The URs on DH's CIC finally switched from pending to posted this morning. I'm not sure what the hold up was there as the charges were posted but URs were pending on posted charges from more than a week ago. So hopefully next Tuesday night I'll see the 50,000 URs pending!

Has anyone recently applied for and bee approved for the United Mileage Card? Dh applied on 8/20 and trying to guess when the card might arrive. I have a bill to pay by Friday morning that would be 1/3 of the MSR. Do you think I might get it by then? SM to chase told me up to 10 business days. I am hoping sooner.

Co-branded cards seem to take about 7 or 8 days from approval.

DH received his IHG Premier MC in the mail late last week. Called to activate yesterday and they gave him a hassle. Said to call back in 10 days (Aug 31) to see if he’s good to go with using it. They didn’t know why he was chosen for this “special review”. Not sure what’s up with that? Any chance he’d be denied for this card AFTER he’d already been approved? This is a Chase card (personal) and he got the CIP a little less than a month ago. I think with the IHG card he’s now 3/24. Was 2/24 before applying.

Now that I'm nearly the owner of a new CSR, should I get global entry or precheck?

We do have a trip to Ireland planned for April 2019 (DH is from Ireland). But my understanding is kids can't go through on my global entry so I don't think I'd even use it then. But they are included (if under 12?) for pre-check so could go through with me for our WDW trip in 2020. DH already has pre-check. Does global entry also give you pre-check domestically?

Congrats on the double dip! I would have done GE as it covers both domestic and international but TSA was way easier. I needed to go into airport at Boston and that wasn’t happening. We fly out of Providence RI alot. They have since added another location but I also had no international travel on the horizon.

Wish my Amex charges would hurry up and post... I think Amex usually posts to the day of the actual purchase anyways, but they're still showing pending for the purchases I made on Monday and my 90 days runs out on Friday!

Booked Dolphin via Chase site yesterday and can’t link it on MDE or Marriott. Do I need to wait a few days?

I contemplated a value but went in this am and all values except AOA Suites are sold out. It’s feb 7-10 a weekend - maybe a race or something?

@Albort was it 5 nights & now see 15? I saw 15 nights after merging my accounts but that’s the nights all card holders are credited with so I dismissed it earlier.

Just got into my online acct. Funny thing is they wouldn't approve my first app for the CIC bc of too much credit available yet they just approved it this time with 12k. Whats up with their approvals and CL. I'm happy to have it approved so now I can cancel the CIP and get the bonus from the CIC.

should I wait till the charge posts to my CIP before canceling or can I go ahead and cancel it on the 31st so that I don't have the AF charged?

I double checked and all my previous charges have posted to the day that I actually bought the item, regardless of how long they were pending. So this should post to 8/20 and be fine. I discovered that you can set an alert for when individual charges post so I did that!

Mentioned travel hacking to a friend yesterday afternoon and she was intrigued since she has a few trips coming up, including a family reunion at Disney next fall. With a family of four (despite a DD under 3), she dreads the expenses. As I explained more, she was formulating ideas already . Gave her the instruction for the double dip since both she and her DH are 0/24 and 1/24 respectively (with great credit), and she was already ready to dive right in last night Was so proud of her LOL.

Told her to hold off in case she gets home late and has to call recon (was hoping they wouldn't have to so it wouldn't scare her away from this game before it began lol ). And she was deciding which one of them would start the first double dip since they intend to both go for it.

Well, this morning, I get a text that her DH got instant approval for the CSR with a 30K+ CL! She had to remind him to use a separate browser . 5 minutes later, I get a text that he was insta-approved for the CSP as well! 24K on that one . They were kind enough to use my link, so throwing them a dance party here!!

Yeah all of my charges since my most recent statement (as far back as I checked) posted to the actual day I made the charges. I know Chase sometimes takes several days to post and then occasionally it will post a day or two later than when I actually made the charge. Doesn't seem to be the case with Amex.

Just an FYI for PNC bank bonuses - don't count on the "direct deposit" email to know if you've hit the bonus requirements. I just did a pull into PNC and got the direct deposit email. This was an external transfer initiated from PNC, and it counted towards the DD requirement for the growth account and triggered the email. It's clearly listed as "Transfer" in my activity, so I can't imagine that this would have counted for the bonus.

Does anyone know how long in takes after the MSR is met for the 80,000 bonus points to show as earning on the next statement in rewards activity...the MSR was met last week and all charges have posted...

Looking at the Barclay Aviator Biz card. After reading the info on DOC, I don't see any negatives to this. Am I missing anything. It's a biz card, so it won't goof up my 5/24...planning on SW biz and SW personal later this year. We don't fly AA a ton but sometimes it's the best option. Are there links on Dis churners?
