I have never booked airfare right when the booking window opened but this time I'm ready! Do both your departure & return dates need to be open to book? I need to book June 2-9, do I have to wait to see June 9 open for return on round trip? Or do most book 2 one way tix?
Booking one way award flights is what I do.

ok..... I think Chase Travel may have worked out the onsite res. # kinks..... I made a res. for Dolphin, thru the portal (it was a good deal!) then called the number after a few days, asked for a help desk specialist(who had just returned from a WDW vacation,so she understood what I needed) 2 minutes on hold, she gave me the proper number that I could see on SPG.co,and also input to MDE! easy easy easy! I know Dolphin is techinically not disney run, but the same rules apply for FP etc so it's good to know it worked!

Wow, instant approval for CIP; just went 0/30 yesterday, but avoided applying since Chase's systems were down for the most part. Was also fully prepared for the 30 day message and having to recon since most DPs seem to indicate instant approvals for the CIP were uncommon, so this was a nice surprise for the 4th :)
Wow, congratulations! I'm jealous that you didn't have to talk to a human after my harrowing experience!

Is anyone else having trouble with Chase UR travel portal? I tried on Monday and it did not work and trying again now and saying the same thing, Try Again later blah blah blah.

Since I have never stayed at Swan or Dolphin, I am not familiar with their conf#'s. Just curious if the number you were given (that worked in MDE) was a typical Disney number (starts with a '1' and 8 digits OR starts with a '4' and 12 digits)?

Glad everything went super easy for you! That is encouraging to hear.

Right? Had to recon for my mom previously for her CIP (only needed to have her permission and then took over) and that was a LONG phone call, but approved in the end. Was ready to have to do so, but then that lovely "Approved" message magically appeared pixiedust:. Quite an adrenaline rush...think I'm developing a problem ;)

Chase had some bad IT issues starting around Mon, I'd give it another day or two for their "IT updates" to get the kinks worked out.

on top of what @gottalovepluto, i would also delete your cookies or use another browser to see if its your current one giving you issues. I had this issue trying to get into UR portal on chrome, had to delete cookies to get into the portal again.

begins with a 6 and has 8 digits. it worked on mde! (I've linked dolphin on mde before, but not this route)

Thanks! Deleted history/cookies and was able to get in.

I can get in the site but my dashboard keeps showing as everything blank. Then if I can actually pull it up and search hotels, the site keeps kicking me out and making me re-login over and over. It's definitely acting weird today.

My Dolphin confirmation number, booked thru SPG, is 9 digits, starting with 1. It worked fine in MDE. So it seems MDE accepts numbers of varying lengths/combos, except the one @wendow was given by Chase :(

That would be my luck lol!

I do wonder though if MDE isn't already set up to accept Swolphin numbers even though they are not standard Disney conf#'s. You know? I'm hoping Chase is providing accurate conf#'s now but it's hard to really know since Swolphin is not a true Disney resort.

Although hsmamato2 doesn't seem to have a typical Swolphin #. more DPs needed.

I think I've seen the occasional mention on here of opening checking accounts for the bonus cash, but I had tuned it out, as I'm lazy and it seemed like work to change direct deposits, etc. Well, I got an email from US Bank that prompted me to look into it, as I could get a $200 bonus for just making two bill pay payments and didn't have to do direct deposits. While I was looking into that (via the blogs, etc.), I learned that I could make an initial deposit of up to $500 with a credit card (and it just posts like a regular purchase). Well, that was too good to pass up, as we're working on hitting our Chase Hyatt spend right now. So, as long as everything works like it should, I should be getting $200 as a bonus AND got $500 towards my CC spend. For the two bill pay amounts, I did the minimum of $25 and used them to pay other credit cards that I've run things through, so that I don't waste $50 of spending that I could have put towards my Hyatt spend! Once everything posts, I think I'll do the same thing for my husband and get another $200. :thumbsup2

just make sure you drop your cash advanced down to $0 before you proceed. you dont want to risk it code as a cash advance.
I did a few bank openings just to earn those bonuses too. :]

Thanks, I don't see any indication of it coding as a cash advance. The detail shows it was a "online, mail, or telephone transaction." The blog info I found indicated it should just post as a regular spending transaction as well. But that's part of why I'm waiting to verify everything before signing my DH up too.
