I've seen that US Bank has virtual card numbers that can be used until the physical card arrives. How do I get access to this? I don't see the business card I was just approved for listed in the US bank app. When I try to create a business account it asks for the card or account number. Funny thing is I received an email congratulating me on my new account and telling me to download the app.

Home from a week at a work conference in Cincinnati. Was supposed to fly out at 0715 yesterday morning. Boarded, then delayed due to a hydraulic leak, then deplaned, then cancelled 4.5 hours later. Ended up leaving CVG at 1600 and ended up getting home 6 hours late. So far United has given me a $15 food voucher, that covered about half my lunch, and offered my colleague on the same flight 3,500 pts. This is now 5 of the last 6 flights with issues in the last 60 days.

I'm a little lost on how to use doordash (non restaurant) credits.... I used the 2 $20 credits last month at a convenience store, but I (think) it was quarterly credits at that point (?) and it's n ow monthly credits? when Do I know if I have a new monthly credit to use? I looked on Doordash page to mock place an order, it wasn't showing any $10 credit on the order I was considering..... any place to read clear how-to for this?

I was going to type this out but I remember DOC has a post here's a copy and paste better than I could write it.
  • Sapphire Reserve cardholders get all four of the above-mentioned benefits. You’ll get DashPass through 2027. And through January 2025, you’ll get one $5 monthly credit which works everywhere and two $10 promo discounts each calendar month which work on non-restaurant orders. Starting February 2025, you’ll get one monthly $5 discount on restaurant orders and two $10 monthly discounts on non-restaurant orders.
  • Sapphire & Sapphire Preferred cardholders get DashPass and the non-restaurant credit. You’ll get DashPass through 2027. And you’ll get one $10 promo discount each calendar month which works on non-restaurant orders.
  • Freedom & Slate cardholders get a DashPass benefit and a quarterly discount benefit. Starting Febaruary 1, 2025, you’ll be able to enroll for six free months of DashPass. (Those who have not yet used the current/previous version of the DashPass benefit on Freedom and Slate cards have until January 31, 2025, to enroll in the current benefit – three months of free membership followed by nine months of discounted DashPass.) And you’ll get one $10 promo discount each quarter which works on non-restaurant orders. (To activate the promo discount benefit, you need to first activate the free DashPass benefit.)

So I'm reading Cap 1 can be harsh when it comes to recent cards. So I guess I'll see if they deny me, LOL.

Right now I have the CSP and CSR. I kept both last year when my renewal hit, knowing I'd be booking the trip to Ireland again (third times the charm, right?). So I booked that on the CSP. And I had stuff booked on the CSR too (cruise and Ireland try 2, both were cancelled, LOL). My AF will hit for both in Nov. I'm thinking w/ the $10 for the CSP a month (door dash), I'll keep that card. But I'm debating the CSR, if I get the Venture X. Do I need both? Right now I have the CIP and I'd have the CSP to transfer URs. I'd have PP w/ the Venture X. Sounds like the insurance might be the same on both cards (CSR and Venture X) plus I'd have the CSP still.

Is there a reason to keep the CSR? Right now I've yet to use a CSR lounge. And I think most allow at least 1 visit for PP members, right? I just don't know if there's a reason to keep the CSR if I get the Venture X.

Should I downgrade the CSR? I have the OG freedom and the flex (from downgrading my OG CSR). My OG freedom is my oldest card I think. If I wanted to, I can always upgrade my CSP right? I wouldn't be eligible for any new SUB till 2026, LOL.
I downgraded my CSR to the CSP after the first yr. I have kept the CSP because it offered the best trip protection benefits. Not sure if that is still the case with the recent changes, but that benefit is something to think about when deciding what to do. I am not familiar with Venture X, so not sure what protections it offers in comparison.
I hear there are targeted offers for 250k points SUB for AMEX Platinum Business Cards. I keep looking, but I guess I am not targeted, I also heard it was a referral offer. So does that mean someone can refer a link to me for the 250k SUB?
I recently had this offer in my AmEx app. I wish I could have taken it, but I didn't even consider it because of the high MSR. My organic spend is only about $2-$3K per month. No way I could stretch that to meet the MSR even with MS. Hope you can pull the offer!

I have been laying low with Chase CC's after getting the SW CP at the beginning of the year. I have had a green star offer in my Chase account that I am approved for a CI Preferred and a CI Premier since September. I would rather get a CIU with support from P3 to have the $6,000 MSR and 0% rather than a CIP. These are my Chase CC's.

CSP 4/27/2021
CSR 4/28/2021
CIC 3/14/2022
Aeroplan 9/30/2022
CIU 1/24/2023
CIC 8/3/2023
SW Performance Biz 11/15/2023
SW Premier Biz 1/22/2024

I am currently 1/24 until June 2025. If I close my CIU and one CIC and make sure that my CL's are below the 50%/$75K and apply for a CIU but am denied do you think I would loose out on the approved CIP offer in my account? Trying to decide if I should gamble on the CIU or go with the sure thing of the CIP. Thank you.

Costco has two $50 Uber Eats gift cards for $75 (usually $80). Comes out to about $72 for me with 2% back from Executive Membership and 2% from Citi. I've got two short trips in December (dd's graduation and taking DS to a Bears game which sounded really fun when I booked it this summer but the closer we get, the more I'm questioning my sanity as someone who spent four long winters in Chicago) so will be using Uber since I'm certainly not taking my mom on MARTA and my son will have a fit on CTA.

Can you not request a replacement Chase business card online? I can see the replace option for personal cards but not for business. I googled and found a link but when I logged in only the personal cards were listed.

so the best way I've found to do this because I'm able to use the certificate for it every year. The best way for us is to figure out the price for your route as far in advance as you can. the fare buckets tend to be higher prices than the cheaper fares, for example, FC to NYC might be 450 if you can find a deal but the fare might be 500-600$. I tend to use these going from Florida to the West Coast, I haven't tried Hawaii now even though its eligible it's a shame they aren't worth it for Canada.
I saw a blog about it and wanted to post that also here https://thriftytraveler.com/deals/flights/best-ways-to-use-delta-companion-certificate/

so there is a podcast I listen to on YouTube called lets get to the Points its great but has a really low sub count (I think it's 3-4k now) I subbed when it was under 1k. They were talking about Chase cracking down on these one of them had over 5 I can't remember the number.
Thank you for the Thrifty Traveler link. Just had a chance to check it out this AM and it was very helpful. I will check out the YouTube podcast also.

No idea if the green star offer would go away…but those are marketing offers and don’t guarantee approval….so I would apply for the CIU from the support link

Received my US Bank Altitude Connect Card Saturday. Immediately applied for global entry. Got conditionally approve Sunday night (not even 48 hours). We decided to go to the Bowling Green Customs House in NYC. They even had appointments for Black Friday so I don’t have to take the kids out of school. We’ll make a day of it in NYC. Kids have never seen it decked out for the holidays. We do dread taking Metro North since it will be busy that day.

Wanted to take advantage of Marriott offers on two of my AMEX cards. They were bothe for $X off of $X spent at Marriott. In order to prepay for a Swan reservation next February with a split payment I called up the customer service reservations at the Swan. They gladly split the charge for exactly what I needed on both cards. But on my app it's showing up as Swan Disney World and not Marriott. I know if I paid at the Swan itself it should trigger it but will it still trigger the offer the way I did it? So far it's been only a few days and no credits.

I've been seeing a lot of elevated Amex business checking account bonuses lately. P2 and I each opened one in December 2022. If we close them would we be eligible to open another for a bonus?

taking DS to a Bears game which sounded really fun when I booked it this summer
Funny story... Leaving a Brewers playoff game (note Brewers=baseball) a few years back, which we lost, fans are streaming out of the stadium, feeling a little dejected. Then someone started chanting "Bears still suck" and the whole crowd joined in. Cheered everyone right up. :rotfl2:

Have a great time at the Bears game! As you know, the cold is part of the excitement.

My Amex offers have been taking much longer than usual to credit. My Lowe’s offer took 2 weeks.
