Thanks for the heads up. Bummer if they stop been enjoying discounted and free disney cards.Cross posting this because there’s some overlapping interest here.
So I was at Best Buy this morning buying a Disney gift card with Best Buy gift cards and savings codes, and my cashier told me that FYI starting in February 2018, Best Buy will not allow Best Buy gift cards to be used to purchase third-party gift cards. I asked if it was just this store or a nationwide policy, and she believed it was all Best Buys citing a high incidence of fraudulent transactions with gift cards.
Take it for what it’s worth, but my cashier advised if I had any more Best Buy gift cards that I wanted to spend on other gift cards, use them ASAP.
ETA: I think with all the direct deals for Best Buy from Chase Pay and Amex Offers, it’s not too big of a loss. Then there are warehouse clubs that offer upfront discounts on Disney gift cards, and credit cards that give additional cash back. But for those of you who do rewards apps and programs, you may want to reevaluate what gift card you want to pick to cash out.
Are there any MasterCards that credit extra when using plastiq like the cip? Would like to pay Mortage as long as the fee was less than the rewards. Wells Fargo so far no way around it with a visa and it says mastercard is accepted.
I'm blanking here..... again, how is 90k SPG= 270k Marriott?EDIT: to do the math on what makes the nights and flights great: 90k SPG = 112.5k Alaska if you hit the numbers right and get that 5k kicker (I know that's rough match but stick with me). 90k SPG = 270k Marriott = 120k Alaska (and you'd get 7 nights if you can find a use for them).
They convert 3:1.I'm blanking here..... again, how is 90k SPG= 270k Marriott?
I guess anyone who this applies to already knows it, but did you know active duty military gets their fees waived for credit cards? Not sure if it is all companies, I saw American Express and I believe Chase recently started as well. My daughter's friend goes to West Point and her first card at 19 is Platinum American Express, all fees waived! Not a bad perk!

Yup 3:1 for the win! Also just to add - if anybody was wondering these conversions are instant. If you log out and log back in after making a transfer your SPG and Marriott accounts will show the updated balances. They convert 3:1.
That's awesome. I wonder if they extend that to retired military. I'll do some research.

for you Amazon experts..... I have an offer to use some chase UR for a purchase and get a $15 credit.so I was trying to use just 1 UR,and pay the balance with my gc balance. I can't figure out a way to do this though, it seems that I have to pay the balance with the cc(not UR points) is there something I'm missing here?
Thank you for the link..... I tried placing an order, and it used the 1 point, then charged the card. It didn't use the gc balance,(as it promises there) so I canceled immediatelyand will try again at some point.
I've never been able to get it to work to use 1 point and then a GC or another CC to pay, it charges the balance to the card connected to the points you're using. Is there a minimum purchase amount required to get the $15 credit?Thank you for the link..... I tried placing an order, and it used the 1 point, then charged the card.
