I love credit cards so much!

Assuming Plastiq works with your mortgage, a $4,000 payment would have a $100 fee (2.5%), but you’d earn 3x UR on the principal and the fee ($4,100) on the CIP, or 12,300 UR, worth $123 in cash, or you can transfer the points to a CSR for 50% additional value for redemption for travel.

Of course, the way things code can change at any time. But my last Plastiq payment on 2/22 earned 3x UR on my CIP.

OK - I really need to figure this out too. We have rental property, so I pay 4 mortgages each month.

Favor - could someone post the steps for double dipping the CSP and CSR? I know its buried here somewhere - just can't recall who posted this a few weeks back. It needs to be a non-holiday weekday, correct?

Start applying early during regular business hours of a non-holiday weekday in case you need to call Chase reconsideration or verification departments.

For personal cards, be sure you're not running afoul of the 2/30 rule: you can only have two applications every 30 days or you'll likely be rejected.

Apply for the card you want first. If you aren't auto-approved and perhaps got the we'll let you know in 30 days message, call the automated status line at 1-800-432-3117 after an hour to check the status of your application. If you still aren't approved, call recon at 1-888-270-2127 to get it approved.

After that first card is approved, use a different internet browser or an incognito window for the second application, otherwise Chase may combine the apps thinking they're accidental duplicates. If it isn't auto-approved, call the automated status line after an hour, and if you still aren't approved call recon to get it approved.

Good luck!

No all mortgages can be paid using visa through plastiq but you won’t know until you try and play with it. And post here which companies you are trying to pay in case someone already knows a work around!

Does the Ink Cash work for 3x or only Ink Preferred?

Like @wendow said, not all mortgages can be paid using Plastiq. Amex and Visa both have imposed strict restrictions against paying mortgages using their cards through Plastiq. So being able to get a payment through to your mortgage company on a Visa or Amex card is more the exception to the rule. To comply with Amex and Visa's guidelines, Plastiq has essentially blacklisted most mortgage companies as "recipients" if you're using an Amex or Visa card. The big banks and mortgage holders/servicers are very likely blocked. Smaller banks and credit unions may have slipped this blacklist. Mortgage companies that don't sound like they have anything to do with mortgages may still work, like "Mr. Cooper." And it's possible to change the name and address of the recipient to sneak your payment through to your mortgage company. You'll get a lot of feedback and help from folks like @wendow, @vanjust14, and @peel with these tricks.

@peel also has Mr Cooper. I think you'll be good on that one!

WF, Chase & Ditech are probably going to need some tweaking (not familiar with Ditech...that might slip through). I have Provident Funding. When I go through plastiq, my top address line reads Attn: Cashier. Then the second address line is the physical address with Provident at the end. I didn't figure it out. @vanjust14 did and it's working great for me. Maybe she will chime in here on exactly how she came up with this. She told me but I can't remember.

Got the targeted Pay Over Time mailer for my Amex Platinum on Saturday; signed up immediately for the 10,000 MR bonus. Bonus posted today!

Great timing as the AF is coming up on this card, and I’m thinking of churning Platinums if I can’t get a good retention offer.

So, booked Poly thru UR portal. Sometime over the weekend realized I never arranged DME. Tried to find on website but couldn’t figure it out. Got an email today with info about our stay (starting Wednesday) and a number to call for MDE along with the info on our stay, confirmation number, etc. Called the number & CM can’t find my ressie. Asks if I booked third party then says he can’t access my ressie & cant add my info for DME.
I wonder if I needed to do all that thru the Disney Wholesale number. Weird that I got a Disney email with a confirmation number Disney doesn’t recognize

When third parties book, sometimes their system doesn't interface with the resort system the right way and the reservation doesn't get put in for whatever reason. People absolutely freak out at the front desk and on the phone which is why the hotel industry hates dealing with third parties. The confirmation number you received isn't Disney's confirmation, but the confirmation number for the third party website which is probably why the agent wasn't able to pull up your reservation. Sometimes the third party confirmations are put in a weird place on the reservation that makes it hard to find, and a newer agent might not be able to find it.

Definitely give the Wholesale department a call and a WH coordinator can look up your booking or they can reach out to the third party to put it in the right way.

New Chase Shutdown Report that may be of interest:

This was shared on r/churning just now. Gives you an idea of the risk and how hard is too hard with Chase...

  • I was probably at about 10/24. So I had Freedom Unlimited about year and half (downgraded from Saph pref). Hyatt for about 4 months, IHG for about 9 months, I just opened a Marriott biz card about a month ago (about half way through my min spend for the bonus) & just recently applied for the $200 bonus Disney Chase card. Out of no where all 4 currently opened cards were closed, I received no letters or emails. Since I had no where to move my UR points I had to cash out 94k.

10/24, 4/12, 3/6, 2/3 | looks like are the triggers in this case.

They had hit Chase pretty hard, imo. Much harder than I'd be willing or comfortable with. 2/3, 3/6 and 4/9. I think I'm 3/12 and I'm terrified to apply for another Chase card.

Was your Poly reservation showing in MDE? After calling Disney Wholesale my last UR reservation at CBR showed up without problem. When I called Disney about modifying it though they couldn't do anything with it as that had to be with Chase.

No love for Citibank? I rarely hear people talking about this bank. I will be sitting on 50,000 Thank you points in about 2 months. Any ideas on what to do with them? I see they have 11 transfer partners. Any Citi experts in the building?

Used to have love for them until they implemented the 24 month per family of cards rule. Before that, I had picked up the Prestige and the Premier. We used the 100K points to pay for a couple of AA flights back from Hawaii when I couldn't find decent award space. I might have kept the Prestige but they watered down all the cool benefits. I will churn the cards again but I have to wait 24 months and then have to keep one of the cards 24 months before going for the next one. So, next time, I will apply for the Premier card, keep it and apply for the Prestige 24 months later before cancelling, transfer all my points to the Prestige card, then cancel the Premier card. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I'm in the same boat with the Citi AA cards too. There's one I've had for years and always keep. Now I will just apply for a new one every 24 months and throw in a business card from time to time too.

Is there a way to see earned rewards by transaction with the Discover IT card? I can't see a breakdown of my points earned anywhere in my account.

You are welcome. I like step by step examples. I used to love MMS because of those when I was starting out. If I were in your shoes, I would use the CIC for all Disney gift cards purchased at an Office supply store. It is what I do with my Ink+. You do not need to pay your MPX purchases with your UA card. I sure don't. You get the 25% bonus simply because you have the card. It is tied to the profile of your UA FF account. I have never paid my MPX purchases with the UA card. I always get my 25% bonus just because I have a UA card. If you go to the reddit thread and read the MPX write up @Lain has there, it may help you see in 3D a little better. I would take the 100k Amex Plat offer.

CIC cant transfer to airlines if thats what its getting at. They can still transfer to other cards ie CSR/CSP. Whats your card line? kinda surprised you dont have any freedoms, SPG, or amex card?
BOA cards are best if you have your investment account with them.
Northern Lights! i went there a year ago. A few tips for you on that. Fly there at night(Fairbanks). The chances of you seeing it on the plane is quite good! we looked at this site every day to check the Northern Lights status. If you do book a tour, find one that has a cabin. We did one like that, we also had people doing the car chasing but said that it was hard to keep warm as the car was also cold. Heat Packs... Bring Heat Packs... Extra ones for your phone too! cuz those die quickly!

on a side note, if you dont have GE, apply for one, do your interview at Fairbanks. Appointments are wide open there.

Applied last night for the AMEX Plat (100K offer) and was instantly approved, that was a pleasant surprise. I am excited to give Lain's trick a whirl. I will call Chase to see about PC from CIP to CIC.

I did see where BoA does not commit to the card they are going to give you until after the app is approved so you may not get the more desirable Premier. I do not have an investment account with them but do still have a mtg (until the closing end of March), checking and platinum cc (one of my older cards). What are your thoughts on Discover it, I would apply now before the AMEX Plat hits my CB? I am interested in SPG, BCP or Delta (if a good deal is offered). How much time should I space them out? I need to read up on AMEX app requirements.
