Saw something on Reddit about people who got the Ink 80K offer SMing & requesting a 100K match & getting it. Pretty much everyone has been denied the match & suddenly some people are getting it. Some have asked multiple times before and been denied. Worth a shot if you got the Ink Preferred 80K offer this year.

Um- check your statement after purchase posts. frequently the last day of the month is too late to trigger the 5x,by the time my purchases post a day or two has passed and the category changed on 7/1. Your's might have gotten thru at 5x, but be aware that most often it's too late. You have to purchase a few days before end of quarter. For instance I gave it a shot on Friday with a restaurant purchase in the evening...it might show 5x for the new quarter..... Yeah, just checked my acct- and purchases from 6/28 are still pending, which means I wont get 5x for my grocery purchases that day, but my restaurant spend will count 5x so that's about what I expect.

yeah, i believe it on the purchaser and how fast they put it through. Ive gotten gas before 3 hours before the deadline and it coded for the 5x before. Im hoping for the same.

Generally it will post based on the date the transaction was made, not when it actually posts from pending. I have made purchases on the last day of the quarter and they have always counted towards that quarter, not the next one. I would be surprised if the transaction you made in June at a restaurant posts for 5x. So please let us know once it posts.

We may have had this discussion before, but that's not been my experience and I've called chase and they've confirmed it's based on the day of purchase, not the day something posts.

same here. I've made multiple transactions on the last day of the quarter and they always apply to the bonus category for the quarter the purchase was made in.

Bonus categories for Chase are always based on transaction date (have it confirmed in writing over SM sometime last year and DPs on reddit always point to this). The one that is questionable would be Discover, who also has bonus categories, but there's been many discrepancies amongst users as far as transaction vs. post date.

I guess I'll see if anything has changed on my new statement- edit- nope you're right I guess things have changed(?) the purchase on 6/30 posted on that date, even tho it didn't process for a couple of days. interesting.... I used the card just t o see what would happen points wise lol

They will just charge you at the end of your stay. We stayed 4 nights, our bill was $112. BTW they also have a green program if you skip housekeeping every day. For every day you skip, 500 Starpoints. (You still get towels, coffee & water)
did You book thru the UR portal for this? I'm familiar with regular bookings and fees.... looking specifically if anyone knows if the extra fees are in the UR portal cost or not?

Did code down correctly for me. yaay!

99 RANCH #1005 $200.00
ANAHEIM, CA 928010000 US
In-person transaction
Rewards earned1
+ Bonus from 2Q 5% cat: Grocery Stores 800.00
+ 1% (1 Pt)/$1 earned on all purchases 200.00

Total rewards 1,000.00 Points

Would have bought more but i fear it wont code correctly... haha

Is plastiq the only option for things that won't take cc?

There's also Tio .com. @peel's used it to pay her mortgage for a 3x earn with CIP. I believe Tio's transaction fee was higher than Plastiq. (But Plastiq isn't supposed to accept Visas for mortgage payments anymore so whether the transaction goes through is YMMV and whether Plastiq codes as 1x or 3x is also YMMV.)

Can anyone confirm that Disney world restaurants are coding 5x UR on the Freedom?

Anyone have experience with insurance when you use UR to book a rental car?
We have a six day car rental paid with UR points; wanted to shift the pick up time by several hours earlier.
The Chase Travel Portal was helpful and able to do it, but said the shift would add an extra day to the contract and Alamo would collect that fee from me at the counter. That's fine, too, but I'm trying to figure out insurance for the car rental. I've read conflicting reports about whether I'm insured through the travel benefits of CSP if I pay with a mixture of points and Sapphire Preferred.

Wondering if I should just cancel the car and rebook? It's for a trip starting this Sunday, July 9.
