When you refer using a CIU, about how long has it taken for the bonus to show up in the account? It has been about a month, I have yet to receive any communications that I referred someone or pending points

It usually goes pending in 1-3 weeks on a Tuesday evening. But I have one over a month that hasn't shown up yet, along with others here. Waiting for 8 weeks to contact Chase.

A couple people here ended up seeing the support points on the card they applied for instead of the card they supported from. Which is super weird!

Hotel recommendations for New Orleans, please. Not renting a car, so walkable or within 30 min ride share for most attractions. Thanks!

Westin New Orleans is right on the river, great views. On the edge of the Quarter, walk to most things. You can take a street car thru the Garden District and visit the zoo or Tulane University or just look at all the big beautiful homes. We also took the streetcar to the World War 2 museum. Walked to pretty much everything else except swamp tour and we just found one that had a French Quarter pickup.

Showing my ignorance where do you see GE on your airline/boarding pass? I traveled to Canada last year and just used the GE lines and no one stopped me but don’t know if it was on my pass. I guess it was.
I’ve never seen it on a boarding pass that I can recall. You do need to give it to the airline when you make the reservation (or sometime after). My KTN is saved in all my airline loyalty accounts. Last time we did GE we just walked up to the kiosk, it scanned our face, and we were done. No one was checking boarding passes to get in the GE line.

My sister is not a churner (yet), but she opened a CIP in February 2024 and with my encouragement just applied for another CIP last week and was approved the next day. It’s showing in her online account. Today she got a voicemail from Chase fraud department about her new account. She hasn’t called back yet. Anyone else get a call from the fraud department after approval? I’ve opened many chase inks and never gotten a call.

I still have not received support points for a CIU app from June 30. This was P2 supporting me so I guess I better keep an eye on my account as well. The SUB posted and has been in my account for a couple weeks now. And it’s now been 8 weeks so I guess it’s time to SM.
DH just got his 40k support points from my June 22nd approval. I sent Chase a secure message last week, and finally today they replied, and the points are in his account.

This on top of the random 40k points that posted to my account after my own approval. Not sure what happened, but not complaining either 🤫

Thank you. A little pricey for my dates compared to other hotels I am seeing online. But I will consider it.

I just booked this Westin a few days ago for mid-October to use a couple FNC that expire end of October. Hoping it’s good! Would like to hear some good music and eat some good food (gluten free beignets and bananas foster at Brennan’s).

Good to know. It is just a little over what we would want to spend. It looks really nice though.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown (French Quarter Area)

ETA: I just looked again: The Westin is a lot over what I want to spend for the dates I am planning.

PS- Days later I would be rappeling down canyon waterfalls with this bad arm. At one section of rappeling, then being rappeled/ziplined down a cord, the guy tells me to do a pull up so he can disconnect me from the zipline. Um, I couldn't do a pull up on a good day. Ever. Not gonna happen. Much less with only one good arm. Canyoneering excursion with a healthy dose of humility. 🤣 Oh how it brought back the Presidential Fitness testing from grade school. :rotfl2:Was Pres. Reagan a sadist 🤣? Was he really so hell bent on me climbing that rope and trying to vault like a gymnast? If only I'd have know that inability to do pullups in the 5th grade was gonna come back to haunt me as an adult, I woulda tried harder for Reagan. :confused3
Your humility story got me :rotfl2: in Fiji I decided I had to to try basically everything while there (cue the song from zootopia) and one group sunrise kayak trip later, I had verified that yes, I can do this, and for some reason I was paddling like everyone else, but moving like the worlds slowest turtle across that ocean no matter what I tried..... I felt bad b/c the guide had to hang back with my slow pace so the crazy lady from the US wouldn't drown on his watch.... very healthy dose of humble pie:rotfl:

I am super excited for our trip in March. Booked 5/6 travel party round-trip to Florida with points and then purchased the points on a discount for the 6th person and all hotels booked with points. So far had to pay for the 6th person points and the taxes and fees which was about $67 for everyone. Not too bad. Food will be a big cost, but hopefully will find some discounted gift cards and buying food at the store vs restaurants will help. One of them is a Hilton and using my surpass credit for the parking and another hotel has free parking so looking good with that. My Venture X credit will renew in February, so not sure if I should wait to book a rental with that or not

Does anyone have 2 CIPs, with getting one recently like the last 4 months? Want to jump on the elevated CIP but will have to be DH and he has a CIP that is 8 months old so can’t cancel it yet.
wondering the same thing...can I hold 2 CiP's?

wondering the same thing...can I hold 2 CiP's?

I opened one (CIP) in April 2024 for 100,000 it's still open and I was just approved for a second this week. I used my sister's referral link for 100,000, but SM'd to match to the 120,000 offer and they said they would once I contact them when I meet the MSR.
As I mentioned in a previous post though, my sister opened one in February 2024 and just was approved for a new one last week, but she received a call from chase fraud department yesterday regarding her new CIP. She has not called back yet, so not sure what that's all about.

Those are luxury condos. At least 3 bedrooms. The master is a king with en suite. Look here https://www.realtor.com/internation...io-manuel-antonio-puntarenas-120069177778////

ETA When we stayed they opened all 3 bedrooms even though we had only 3 people . They said it was because we booked through Hyatt so YMMV. Maybe if you book through Chase/The Edit instead of direct or local, they give perks. But you can call or email them. Info@losaltoresort.com

I would just give them a call. Honestly when we were there last year they were so helpful, and actually suggested in the future I call ahead to let them know who would be staying in the room. They provide complementary drinks and snacks for each person upon arrival. Anyway, just call and ask about any additional charges for the bedrooms. They very graciously gave us a 3rd bedroom for no additional charge. Would have been another $150/night. I would not hesitate to call with any questions.

I emailed Los Altos and they confirmed we'll have three bedrooms. Yea!!

So on our trip....it happened both ways you describe- in EWR- we went thru the GE/precheck line, then agent told us our bp's didnt have the GE number attached (after we went thru) -
At SFO, coming home was when the GE saved us, no BP needed- the entry to US line was INSANE. We used the facial recognition machines,no line,no problem,no boarding pass needed to get in. (the crowd was at least 1000 deep in regular lines)
Then next day flying SFO-EWR again, no ge/precheck line for us b/c it wasn't attached to boarding pass.... they said we had to go back to checkin counter and get that done (we'd already done all this online, and called) so we just did regular line that morning.
:magnify: I'll say this, I still don't quite understand how it's supposed to work...... This was Alaska air btw :rolleyes1

Global Entry comes with TSA Precheck and you use the same number, but they are separate things. TSA Pre is what you use when going through security at airports in the US. You'll see TSA Pre printed somewhere on your boarding pass if it's attached correctly.

Global Entry is what you use when going through border control coming back into the US. I don't know if you need to attach the GE number in order to use this. From your example, it sounds like it doesn't since from start to finish, your number was not attached, yet you were able to go through the GE line.

Waiting for the CIP expedited card to arrive today and worrying that they didn't actually expedite it, Amex sends emails and texts every step of the card journey, Ive gotten nothing from Chase. I shouldn't have waited so long apply.
