I've been trying for 3 days to bring up the 20k offer. I can't get it to save my life...I've tried incognito in 4 browsers plus on my phone. So, I went with the referral offer(a DISfriend, of course!)

Oh, by the way, you cannot get increased biz offers incognito - only personal. Some people reported success calling Amex and asking for the 20k offer, but using a referral is the easier and less headache-y option.

Our boys would miss that week, but DD19 will already be out. Works out well except I don't know the hockey tournament schedule. I'm gonna assume there isn't one the week before Christmas but it is possible

If the hockey tournament dates are anything like they were years ago when my kids were playing they usually started the day after Christmas...but each year was a bit different depending on the day of the week Christmas was.

Have they started practice yet, could you ask the coach or team manager what tournaments they are going to attend...I was always the team manager and we could have to book tournaments way in advance so the team didn’t get shut out..also some coaches always did Thanksgiving and Christmas tournaments...others avoided the major holidays...going to Labor Day, Columbus Day and President week tournaments

Since I'm up early I was able to check for more Amex offers. I have no good ones but DH has 10% off up to $20 for groceries plus 10% off up to $10 for department stores as well as $15 off Macy's. On one of mine plus 2 AUs also got 3x MR at Amazon. The deals just keep coming

Step 1 of my 1st Plastiq payment successfully completed with my card processed this time. 15k URs coming my way...Now I wish I could convince DH to use it for other payments like our mortgage but he is already flipping out about $122 fee for our real estate taxes.

For those of us that do bank bonuses, it seems Ally pushes are not triggering for me anymore. The clue was DPs of M&T Bank bonuses posting the next day after meeting requirements. Salem Five also did not post with an Ally push. So now, I'm trying to move money around to my Schwab brokerage and try that as a push, which is... inconvenient. Hopefully, that will work.

First with the 10% back at Staples and now 10% back anywhere (up to a whopping $5, but still 10% is 10%.) Also, there's one for 3x back on Amazon until 8/28. (2 additional pts for a total of 3x)

The department store one is good only at these stores: Bealls, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, Boscov’s, Century 21, Dillard’s, J.C. Penney (JCP), Kohl’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Stein Mart.
Sounds to me like it should stack with the Macy's offer too.

From yesterday's offers I have Kimpton and Choice hotels, Banana Republic, and Cole Haan today that I know weren't there yesterday. Could be because I checked the phone app but I thought I looked online later but not sure.

Thanks for the replies about vegas hotels, hopefully going to decide today if the trip is a go and get a reservation... I'll probably pay cash or look through the UR portal, I have marriott/starwoods points but thought I remember there aren't many good options with them close to the strip.

Plastiq charged my CIP this morning for my student loan payment, so that should be the last thing I need to put my CIP over $5000. I'll see if my 80k URs show as pending next week and then call in to Chase to get my extra 20k applied.

I'm going to apply for the Citi AA biz here in a few since I'll be leaving to go out of town again for a horse show tomorrow morning. I'll have internet access, but am likely to forget what with everything else going on.

As to SOs and vacations, I've finally gotten DH on track for going to Arizona next April. All I had to do was talk about it what I wanted to do repeatedly until last night he blurted out "when we go to Phoenix next year, I want to go to this BBQ restaurant." Success... now I need to plan out how I want these flights to work/accumulate some more hotel and rental car points.

Happened with our Hilton biz cards too. I just went ahead and made another log in, but I bet if you just give it some time it will work eventually. Probably has to do with the system updating.

I do a budget meeting with DH every few months - he takes care of medical bills and any other irregular payments, but I manage everything else on auto pay and all the big picture decisions. That way he at least has a clue where we stand. I'm also in charge of churning and all travel planning. I'm a planner, he is more of an in the moment kind of guy. I will ask for months what he wants to do when we go someplace, but he won't even start thinking about a trip until a few days before we actually go.

The Cosmopolitan is a good Marriott option right on the strip - next to the Bellagio - you can watch the fountains from your room if you are on the right side of the hotel. Not cheap in terms of points, but it is a nice place and we LOVE China Poblano for a fun, casual meal. The bar inside a chandelier is fun too.

it seems like its changing... if you add on one SSN account, all the others will disappear. The best thing to do now is to merge them all into one and open a new tab for each card and add.
for some reason best buy one disappeared around 9 hours ago... it seems like its based on who adds first and then while supplies last.

Boo, I didn't realize the offers can disappear. I had the Best Buy offer yesterday, went to add it today and it is gone.

Yeah, need a "meh" emoji for the Amazon offer. None of the smilies seemed suitably apathetic for that one. It's not bad if you're using the MR point offer and didn't have time to use any other offer to get discounted GCs first. But yeah, meh.

Didn't realize about the gift cards, now I have to see if we even have a Penney's left around here. Dept stores are going the way of the dodo in my neck of the woods.

No biggie for me. I really didn’t need to be spending any more money. Savings, resell, or otherwise. I have a closet full of deals that I’ve bought from TRU, Best Buy, Target and Amazon that I still have to list. My closet is literally is full of toys, tech, corrugated boxes and other packing supplies. It may collapse on my poor wife at any time. Those and all the gift cards I’m buying because of Walgreens, Staples, Lowe’s deals and now Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond have me floating a lot of cash in inventory and gift cards.

this is kind of how I feel at the moment.... I'm swimming in gc offers still,and I want to max them all to get the rewards....

Looks like you can get the refund on your current reservations at marriott if the points go down, without losing your ressie. Just have to call and request it.
