I love credit cards so much!

Forgive my skepticism and naivete, but I've just recently obtained the Disney Premier Visa. I understand that there is the 0% financing for 6 months for paying for a Disney Vacation. Does this mean that if I've currently been paying for a vacation with a combination of gift cards and other credit cards, that if my next payment were to be made with the the DPV, that I can still obtain 0% interest on payments made with it? Or does the initial/total amount charged have to be paid off at the time of booking?

We booked a vacation in January 2016. I applied for the Disney Visa in August 2016 when I received the $200 back after purchasing $500. I put $200 on in September and then $509 on in October to pay off the trip. I received 0% interest on all $709. I did not originally book the package with that card so you definitely get zero percent on any payments. I’m pretty sure it has to be a package though (room only doesn’t qualify)
I just signed up my husband for the same promo since it’s offered again.

Edit- my card is not the premier but I’m sure it’s true for both cards

Unless things have changed you should be able to as long as it’s a package deal from Disney

Update on wedding in Phoenix plans. I booked our hotel at the Holiday Inn Express by the airport with 36k IHG points. It is only a few miles from the other hotel, so not a big deal. And it will make it easier to get our flight out on Sunday morning. I used 6k UR points to book a car. Will keep checking back to see if I can get it any cheaper.

For flights, my plan is to wait until SW extends their schedule and then transfer UR points to SWRR to pay for the flights. That way our only out of pocket expenses will be food and any activities we do on Friday when we arrive. I am so glad that we can make this happen. My cousin came to our wedding in 2015. Since we had a destination wedding (in Wyoming), I didn't expect most of my cousins to show up, so I was quite surprised when several of them did. My cousin also lost both of his parents, his mom when he was young and his father more recently. I know having lots of family attend his wedding will probably mean a lot to him. I guess I should say a thank you to Chase for making this happen.

I have used American Express MR points to transfer into JetBlue. 250 MR = 200 JB
I also do Points for Surveys dot com for Jet Blue points.
thanks....so I have no MR points at all..... is this the only one? hoping to find some other ways to build some

There are co-branded credit cards you can get that come with bonus points after a minimum spend.

If you have Chase UR points you can book through the portal without transferring directly to Jet Blue.

And with points for surveys DOT com you can easily get a minimum of 50 FREE jet blue points a day. It is a slow earner but the points do build up over time.

The current American Express Amex Everyday card bonus is 15,000 after spending $1,000 within the first three months. If you are a member of Dischurners on Reddit you can see some "support" links there to get this offer. :rolleyes1

Thanks. I may end up using some UR to book if I need to,I already maxed out my chase apps getting these points, I just need some more.... UR valuation help? if say (just an example) a RT flight costs 250 cash, how many UR's would be 'worth it' to pay that equivalent?

I need some ideas for flight to MCO next March. Booked Swan for Spring Break 2019 today but the plan for CP is gone now. DH just got denied for CIP, not sure why, no letter yet. He is 4/24, will drop to 3/24 later this year. He got SW card 7/2017. I’m 7/24, 6/24 later this year. We have 25k RR points between us. We have some AA miles but will use those for Vancouver for cruise in May 2019. Will have 35k SPG points after finishing spend on SPG Biz
I’m just so bummed at not being able to work on CP.

Would you focus on URs to use for SW flights? We’re in Chicago, so we could fly United or Delta but SW usually has best flights/prices for MCO. I hate to use the SPG points because we love Swolphin, even though it’s not best use of points. Ideas?

I think your best bet is going for CP in 2020 with the potential double dip method or the biz/personal method.
I’d definitely prioritize that in my planning if it is something you want.

So for 2019 just transfer UR to sw. My CP ran out in dec and I was going to skip this year and get it again for 2019. So I understand totally your frustration. But since that was my plan, I have been focusing on URs and transferring to SW as I need them. The nice thing about it is I can consider other airlines this way. I have not used another one, but the possibility is there in case I find a better deal or sw doesn’t fly to a certain destination I need. Also, it is easier to accrue UR to transfer to sW than to accrue SW points because of the various cards earning 2x and 3x points, where SW only earned 1x.

Plus, there is always hope the new sw premium card might be awesome. I’d love if it offered a similar program to alaska’s CP thing. Or even a $500/fee and get their CP. I’d do that in a heartbeat! When flying 6 people, anything helps!

Ok I checked out the thread...tell me about this card please...... how do you 'easily' get the 20 swipes for 20% bonus? I'm curious (I checked incognito, only pulled a 10k offer for me) so if I did apply I'd use a referral- I wonder if they'd give it to me considering I already have the BCP card.....

A $270 flight on Jet Blue "Blue Flex" would be 23,000 points if booked directly with Jet Blue using True Blue Points. Not sure how much the same flight would be with UR portal, but it would probably be more.

A $230 flight on Jet Blue "Blue" would be 20,100 points if booked directly with Jet Blue using True Blue Points.

Assuming the UR portal has the flights for the same price it would be 27k points. Or less with a CSP or CSR.

Does it say there is a min purchase amount? If not you could buy 20 single bananas for 20 swipes, or something similar.

If you use the card 20 times in a billing period they give you 20% extra in points for that billing period. I usually put all my small charges on this card to ensure I get the 20% extra each month on my larger purchases.

Not sure about your BCP card.
