With all this talk about miles transfer if you have some amex MR....transfer to hawaiian then transfer
to Alaska? or just transfer to hawaiian? thanks

I transferred to Hawaiian then Alaska, which is what most people are doing because Alaska miles are more valuable with more partners. You should have some ideas on where you might use them if you're looking to do this though.

I’ve booked hotel short hotel stays through the Chase portal and never had an issue. Thanks for the heads up on the offer — I’ll definitely make use of it since I LOVE URs!
Do you get hotel reward program benefits when booking through Chase portal?

LAX

I see on amex where to transfer to hawaiian but when i opened hawaiian air miles acct where do you
transfer to Alaska air? thanks

I am wondering if anyone has any insight or experience with this….
Long story short, our Disney Chase Visa was compromised, a lot! Like a lot a lot!!! We were heading to wdw (still here) so I had my husband transfer the rewards to the rewards card before we left. As we are using the card I realized we had a lot more reward dollars than we should. It was from the fraudulent charges.
Will Disney claw the rewards back once their “investigation” is done?

My SW companion pass plan has failed and I need to readjust quickly. I have CP through the end of 24 but planned on getting DW the CP before the end of the year so that we have a CP in place when fly back from Hawaii on 1/4/25.

She got the personal SW card and earned the bonus in August, so the plan was to get her a business card and meet the bonus before the end of the year so we would be set, but she was declined for too many cards and too little revenue. I knew I was going a little quicker than the normal 3 months in between cards but thought it would be ok. Seems like they are cracking down on business cards lately.

So, I think the only way to earn the CP is through spend on the card, as we’re not going to pay for flights. Our normal spend isn’t going to get us there, so I need to be creative. I’m thinking the best bet is to prepay some bills where I can. I’m thinking property taxes and home insurance will have the biggest impact, but might see about our electric or phone bill and see if I can get ahead on that as well. Then I may buy a boatload of gift cards to the grocery store or other frequent retailers.

Any other ideas? Not ideal, but the Hawaii flight is about $900, so it’s meaningful and we’ll use the CP some throughout the year.

Maybe purchase things through the SW shopping portal. IIRC, that gives you additional bonus pts on top the 1 per $1. Could you go ahead and book some of your flights for next year? You could always change them later if you need to. Can you prepay any of your Hawaii trip expenses now? I've read reports that people have called and prepaid their hotel. Maybe you could do that with any tours, rental car etc. You could purchase EBCI for all of your party. Do any of your vehicles need routine maintenance or tires etc? Or does your home need any updates such as appliances or flooring (something you were going to buy in the near future anyway). Is there a close family member you could add as an authorized user so they could put their spend on the card? They could put their household expenses on their card.

I would make sure I wasn't making purchases I otherwise wouldn't make, because that could quickly negate the savings. Good luck!

ETA: I feel your pain on CP plans going wrong. I was helping a family member last year so that we could both earn the CP. I made a costly error thinking the SUB was higher than it was. He missed out because he hit the SUB in Dec 2023 instead of Jan 2024. I was only 2 days away from missing out myself and that was literally sheer luck.

How many Chase business cards does she have open? If it's more than 3, that could be the real denial reason.

I expect they'll claw them back and you'll have a negative rewards balance. I had a fraudulent charge on a different Chase card last year and they clawed back the points earned on that purchase.

And if there is little to nothing left on the rewards card?🙄 (I might have noticed too late) Also, we canceled the Disney Visa because this is not the first time we have been compromised and this time the charges were almost double our credit limit! Why even give us a limit?

Good thoughts. Agree we don’t want to spend any money just for the sake of spending.

4 business cards open. 2 that we use regularly and don’t want to close and 2 CIPs that have not yet been open a year.

I reduced credit limits to $1000, but suspect you may be right.

If you're willing to close one of the ones older than a year, you can try again in 30 days. Lowering total Chase credit lines across personal and business can help. It's usually the personal CL that gets high.

If it's a CIC/CIU that you don't want to give up, you can eventually product change the CIP.

When you say Chase business cards, you must mean UR earning cards, right? I was approved instantly for my new CIU with a CIC and a CIU open. I had just closed an older CIU.

But I also have a Chase Marriott Bonvoy Biz and a Chase IHG Biz.

Is there any way to transfer my UR points off my CIP to DH's Hyatt account? It's not letting me do it online.

I'm not sure what will happen now since you closed the account. If it was me, I'd call them and ask what to do because I value my relationship with Chase and wouldn't want to risk getting locked out of future cards. If you haven't already done so, you should set up spending alerts on your credit cards so you'll know immediately when a charge is made. Fraud stinks, but it's best to notice it right away.

I suspect it's all Chase business cards including cobrands. There was a recent DP here of a denial at 3 Inks and a cobrand. I've seen others too. But it's hard to tell for sure because some are able to be approved at 4 open, or even more.
