wireless. I have ATT and have no desire to switch and havent even been in a Verizon store. What do i need to do? This follows on the footsteps of a $1 fraudulent charge on my CSR this weekend. ACK, Im a little freaked out! Help!

I’d call CSR and ask for a new CC # immediately. Sounds like someone has your card number and is getting ready to make some purchases.

Mine have taken 10 days on the 3 that have credited. And I’ve gotten an email each time. But when I SMd they said SM back in 14 business days if no credit (I just double checked the SM I got )

I would freeze your credit with all 3 bureaus. Contact Equifax first.
