We stay quite a bit. If you want right in Times Sq I loved the Marriott Marquis - cool hotel rooms were hugeI appreciate the suggestions! Just asked dh about a budget---he thinks $350-400 plus parking. Last time we stayed overnight in the city it was for a family wedding and they had a block of rooms at The Lexington which is under the Marriott umbrella. We usually just do day tripsso this is a new thing for me

We’ve done the normal kitchen sink and this last trip we did the Mickey Pants kitchen sink which was so cute and you get to keep the pants! I would love to try yachtsman steakhouse but I think our food budget is going to be awfully small this time. We are definitely going to take advantage of the CL food and probably will eat lots of quick service
When I had the issue last month someone also suggested freezing the Chex system that does bank accts. I froze all 4. You do need to notate the PIN number for all somewhere it won't get lost. I have them in two different places. The Chex one sends you the PIN by snail mail. It was super easy and quick to do it all online.
Thanks ladies. I didn't even think about Chex and don't even know what Innovis is! LolIf someone has your SSN, you'll want to freeze ChexSystems and Innovis too. So if you want to open a new bank account you'll need to unfreeze ChexSystems. Call the 3 bureaus and tell them what happened and they can put a mark on your report as well. Some people file police reports for stolen SSN.
There's tons of info on this - here's an article: https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-...-your-social-security-number-has-been-stolen/
Thank you! So much to look at tomorrow lolWe stay quite a bit. If you want right in Times Sq I loved the Marriott Marquis - cool hotel rooms were huge
W - Times Sq has a reallly cool bar/lounge area
Millennium Times SQ was good too but didn’t have as much to offer as the other two more of a business atmosphere
I loved Bryant Park Hotel a funky modern hotel away from the bustle to Times sq (but very close) and a boutique feel with really friendly staff
Lastly a few peeps on here have mentioned Residence Inn Central Park. It’s North of Times Sq and right near Carnegie Hall. I think free breakfast and great views. @calypso726 and @striker1064 could prob tell your more
Glad you got your resorts! While YC and BC are similar, it will definitely be a different experience. I say quieter and more relaxing. We’ve done the normal kitchen sink and this last trip we did the Mickey Pants kitchen sink which was so cute and you get to keep the pants! I’m intrigued..never looked into DAH...off to research![]()
I got an email from Credit Karma saying someone checked my credit today. CK is showing a hit on Equifax for Verizon Wireless. I have ATT and have no desire to switch and havent even been in a Verizon store. What do i need to do? This follows on the footsteps of a $1 fraudulent charge on my CSR this weekend. ACK, Im a little freaked out! Help!
Sorry this is happening to you! What a pain! Good thing you caught it early though. Sometimes I wonder if the churning puts us more at risk..?
We are definitely going to use it for breakfast. I'm not sure if we will want to come back for the lunch/dinner stuff, but will probably take advantage of the desserts at night. They have light food offerings during the day (breakfast, snacks, dinner appetizers, drinks, Nespresso machines, etc.). There is a ton of info over on the YC/BC thread if you want to know more. But basically, for us, we end up having breakfast in the lounge, then have a sit down lunch (can be QS), have the dinner apps and then go to the park where we will buy something QS or snack a bit but after the apps we don't really have room for a big dinner. Different people use it in different ways. Have fun planning!
Yeah, we wouldn't be staying there if not on points. And even then we wouldn't if it wasn't a splurge trip for us. A couple of years ago DD and her friends stayed at the Embassy Suites in Midtown for a pretty reasonable price on Thanksgiving weekend.
When Dh and I go alone we don't do the dining plan. We don't like being tied down to a table service meal every day. Right now we are planning our Epcot day and I think we are actually gonna do 2 qs meals instead of a ts. With us paying $250 for each DAH event we need to save some money somewhere.Get a bank bonus to cover the meal? Lol jk I need to learn to eat at Disney cheap. In June we are going without the meal plan for the first time in a bit. SO is convinced we will save money which we may but we are still doing the Yatchsman. we normally get a $120 porterhouse when we are on the dining plan. I like eating that and it being pre payed for. I may cry actually paying for it after eating this time lol. let me know what quick service meal recommendations you have in that area after your trip. We are only doing one sit down a day.
This weekend. We loved the MK one back in September. They have a DHS one this Saturday. If it was MK I probably wouldnt debate especially with the AP price but I'd probably pick AK over DHS personally..Are you talking about this weekend or the weekend of February 1?
Dah is the best thing ever. It says something when we are willing to fly down last minute to do all three lol
Hah I didn't know they had a Minnie Mouse one now! That's awesome. Right now we are looking at dinner for our "free day" and are deciding between ESPN or Trattoria Al Forno.Glad you got your resorts! While YC and BC are similar, it will definitely be a different experience. I say quieter and more relaxing.
If you like Minnie Mouse, Beaches & Cream now has a Minnie kitchen sink in a skirt. Beaches & Cream also has new loaded/extreme milkshakes to catch up with other places and they come in plastic mason jar you get to keep. I was bummed they were out of the cups when I went. Next time!
Huh that's funny. I would easily pick HS over AK, but we are doing them both anyway! lolThis weekend. We loved the MK one back in September. They have a DHS one this Saturday. If it was MK I probably wouldnt debate especially with the AP price but I'd probably pick AK over DHS personally..
This is DSs favorite. “And a whole can of whip cream!” LolBeaches and cream too. I love the chocolate lovers kitchen sink but if you don’t want that much ice cream we love going to ample hills at the boardwalk
My biggest thing is this was supposed to be more of a budget trip lolHuh that's funny. I would easily pick HS over AK, but we are doing them both anyway! lol
