Anyone ever pay personal property taxes through Plastiq with their CIP? Just curious as to how it has shown up with URs. I realize it could vary widely between different localities, just didn't know if we had any DPs.

I'm so glad you mentioned this. I probably would have sent a check, not thinking about it. I will definitely be doing this as long as Plastiq doesn't block it. It seems that everything gets 3x UR when paid with CIP/Plastiq. Hopefully, that won't be any different.

I got 1% cashback with my discover debit card for doing a bill pay and buying a money order at Walmart.

Really dumb question about buying a money order - do you have to fill out who the payment is going to when you purchase it? I have a contractor to pay who only takes checks and cash.

The wait for my Discover debit card is killing me. I was hoping to do a bill pay to my mortgage company for May.

When I got a bunch of them at the post office several years ago (yay for Brazil visas only taking individual money orders and not one group one) I got them blank. The same thing when I got them at my bank, I had to fill it out myself later.

Persistence pays off...3rd call on my SW Plus card...waived annual fee

I actually didn't have high hopes for this call - it was on Monday afternoon, CSR seemed nice but firm that nothing could be done. Then suddenly said they'd put in a request for it (I figured to get me off the phone). And whatdya know...waived AF just appeared on my account

Thanks on the responses on personal property taxes. I have two separate bills to pay so I may do a test run with one. I still have over a month before they’re due so that will give me some time.

Just called into Chase and the automated line switched to approved for my new CIP!!! I think that’s actually the fastest I’ve ever been approved, which is funny since this is my fourth Chase card. For expediting, I just call the number on the back of the CIP, right? I can get the number off DH’s card.

It's a good morning for me!! I just called Chase to ask them if they could expedite my CIP. While I had the agent on the phone, I told her that I had seen the increased offer for small business week but didn't have a Chase branch within five hours of my home or even within my state to apply in branch. She put me on hold for a couple minutes and came back and said they would match the 100k offer for me!!! She said once I meet the MSR to call Chase back and ask the agent to check the note on my account from today and that they would apply my additional points then! I'm so excited!! That means once those points apply, DH's referral points hit, and I meet the MSR on this, I will now have 305k UR points!!!

Thank you all so much for your help with this!! If anyone else is applying for CIP this week, it may be worth it to call and ask. It could just be that I had the perfect storm since I do not have any accessible Chase branches near me, but I'm glad they're giving me the bonus!

800-945-2028. I usually follow the prompt for a lost or damaged card and then once I get an agent on the phone tell them I was just approved and want the card expedited. Maybe someone else has a clearer way to get there.

That’s fantastic news you got over the phone! Every report I’ve read about trying to get matched over SM has been a fail. The SBW promo was sounding no different than the everyday offer that makes you apply through a BRM. So glad you were able to get those extra 20k (not to mention the 20k on the referral)!

There’s no such thing as nosy around here I think we are all very happy to answer any questions about what we are doing or our strategy to help each other.

I didn’t want to cancel either of my SW cards. Sometimes I can get referrals (either here or from friends/family) so if I cancel that won’t happen anymore. My goal was to get both fees waived and keep the anniv. points. I got the Premier waived a couple months ago (on my 3rd or 4th try I think) but now was striking out on the Plus thus far.

The AF should hit on the first of a month and you can still cancel up to 30 days after and get it refunded. I just keep trying once a week until my 30 days are up, LOL!

Still plugging along working on getting tickets and hotel for Universal in October. Cabana Bay is showing again on UR and has gone down just a bit. Yay!

My research is suggesting that one can redeem MR for Universal tickets but I am having a really hard time seeing what kind of redemption is available or how that works. Does anyone know how many MR it would take to get a Universal ticket? Or if it is even still possible? I don't have an MR card, so I can't see and I just can't find solid evidence if it is still possible or whether it is an OK or terrible redemption rate.

Same with Citi TY points. There is some evidence suggesting it but I can't find anything solid.

Anyone know anything about these?
