I don’t have DirectTV with AT&T just Internet service and I went directly to Att.com. I received an email shortly after for my and DH’s AmEx offer and have received the $200 credit for each account. For those of you that have gotten the Amex credit on your ATT Directv/internet bill...Did you click through the business link on the Amex site, or did you go directly to ATT.com? I didn't go through the Amex site and I'm wondering if that's where I went wrong, because the charge is dated 10/4 and I still haven't gotten the credit, so I feel like it's not looking good.

Ugh. My current employer was bought out in March and employees are being transitioned over in the next few months to begin paychecks from new company Jan 1. We currently have PTO (vacay + holidays) with a sick bank. New employer is PTO only (all time off) no sick bank and disability which pays 50% of salary. I will lose over 400 hours of sick time. They tried to spin it “but your PTO will accrue faster and you will have short & long term disability “. Umm no, my sick time accrued and paid 100% of “disability “ not 50%.Not quite 12 weeks...but the bank does do 5 weeks PLUS 10 paid holidays (most of which end up being long weekends) LOL!
I don't "Like" this but just showing support. That's a very frustrating change! When our bank got acquired a couple years ago my position had a maximum of 35 PTO days and I think that's now down to 25. I didn't actually feel the pain of losing days as I only had 21 at the time and got cut back to 20 so no big deal (and ultimately got up to 25 now). At any rate, sorry about the crumby change!Ugh. I got mine this am. They were back up on CSR so I grabbed them. Our plan is to upgrade to APs and universal raised the price but also added an extra 3-6 months onto them if you purchase or renew a current pass by April. I’m not sure if you buy regular tix and upgrade if you’ll get the extension. But after looking at the prices it would cost us $600 more to buy them outright so I bought them with URs
That’s what I figured. Wasn’t worth it extra money for a maybe return next April. Hopefully we’ll get back once after getting them in Feb. but if we don’t we won’t be out much money.Someone on the Universal forum called and was told no to the extra months on an upgrade to AP.
As you tell the rest of us, best use is what’s best for your family. I still think using URs >cashing out just for cash. You can give yourself a statement credit for that Captiva rental, kayak or river boat tour in Fort Meyers or something else you enjoy. Heck pay for the extended family, you know how much they might appreciate it. Don’t focus on “best return” just your best use. If I had that many URs I’d just “erase” any purchase I couldn’t do thru the portal.Oh no worries. You know I love you @calypso726 and @WVMomof3 and ALL of my friends here!! I took no offense at all - I just wanted to make it clear why I was considering cashing out my URs and why it might not make sense to others. If I didn’t have all of those SW points, I’d be transferring them there. If I didn’t have the Marriott points, I’d be saving them for hotels. If we were in a different family and travel priority situation it’d be different also.
I guess the general thing we have to remember here is we are all very blessed. For most of us here, the question with vacations isn’t “HOW” it is “WHERE”. And for most Americans the question is probably HOW...as in how do I afford it!
At any rate - no offense taken. I’m still holding out hope that some great use of URs pops up...Disney coming back, or a way to use points on AirBnB or VRBO...those would be huge for us LOL
Got an upgrade offer on my no fee Amex Hilton today... for the Aspire. 150,000 points for $4k spend. I'm definitely interested in this card, but not right now. I don't feel like paying the fee just yet.
Bid on two DVC resale contracts this morning too. Haven't heard back. The mouse is bound to get my money.![]()
I thought I wanted to do a motorhome trip for our trip though the parks in Utah and Arizona. Until we were driving on those roads and I was glad for a minivan and hotels. Out friend met us in Moab and went on to Yosemite with a 5th wheel. They were delayed for hours on their way home due to high winds. They had to pull over until it was safe to continue.
Just to clarify - when you say “erase” you mean at 1cpp correct? Just want to make sure I didn’t miss some better use of points, lol!As you tell the rest of us, best use is what’s best for your family. I still think using URs >cashing out just for cash. Are you applying for the AMEX Everyday card or the Blue Cash Everyday? Where is your link coming from...Are you self-referring, referring from P1=>P2, using a DISchurnere link, public link, incognito, or something else?question about applying for an amex card.... trying to apply for a card (everyday cash) but when I hit the apply button It takes me to a page where I'm supposed to input my login info. I am doing this with my ds who needs an account setup- however when I click on setup acct- it asks for the number on the cc plus the 4 digit code..... but we don't have a card bc we're trying to applyi've tried this 4-5 times and keep going in circles..... HOW do I get into an application page???? I've tried thru a pre-qual page and incognito-switched browsers..... getting annoyed. lloks like he pre-quals for either BoA cashback card or the everyday basic card.
There is a point where some of us don't think of Disney in terms of rides, but of the atmosphere in general and the relaxing nature (depends on how you do it!).
I'm right with you on those two but everyone was doing National Parks I was on the edge of my seat and still want to go, but need someone who wants to do a long roadtrip in a motorhome with me, lol.
Just before I retired I had advanced to 6 weeks per year, plus 17 sick days, plus 15-17 holidays depending on whether it was an election year or whether certain holidays landed on week days. We were able to keep a year of annual and all of our sick. I was able to sell my sick back and use it also as time in service. It was a great deal but no where near as great as retirement!

I guess I can see how the more you go, the more relaxing it would be. When we go I am stressed trying to do and see everything in one trip to make it the best possible. I do think in the future I can see us going for an annual pass and making more frequent trips. Just have to graduate the kids out of the house first so they don't think they get one too. lol
I know this doesn't really apply to you because of your huge points balances and hotels you're staying at for your Disney trip, but just thought I'd share my thoughts on DVC. I bought 60 BCV points in 2009 and then added 31 points on in 2011, which is a really small number compared to most members. But, with those points we've gotten to stay in Disney deluxe hotels that I would never have paid Disney prices for (Poly, Beach Club, Bay Lake Tower/Wilderness Lodge). Before DVC I had only stayed at value resorts, and growing up we'd always stayed offsite. Having those DVC points has been so awesome and totally spoiled me and my family! And as far as money-wise, I paid $5800 for the 60 points, and now would be able to sell those for approx $9k, so for us it's been a great investment. I know we've paid annual fees, but I look at those as being about what we would have paid for value resorts, although now with the higher cost of those I think our AF's are probably less than that. Anyways, to sum it up I really love my DVC!![]()
DH says he wants to get an RV and travel the US to food festivals when we retire. I gained weight just listening to this retirement plan. It sounds interesting but I'm not driving a motor home. I do like the idea of visiting all the national parks though.
