Also, if you download and use the Mileage Plus X (MPX) app you can earn miles that way. I bought some stuff on Oldnavy.com, I logged onto the MPX app purchased an Old Navy gift card for $60 and earned 300 miles, those post instantly.

Arrive at 8:30 am PST July 29 and take a redeye back on July 31. We'll go to Disneyland our first day there (have gone previously so we won't sweat not being in the park at rope drop). We'll go to CA Adventure our next day there. We really just want to see all the Pixar stuff more than anything, so as long as we get to see the new castle show and the parades then we'll be all set! Probably do some Disney springs our last day and Uber into LA before flying back.

We literally thought up this trip idea like... yesterday. We both just were so excited by the idea of seeing everything Pixar that we really wanted to go! I even found a hotel for $115 a night with good reviews within .5 mile of Disney!

Yes! And how can you not love a parade led by the lamp!? I'm also super excited to see Paint the Night again. We saw it when we went in January 2016 and LOVED it. I really think it's the best parade Disney has ever done and wish they would bring it to WDW!

We saw it Aug. 2016 and LOVED it. I still can't believe they didn't send it to WDW. I really still don't understand how DL has 2 night parades and WDW has 0!

I know!! Though I have to say I wasn’t sad to see MSEP leave WDW... don’t attack me, Disneyland fans! I wasn’t very impressed when we saw it on our honeymoon. I can distinctly remember loving Spectromagic though!

DH applied for the CIP card today, using ebay sales as his business. The "please call" message popped up and the email said he'd hear by mail in 30 days. When I called the automated number it said 2 weeks.

Should he call the number and talk to someone or just wait it out and see what happens?

Fun!!! Might want to consider springing for the 3 day ticket when you get closer to your trip*. Our “Disney Springs” sucks to put it nicely. And a good chunk of the end of it with Earls/Rainforest Cafe/ESPN/movie theaters will be in the process of being demolished. And the World of Disney Store is only operating at part capacity as its undergoing a major refurbishment that will last all year. *unless you have other LA plans of course!

I’d wait it out. Should change in the next couple days.

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts about the Chase Freedom as a "foundation" card (great analogy). I'm pretty fearless about my own apps (really how much can I mess it up with 15+ cards?) but it scares me a little recommending cards to my kids.

Very likely, the "please call" message is for identity verification. Chase is trying to confirm it's DH who applied and probably won't ask about his business. Whether DH decides to call is up to him. If DH calls, DH can probably get verified and approved on the phone, and the CIP will be on its way (DH can even ask they expedite the card on the same call). There's a small chance DH will be asked about his business. If DH doesn't feel comfortable calling, or doesn't want to risk getting asked about his business, Chase will work it out themselves. The 2 weeks message is good and will likely lead to approval in a few days whether DH calls for verification or not.

We kinda forgive you FWIW PTN is just gorgeous. I’m hoping that since Hong Kong has one and DL has v2.0 Disney ponies up the money for a 3.0 for WDW!
