Thanks from me also. You did great with mostly keeping the rain at bay for the half. Bummer about the after party being washed out for us like CaliforniaGirl mentioned, but if I had to choose, I’d take a dry 13.1 miles (actually 19.3 since we did the challenge) over a dry after party. Started reading about Harry Potter Land (as I call it) and now I really want to go. And you know WHAT? There's a Hyatt Place right across the street with a shuttle to the parks, big, lovely rooms, and FREE BREAKFAST for WoH members (like moi). For 8,000 points a night.

How long does it take for AA miles to post from the Barclay’s card? I keep checking my account waiting for the 60,000 bonus miles to show up. Objectively I know I just made my first purchase last week and I should be patient, but I want to see them in there! I’m also still waiting for DW’s card to come in the mail. She got the instant approval last Monday 10/29 but didn’t get the email that said “your card will arrive in 7-10 days” until Friday. So who knows when it will actually arrive.

On another note, I like having friends who aren’t into CC points. We went out for lunch with friends twice last weekend, and both times we put the whole bill on DW’s CIP that we’re working on the MSR for and the rest of the group gave us the cash or Venmo’d us their portion.

It’s the deal with one purchase and AF? You have to pay the AF. Also if it’s the Biz Card, the website is pretty wonky, make sure your can see the “master account” and your card, they are listed separately

I finally got a tiny DVC contract! I've been trying to secure 25 points at AKL for months now - I want to be able to transfer in and control my own reservations. I was just never quick enough. I also want to get in on early offers on Riveria (if the price isn't too insane).
I'm pumped. Got the UY I wanted, too. Cost more than I wanted to spend but I decided I had to make concessions. That's our big Christmas present this year!

Different cards have different requirements for the bonus. Chase in general requires you have less than 5 cards in 24 months from any bank, to approve you for a personal card. Business cards don’t count towards 5/24, however you must still be under 5/24 to apply for a Chase business card.

Currently, you are eligible for the bonus again on Chase biz cards every 24 mos (from when you last received the bonus).

Don't hold your breath, and you should probably stop checking for at least a month. My AA miles didn't post until the 3rd statement closed.....and yes, I did make my first purchase as soon as I received the card.

Did I recently see someone post here that you can use Disney GCs at the Character Warehouse? I've never been to it before, but since DH and I will have a car this trip, we were thinking we might stop by on our way in to check it out.

I used a gift card just a couple weeks ago when we went. Since you have a car you should definitely go. Just avoid a weekend and either go early or late afternoon. Apparently deliveries of new stuff is Monday and Thursday. We went on Tuesday the 24th about 4 and it was not too bad; just be prepared to look for parking and pay. Good deals though. We went then and Halloween merchandise originally at $32 was on sale for $15 at resort ($32 at MK) but at warehouse it was $5! I seriously wanted to go twice last trip but my sweet husband shut down that idea pretty quick. Since I didn’t want to go enough to drive and go on my own I guess I will have to console myself with one outlet visit per WDW trip. Since going for the first time last January the outlet is my new obsession!

I got to hit both the Disney outlets by WDW last April for the first time! So much fun and such good deals!! Can't wait to go back with a car again. We hit both stores at about 10am and it was a total zoo! Well worth it though.
