Those that requested a bonus match for the CIP and was told yes to reply when spend is met, when you told them that you met the spend and requesting the points did they say will forward the request to another dept or just say they will give the points?

For DH's I was told they would forward it on. It took at entire week for them to get back with me, but they did add the points.

Another confirmation. Just did this last week for DH. Points were in his account yesterday. Took just about a week.

DisCCFriends - What cc am I signing up for next? College tuition will be due (once she decides on classes) in Dec, I'd imagine, for Jan classes. I'd like to be working on a SIB for that expense...

Welllll, not the DP I wanted to be. P2 was again denied for a SW Premier. So, my plans for 2 CPs are currently in jeopardy.
Last month he was denied based on too many Biz accounts, too little usage, and too much credit (even though we have same household income and same CC stats and I was auto approved).

So, I closed a Biz and a personal for him. Put spend on his remaining Biz (one CIC, one CIU, and the SW Perf). The SW Perf was from Jan 2024 and the CIC from May 2024. He's had no other cards since then. App'd yesterday (a month after closing the accounts).
Went to review and denied about 10 hours later. Reasons were too many recent requests for credit and insufficient biz income. Whomp whomp.

Looks like maybe give Chase a break? You should be getting lots of URS out of the CIPs.

Are you in Amex PUJ? Don't know how much tuition is for your daughter, there are some elevated Biz Plat offers out there (DH is currently working on 250K for $15K, for instance). That card also gets 1.5x on purchases of $5K+, so that might be good if the tuition payment is higher than $5K

:o
(shyly replies) ... I don't have any personal AMEX's! I actually personally only hold Chase cards. I get MR's from my corporate card (and I transfer those when I need them).

Sorry about the denial. :(

Sounds like a DP for only 2 biz open and cobrands count. Is the CIU older than a year and can be closed?

Anyone have a DP for a Chase biz approval with 3+ biz open from this month?

Could definitely be that, although that wasn't a reason they gave this time. My last app was 8/31 and I was auto approved with 3 biz open. But I know that wasn't within the last month.

DH and I were both approved with 3 open at the end of August. @Limes96 had a denial DP with 3 open at the beginning of this month. I was surprised at the time, but after that I started seeing more and more DPs of denials with 3 open.

Curious. If you book a Hyatt (with no status whatsover) with points, does that waive the resort fees? I had two rooms last month in NYC at the Centric, and a $30 per room per night fee, was all over everything, included the room key jacket, but we were not charged.

Got last minute Starlux flights for my mom that I previously transferred Amex -> Hawaiian -> Alaska. Biz on the outbound thanks to seats.aero. Alert sent out at 4 am PST, I saw it at 7, all gone by 9. No wonder it was rare to see just randomly searching. Have premium economy booked for the return, but hopefully I can get it changed to biz.

I'm excited for her. Should be nice!

Yes, no resort fees on award bookings with Hyatt. Same as Hilton. Not so with Marriott.

I am getting ready to apply for a SWA personal card for DH. I don’t recall him getting any new cards in the last 2 years so he should be 0/24 or if anything 1/24. Earlier this week, I removed him as an AU on my Amazon Visa and reduced his CL on one of his current Chase cards so he wasn’t so close to 50% of his income. Do I need to wait a certain amount of time before applying after doing all that for it to show on his credit report or is it something Chase will instantly see?

I want to support him from my SWA card, but he has a pre-approval offer for 85k RR points that he received in the mail. Will I be able to support him and he still gets the 85k RR points offer? I know on the website, it’s gone back down to 50k and his offer is good until 11/18/24.

Last thing.. once he gets the personal card, how long should I wait to apply for the SWA biz card? My issue is, we are starting on a full kitchen reno so I have a lot of spend coming up really soon. We are also planning a quick weekend WDW trip on 2/7 so I wanted to try to have CP by then. And of course we can’t meet the spend until after December so is this realistically possible or will I probably just need to buy 2 SWA tkts for our trip? My RR points are basically depleted at the moment and DH doesn’t have enough either so we will have to pay OOP.

Are you comfortable sharing what you put for business income? Just wondering since they included that as a reason. We haven't tried for any Inks since mid-August, but with a small biz income, like $3000-$3500, Dh has been approved before.

$6,000. Which has been fine before, but who knows?

You need to use the support link to get the support points. I think the offer has already gone down on that. I don't know if you used the support link and then asked to match to the pre-approval offer if that would work. I don't think I would chance it without data points, but that specific a DP is probably hard to come by.

If you do the personal first, you'll need to wait 30 days for the biz due to 1/30 rule. The personal may come with a high CL. I think lower total CL is even more important for biz cards. You'll want at most 2 open Chase biz cards for best odds.

I thought it might be an unusual situation. I know they had the public offer for 85k a couple weeks ago, but I wasn’t ready to apply yet and since the offer came in the mail, it gave me more time. It’s definitely more important to use his pre-approval offer for 85k since the main goal is getting CP for 25-26. I’m not even sure how many RR points the support link gives me, but I figure anything is better than nothing if it worked doing them both.

When I got my personal, it came with a $21k credit line, which was shocking because when I applied for the same card 3 months earlier, I got denied and nothing in my life had changed during that time. Neither one of us have any biz cards now. When I login to his Chase account, they show him already approved for several biz cards (except the SWA one), but I knew we wanted SWA biz so I haven’t gotten any of them, but that has me thinking he shouldn’t have any issue getting the SWA biz. I mostly refrain from biz cards since we aren’t actually biz owners from a tax standpoint. I sell some on eBay until I reach $600 a year, and DH does a little upholstery on the side so it’s not much income.

Sorry about the denial. :(

I had 4 Chase Biz open in September and was instantly approved for a CIU. Open were CIC, CIU, IHG, and Marriott. Now I have 5 Biz open with the approval for the CIU. My credit is also sky high with Chase and I haven't gotten around to adjusting it. I probably need to do that.

Has anyone had the 250k for Amex Biz Platinum show up for you with your referral links yet? I have been in analysis paralysis over what card to open and finally settled on Amex Biz Plat for P2. Id like to refer him but my links are still showing 150k, and I need him to apply in the next couple days. I am able to locate the 250k by browsing with my VPN
Edit to add this is new round of 250k offers being reported.
