I love credit cards so much!

I’m not referencing any sort of card categories. You can earn a bonus one time on every card with AMEX (so you can earn a bonus on BCE, BCP, ED, EDP, etc - all of them).

However, If you sign up for a 15k offer on a card that offers 25k via incognito, you have left 10k MRs on the table and can never sign up for that card again, that’s all. You always want to hit the highest offer of possible with AMEX.

EDIT: I did have to close my ED card to apply for EDP, they wouldn’t let me apply for one while I held the other. BUT I did earn a bonus on both of them.
what's the pattern? I can't pull up a 25k offer on any browser incognito or otherwaise(all I could pull was 10k!)

If it isn’t urgent to apply I’d maybe try a few times over the next couple of days. If you really want to get the card rolling the 15k MR Bonus isn’t bad though. And it requires a lower spend than the 25k offer...(I think it’s $1k vs. $2k).

@SouthFayetteFan Can always tell once someone finishes their morning coffee. :rotfl2:

You know how you can tell when someone hasn't finished their morning coffee? :surfweb: When they are doing Amazon GC reloads for a bank bonus and reload for $103.00 instead of $1.03 :scared: :badpc: I think subconsciously I must have looking for an excuse to order more Death Wish coffee.

What are the best sign-up bonuses right now? I have to pay my taxes and usually just get either my wife or I the companion pass, but it seems like there may be better deals out there.

We need a bit more info first :)
How many cards have you opened in the last 24 months and what were they?

Is your SO signing up as well?

What do you want? Cash, convertible award currencies (Chase URs, Amex MRs), specific airline miles, specific hotel points?

What sort of spend are looking to put on the card over the next 3 months? 3k? 10k? More/less? Can the payments be split or will it all go on one card?

Ouch! If you don’t want more coffee don’t forget you can buy 3rd party gift cards with amazon credit.

Just two chase cards in the last 24 months; one business and one personal southwest. I’ve got about $10k I need to pay, so looking to get the most out of it. I’m flexible in the rewards; I usually stick with Southwest or American Airlines, any major hotel brand, or AMEX membership rewards. If Chase URs are more lucrative, I’ll have to learn the program.

Not looking for an app-o-rama; just trying to get the most out of tax payments.

I'm new to AMEX, I just applied so I can get the balance transfer $0 fee and 0% APR which I need for a no interest loan at the moment. I never thought I'd get an AMEX, my choice that I saw out on the internet when trying to meet the above criteria was either BoA or this one. I picked up a 15,000 bonus rather than the 10,000 AMEX membership, not sure what good this all does since I'm completely in unfamiliar territory with AMEX and just needed it for the no interest loan I will have until August 2019. Through this board I've read about some great ideas and also picked up a SW card for the bonus. I'll be checking this board out more often, though I don't think I'll ever get up to the level of being a great travel reward churner.

It is easier than you think. Stick around this thread. I have learned tons and have more points with a few different programs than I ever thought I would have.
I started this hobby to be able to get my son home from school and back with minimal expense. I have succeeded with that goal using several different airlines and now have enough points in different programs to fly the family for vacations too. I will soon start to branch out to hotel programs too.
Chase UR is my preferred earning because they are so versatile. Second for me is Amex MR. Then Discover It cash back.

Does anyone by chance have an answer for the question below?

I already have a CF, CSP, CIPlus-old, CI-old. I’m thinking about canceling the old CI since I rarely use it, have the CIPlus and it will free up that credit line.
If I decide to cancel before I apply for the CIP is there a timeframe I should wait to apply after canceling the old CI?

Not really necessary to wait. If it’s not an urgent application though I might wait a month to let it clear Chase’ system (but I don’t have any reason to say why...it’s just what I’d do LOL)

To me URs are more lucrative because I like redeeming for travel at 1.5 cents per point with my Sapphire Reserve, I like their transfer partners and I like the cash-out option in case I ever need to emergency point liquidate because I’ll get 1cpp. Definitely check them out. Imho the best option if you do Chase is you could get a Chase Ink Preferred for 80k URs and then refer your SO to the same card and they get 80k UR plus you’d get 20k for the referral. Basically that would be a total of $10k in spend for 180k URs (worth a minimum of $1,800) minus $190 total in annual fees.
