Chase UR Disney World Ticket Watch 2018: Today is one week from when we bought tickets from Chase Travel, no tickets yet. Called Chase Cruise and they talked to the agent who booked the tickets, she said she's been checking on them but they haven't processed yet and she will be calling Funjet Monday if she doesn't have the confirmation numbers by then *sigh*
Why can’t tbey just cancel that order and buy direct from Disney?

The three cruise department agents I've talked with over the last week didn't have a clue how to book tickets direct with Disney. That and I honestly don't feel like pushing it because my trip isn't until fall. The downsides to attempting to re-book direct right now imho are:
-how long before URs are refunded? I don't have enough URs to cover the cost of tickets twice while waiting for a refund
-what if booking direct with Disney isn't a thing anymore for tickets (despite the blogger's claims) and I were to end up back in the Funjet cue all over again?

If this doesn't shake out over the next couple weeks I'll re-evaluate but for now I'm holding steady and just grousing every once in a while ;)

I missed the gift part... are you buying the membership now?

Yes. There's a option to gift Prime membership. You buy it and then Amazon emails a code to the recipient (or yourself) to redeem on their account. So you can buy the gift membership now and then just not redeem the code until your Prime would renew. It should be a way to keep the current rate for another year.

Are you trying for the Companion Pass?
...
consumer card + 1 SW business card = enough bonus points for CP.
...
Welcome! And come on in. This is hard stuff, but we’re all here to help each other save a little (or a lot of) money on vacations. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks! That is my plan, to get the business card - hopefully new one will have an even better sign-up bonus - and a personal one. Hoping for companion pass for 2019/2020.

Are you looking for MR? I’m curious too since I can only seem to get approved for Chase and Amex cards. lol I was looking at the Business Gold, but there are targeted offers for 75,000 MR instead of the 50,000. I called asking for it and the guy wouldn’t give it to me. He was pushy trying to get me to apply for the 50,000. He was like isn’t 50,000 better than 0 and I was like nahhh lol. I think I’m going to call and say I lost the mailer is there anyway to pull it up lol

I don’t have any MRs yet. Well, we have 14k, but that’s basically nothing.
I’m not opposed to them.

I might start with the Hilton biz for me and DH. Would help top off our points from stays so we can get enough for a 2nd room at wailea.

Curious to know which other ones we should consider too.

Thanks! I didn’t know there was an MGM here. I need a ceasers one though, but I just looked and there is one in Baltimore.

I was reading the DoC post and there's a comment from tonight saying it might only be in AC the Gold > Diamond match. It's not a usual status match, so if it doesn't work out in Baltimore you may need to road trip.

And generally you need the competitors card and photo ID to get the TR match. Good luck!

Thank you. You just saved me an hour drive one way. I don’t have the MLIFE card yet. I just put in the match on Hyatt so hopefully I get this physical card soon. I’m hoping they will respond to my email and just give me the match. But maybe I’ll stop in NJ on my way to NY this summer if it’s still available.

Well good thing you have some time and you are not getting ready to leave! I can't answer that case exactly, or the second question, but when I canceled my Chase web booked Disney room only reservation the points were back in my account while still on the phone with them.

Wow, so sorry about this. I think I lucked out because the rep tried to book with funjet and I insisted that the price was cheaper directly with Disney. So she went on the Disney website to confirm and booked. Our trip is 37 days out so I would be furious if this happened to me.
