I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Is there a way to see what promos were available from cards at a certain time?

I got the Alaska Airlines card in December and I KNOW I did it because there was an elevated offer. However, I was credited the 60,000 miles. I am not sure how to prove that it was an elevated offer and I want to double check the exact offer before I call. I am searching on DoC but not really finding what I am looking for. Kicking myself for not taking a screenshot.

Othwerwise... anyone have luck getting BoA to match a new offer? Ugh. I am pretty sure this is no.
I know you said you searched DoC, but I searched "Alaska" on the CC sign-up bonuses page, and found this 75k one from Nov, 2024. Even though the date at the top shows January 7, 2025, it's the page the 75k link from Nov takes you too, and you can see comments all the way back in Nov.

Is that the one you used?

DW recently opened up a US Bank Silver business checking account to get the bonus. I have moved over the required $5k but also they want 5 transactions. One of the options is debit card transactions. Do I have to run her debit card as a debit with the PIN or can I do it online without the PIN basically as a credit card transaction? So far I've done two online transactions and two through Walmart Pay and haven't been asked for a PIN. I just want to make sure I do the requirement for the bonus.

I'm doing $5 Amazon reloads with the debit card. The transaction description says "Debit Purchase", which I would think fits their "Debit card purchases" criteria.

No clue. The wording is somewhat vague. I have physically taken it to the store and run it as debit, done 3 times so far. I'm not sure there is even a way to know that you have fulfilled the requirements.

"Qualifying transactions include debit card purchases, ACH credits, Wire Transfer credits and debits, Zelle credits and debits, U.S. Bank Mobile Check Deposit or Bill Pay. Other transactions such as (but not limited to) other Person to Person payments, transfers to credit card or transfers between U.S. Bank accounts are not eligible."
I don't remember seeing the letter with the PIN so I went ahead and changed it. I'll run 5 small debits just to be sure.

Yes, you are probably right! I did find that post but the January dates were throwing me off. Still don't know how to prove that I did that offer instead of the 60,000 mile offer but at least I know I am not crazy.

Thanks!

Just saw this write up posted on Reddit.

Your trip is going to be amazing. Last year some friends and I did all 6 domestic parks in one day. I love crazy fun Disney adventures. I’m trying to convince them to do this same trip lol

Hilton frequently has NLL offers. They are very easy to get. And yes you can pool Hilton points. Up to 500k a year. No fee.

If you have dvc I would try to book DLH in Anaheim. Availability isn’t bad right now at 7 months especially if you are ok grabbing a handicap accessible room.

Thanks for the reddit link! Same family that is posting here on disboards as Rimmit. Great trip report that someone else linked me to. He is a great writer. Perfect starting point for all my research.

Seems like Japan planning will be challenging!

I'm intimidated and excited at the same time. Lol.

Online chat with AmEx today about a retention offer for my personal plat and was offered 35k MR for $4k spend. Passed and will try again if I am denied a CSR.

Does anyone know when the AA pts from my Aviator biz card will post? I was approved on December 5th -- statement posted on January 9th and was paid the same day.

I would have expected to see the points post with your February statement - which I assume was Feb 9th. Something doesn't seem right if they haven't posted by now.

P2 had a problem with Barclays for the SUB on the JetBlue Business card. It didn't post and she had to call. They opened an investigation and the points showed up about 10 days later.

Thank you. The Feb statement posted showing a $0 balance, the account shows that I've 'completed' earning 70k AA points, but '0 miles earned since last statement'. Nothing has been posted to my AA account, so I guess I'll have to call tomorrow morning.

so I'm looking to book a Hampton inn for one night, a Friday- website shows no availability- however if I add a 2nd night, it's available- is this common not to allow a one night booking? Think calling in would help? I can try the local hotel number, or the 800 line? Haven;t seen tthis before- (and they allow other nights singly, just not Fridays?)

I think calling the hotel would help you understand why they require a two-night booking for that weekend. Plenty of hotels do it when there are events scheduled nearby, e.g. football games, basketball games, concerts, graduations, etc.

yeah its in the middle of a busy city near tourist attractions so I can see that

Last time I had that card it took a month and two weeks after meeting the SUB for the miles to appear.

Any recent DPs on getting a GE application through to the point where you can schedule your interview? I've been dragging my feet applying for my kiddos even though they became free last year. We booked a spring break trip to Jamaica, so I figure might as well get the app done and do the GE interview upon arrival, but we fly in 7 weeks. These are kids with no interesting history to speak of so they should theoretically be an easy conditional approval.

Also, OMG, did you know that "email+words@gmail.com" will then arrive at your gmail box but you can see the full "+words" part to know who it was directed to? So, you can make unique log ins for each of your kids while still just having everything come to your email AND you can tell right away which one its directed to incase you get a generic Dear Applicant or similar. Mind blown!

Checked my AA account before calling and the points were in my account -- yay!

Applied and received IA for the CSR with $20k CL :yay::yay:! Always love more URs. Think I'll put some spend on my latest CIP to up my chances of getting approval in the summer.

Thought I'd write a little summary of the hotels that ds and I stayed at on our trip to Singapore and Japan.

In Singapore we had 2 rooms at the Conrad. I booked the base level room and we were both upgraded to executive rooms on the same floor as the lounge (love being on this floor). I paid $275.00 / night / room, which I think is an excellent price for the hotel. While it might not be the newest, most luxurious hotel in Singapore, I like the location, the rooms are spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, the breakfast food is good, and the staff are all amazing, seriously over-the-top excellent service. I will stay here next year when I'm in Singapore on my way back from Japan. I got double points with the current HH promo and used my Aspire to pay, which adds nicely to my stash of HH points!

I've already commented on the Hyatt Centric Ginza. LOVE this hotel, LOVE Ginza, would definitely stay here again. Staff were all amazing, knowledgeable and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and options were plentiful. Beds are on the hard side, so if that's going to affect your sleep then something to consider (didn't bother me). I was gifted GoH status by a very generous member of this board -- never would've paid the cash price of $50.00 / per person. Having said that I stayed 1 night before heading home -- I went to City Bakery and paid $15 for 1 thick slice of toast, 1 egg, small salad and 2 thick pieces of bacon. Jam was an extra $0.25.

In Osaka we stayed at the Conrad. I booked the base king room (1 room cash and 1 points) and ds and I were both upgraded to deluxe rooms (not sure how they were different). I liked the hotel -- rooms were clean, the beds super comfy, breakfast was good (not a lot of western options -- I thought the breakfast at the Hyatt Centric was better), views were amazing and the location was.....not great, at least not IMHO. While the hotel sat atop a subway station, it wasn't walking distance to anything. Every time we wanted to go somewhere we had to take the subway. I don't mind taking the subway, but for some reason this really bothered me at this particular hotel. It was more than twice the cost of the Conrad Singapore and I didn't think it was worth it. Next time I'd probably stay at the WA Osaka, which appears to be walking distance to Osaka Station.

A few pics of the room -- notice there was no water closet in the bathroom. That's because it was down a hallway and around the corner (very odd layout). Also, see the tiny bathrobe -- I thought it was for a child, but apparently it was for adults -- length was well above my knees and the sleeves were at my elbows -- not what I'd call luxurious either. Welcome gift was a small bottle of sake, which drinkers might have liked. Turndown service was inconsistent -- the first night the room was turned down and nothing left, yet ds got 2 TWG tea bags and a sweet left on his pillow, same thing next night and the following night. On the third night I called and was told that they don't leave anything at turndown -- not sure who was leaving ds nice tea and sweets -- that will remain a mystery LOL. Executive lounge was okay -- the evening food was mediocre, I made it to afternoon tea once and found the food a bit better than mediocre. Never went to the lounge for breakfast because the FD told us at check-in that there weren't many western options for breakkie in the lounge and that's all that I can manage in the am. The staff at the FD was amazing. Some may love this hotel, but it wasn't for me (ds LOVED it, so it depends on what you value -- for me it's all about location).

As yes, I haven't spoken on this thread about the Fantasy Springs Hotel at DisneySea. I booked this hotel because of the location in the newly-opened Fantasy Springs area of DisneySea and in that respect it delivered. The location was amazing. No pics of the room because ds got to the room before me (I stopped to watch the fireworks from the balcony off the lobby) and really settled in. Ds thought it akin to a room at a Holiday Inn, I'd probably agree. Except that the HI doesn't give you free tote bags (2 per night), little plastic cups (4 per night), slippers (not anything you'd want to use at home) and a 90 degree of the (very small) fantasy garden! The beds were very comfortable, but there was barely any theming in the room -- fine by me, but those that have come to expect elaborate theming would probably be disappointed. Spotlessly clean of course. The breakfast was very good -- plenty of options! We found it amusing that they had lasagna and pasta with red sauce at breakfast (ewww), yet the locals were eating it so go figure.

We got to the hotel from the Hyatt around 7:45am -- check-in was fairly quick, but the CSR didn't give us any explanation of our package. Nada. Wish they didn't use little pieces of paper for everything (minus the park tickets) -- referring to the unlimited Priority Passes (PPs) and unlimited drink tickets as well as the tickets for breakfast & dinner, early entry passes and vouchers for merchandise and popcorn. We passed off our luggage and took the monorail to TDL -- I didn't realize that we didn't get early entry on check-in day, so we joined the regular queue. The line started to move around 5 mins before park opening and we were in within 10 mins, so not bad.

Having the unlimited PPs was clutch. We were able to walk around and enjoy the park at a reasonable pace. Vanelope theming was abundant and I got a small bag and plate to bring home with our lunch. Ds loved Big Thunder Mountain so we rode 3X; I loved the original Splash Mountain, but got pretty wet the first time -- I went back a second time, but ds skipped -- I was in the front and got soaked again (even though I put the hood of my jacket up the front of my hair was soaked!) We both LOVED Beauty and the Beast -- rode 2X (I didn't realize that the teacups really twirl you around -- caught me off guard and I found myself a bit woozy after riding -- we waited before riding again, I didn't want to chance a third time). Pooh's Honey Hunt was SO good that we rode 3X! It's a Small World 'featuring Groot' was so good -- loved how Groot was in almost every scene (dd is a huge fan of Groot so I got several pics -- he was in every land doing something unique to that region -- very well done -- LOVED this!). Star Wars our PPs let us down -- we were lumped with the standby line pretty quickly and ended up waiting 30-40 mins. Monsters Inc and Buzz Lightyear were alright. Haunted Mansion was closed and Space Mountain is undergoing a major refurb. We didn't do Baymax because ds thought it looked too much like a ride for little kids! Pirates of the Caribbean was good, nothing special, rode once. We had lunch at Tomorrowland Terrace and the food was edible (the salad was the best thing about the meal). Dinner was at Hokusai and the food was quite good!

Has anyone driven or familiar with driving from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando or vice versa? Have a family
wedding to go next weekend. Originally planned on flying back next morning but decided to drive down
to WDW after wedding about 7-730 in rental. However looking at the map has me a bit apprehensive
driving this at night. Parts of the route look very desolate. With me are my kids and 21 yr old niece.
Driven this a couple times years ago during the DAY and it was pleasant.

We could wait until first thing in the morning (monday) but will miss rope drop and may hit traffic?.
Thoughts? Anyone driven this at night? thanks
