Exactly! It is the weirdest thing. If you hate your DVC so much then stop stop following and posting about it. Just sell! I think they almost want it to be more of an exclusive club and are upset it is not. At least on here everyone admits they love credit cards and points!

Personally I am in a credit card rut right now. Lowered Chase credit lines for DH this week but need to wait a while before I have him get the new Chase Business Unlimited. And I am really worried about pushing my luck with Chase right now so that’s a no go. I have 7 cards with Chase and sad but true I think I need every single one. I have thought about and will get another Amex but already have 3. And then added to it we have been trying to not spend so much money and it seems like when we have a new card we just spend spend spend (no ms required). So this summer I am a little sad but just trying to put non category spending on SPG before it ends (I don’t care about Marriott and just valued SPG for airline transfers).

@Lain Gyft denied me. Is it safe to try again, should I wait awhile? I'm wanting to make a $350 purchase through walmart.com. If I pay through paypal on their site and use my CIC, will that code 5x?

@disneymagicgirl and @DaveL have had a lot of frustrations with Gyft denying them. I've had orders delayed before. I've been using Gyft for a while now, and that almost never happens to me anymore. I don't think @DaveL has any luck with $250 Walmart GCs; they always get auto-denied. He sticks to $100s.

No, CIC will not code 5x on Walmart through PayPal (that I know of). I believe the Gyft website and app using PayPal checkout will code 5x on CIC.

It was the $250 I was trying to buy. I'll wait til later and try to buy $100. A quick google shows a lot of people have this same issue. You are lucky you've had such few problems!

Looks like it's one the Prime phones they preload with apps and stuff so it's kinda subsidized. After the Fire phone they started doing special versions of regular Android models to give the same experience. Here's what it'll have from the description:
"Pre-installed selection of Amazon apps, including the Amazon Widget, provide Prime members with easy access to daily deals, Prime movies and TV shows, Prime Music, Prime Photos storage, and more with a single sign-on experience"

I don't recall if you can delete or disable what you don't use.

Regarding the Fidelity bonus. I opened accounts for DH and myself late Thursday night (6/28). I funded mine right away, DH’s a few days later. I’ve recieved an email welcoming me to my new account but that’s it, no mention of pending bonus. Are there others in the same boat?

After slamming the Q3 categories, I actually used by CF at Walgreens today. Needed more Ibuprofen (see my earlier posts about being busy at work ).

Also, received the email about a $10 statement credit for selected auto pay purchases on the CF, so I'm going to switch my internet to it for the month.

Oh okay! I thought the miles seemed pretty low which is exciting. It's for Economy and a 17 hr flight (longer than I wanted; shortest I've seen from where we want to fly out is 14-15), but I honestly would probably take it anyway since that's a pretty big difference between 35 and 80. I watch for weeks before our flight dates open so I kind of know what to expect. For AA, many times the lowest awards aren’t available right when the dates open, sometimes they pop up later, or only on Tuesdays, etc.

Yes every $250 card has been denied. Wait 24hrs since the last attempt and try a $100 card on the website, You will prob get the "We need some more time" and then it will go approved a few hours later, I then waited 24hrs for the next $100 and so on. I have not tried a $250 lately but after 3 $100 delayed cards I now get instant cards.

Thanks! I did more reading and realized while I searched G6 I was actually looking at Q6. Sneaky amazon. But further searching I found the G6 as a prime exclusive with 128gb internal mem unlocked for 475 vs the 585 for the 32gb at BB or ATT. I looked at the amount of internal storage I've used on my current 32gb and saw that with the amazon apps I would be over 32 but then I saw the 128 was still lower so it'll work. I just have to baby my current phone until Thursday. I used an amazon gc for 2/3 of it and the rest on my CFU and it comes with a 2 year warranty from LG.

One of the dogs had cracked my original screen so I went to a place that fixes phones, ipads etc and had them replace the screen because I couldn't be without it for the amount of time it would have taken to ship it for att to fix it. Probably should have sent it off because after about a year the top corners started separating and they fixed it again but the screen was never fully attached. Saturday it was coming off worse than it had been and so I pushed it back down not realizing that the ear speaker wasn't in place and I cracked the phone. Thank goodness for a good screen protector keeping it all in one piece. But now the speaker is trying to fall down inside and part of the screen that covers the front camera has totally broken off but I've got the protector holding it in place. It's still working but with the speaker moving I don't trust to have it fixed again. Eventually I'll buy a new screen and see if I can fix it myself simply to have as a back up just in case. Knock on wood...this is the first phone I've ever had issues with in the first year + I owned it, damn dog. I had the phone on the blanket and he grabbed them both when he tried to move the blanket.

The good news is my tests went well, I can get the results on Thursday. I did find out normally they have you do the tests and then you might get an interview so I don't know why my interview was first. I'd love to find out Thursday about the job but I'm guessing next week since they are off tomorrow and then again on Friday.

I keep meaning to post and then spend all my time just getting caught up BUT wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for all of you DVC members who encouraged me months ago about your initial feelings on your DVC purchase and your continuing thoughts. I can't remember who all but everyone who took the time to respond was a huge help to me in deciding to just go for it. I just sent off the closing paperwork with a direct purchase at OKW (cheapest way to buy direct and still fit my family of 5) and I have a resale contract for BLT with Disney in ROFR right now. If resale was not such a cost savings I would just buy more direct as seeing the 30,000 UR's post on my Reserve is pretty sweet and so easy!

And side note, I really appreciate everyone on this thread. As part of this DVC quest I have been looking at that section more and while there is some helpful information on there and I have "met" some nice people I also find a lot of really negative and judgmental people who overall can be just annoying. I can truthfully say that on here I like everyone and would be happy to meet in real life!

LOL That is a couple of years ago when I was still wielding flat irons, blow dryers and huge brushes while entrenched in daily battles with my hair. I won the battles but eventually, my hair won the war. Now it can just do whatever it wants. I'm done. I don't need the added stress.

Your hair is lovely when it's all curly and having a mind of it's own. I love it! Mine is a getting slightly wavier as I get older. I also battled it for awhile but now, I just leave it alone most days. I do a lot of ponytails too in an effort to control it a bit. Thankfully my dh loves my hair in a ponytail

I know this feeling! In high school my mom used to straighten my hair for me. I could do flat irons but it took freakingforever, and I had to blow dry it first. It was faster to blow dry straight, but i couldn't do it. I'djust crack myself in the head with the giant ceramic roundbrush. But it wasstill almost two hours! Now i have perfected my routine... shower, comb, put in curly hair mousse* to fight frizz/help with curl because my hair is long and thick, let it dry while i sleep. Ta-da! There is too much going on to spend hours on my hair!

*please note, mousse step is not fully necessary in humid climates like NE, CA, and FL
