Ok.... I'm trying to amend yet another mistake (life ) So I had frozen (i'm pretty sure) p2's acct on all 3 bureaus... but I foolishly used an old phone # for verification that no longer exists, and "we" can't get back into accts to unfreeze- is there a way around this? If there's not I guess it's frozen forever....(I can't get p2 to call in) wwyd?

Won't player 2 eventually have to call in anyway? Not sure anybody can go through life with their accounts permanently frozen? What if they decide to buy a new car, finance a home improvement loan, etc?

I've scheduled several estimates and closed one appointment with Renewal by Andersen. I think they are way over what I want to budget for this particular house, based on 'reading on the internet' and y'all know how that goes. Also seems delivery and installation can take a while and my timeline is 30-40 days.

Right now I've got Home Depot and Lowes coming Monday and Tuesday.

I need to contact a relative who may get me a 'no guarantees' cash only offer.

And there are a trillion other options in this area.

Just got a CIU first week of September, so probably won't do another card but jury is still out on that.

Anyone who wants to chime in on issues, problems or successes would be appreciated. Just refinished 2 bedrooms of old hardwood and they look great. Painted 'almost' the entire inside of the house. Almost means I want to change a wall of color to something I may like better, and another wall needs a second coat, plus I'm seeing some touch ups I'd like to see happen very soon.

Ripped out the last carpet in the whole house off the stairs a few weeks ago, but haven't decided how to proceed. Probably just refinish and put some clear edge threads on them.

Very interested in these comments. Our house is 22 years old and falling apart. Did the furnace last week, which met 2 MSR's. But all of our windows are rotted out. So I am very curious to hear any answers.

My mom bought her windows at Home Depot. She had 2 issues one where the window wasn’t installed right and they fixed it. Another where the window developed a glittery look to it at certain times of day. I told her the glittery thing can be normal with her type of window. Home Depot was really good about it and offered her money or a replacement of that window.

I thought the Biz Gold 25% rebate ended earlier this year - unless there was some transitional period for existing cardholders I don't know about.

I didn't realize that! So it would be 100K MRs vs 100K Alaska miles then.

Is the Biz Plat 35% rebate eliminated also? I have an upgrade offer right now that I'm debating if I should take. If the 35% rebate is still around, then I'll probably take the upgrade.

The 35% is still around and even though I recently transferred 300K MRs to Hawaiian, then Alaska, I'm going to book a flight to Vancouver via the Amex portal because it'll save me 10K points per person vs booking with Alaska thanks to the 35% rebate. I called and changed my selected airline to Alaska to be able to get the rebate on economy seats

I know I saw a Stanley one somewhere a few days ago but can't find it. It would also be helpful to check before I buy something through a shopping portal to know what card to pay with to stack offers. I don't need it be specific to my card but at least point me in the direction of which card to check to see if I received the offer.

I've used this one for Amex Offers. Link It's searchable, but not that updated. I see a Stanley one, but looks like it just expired.

I have a skymiles flight booked on Delta. If I should need to cancel, I will get the points back. What if I upgrade to "Comfort" using cash? Will the flight still be refundable should I need to cancel?
I don't plan to cancel - but you never know.

YMMV, but... I was successful in getting a Delta upgrade fee refunded to original form of payment by asking nicely. It would usually be issued as a travel credit just like original fare.

Yes. No, I received the upgrade amt refunded to my cc. I had booked with pts in economy and paid for an upgrade. The pts were redeposited and the upgrade fee refunded to my credit card. Again, this is not standard policy. When he mentioned the travel credit, I nicely asked if there was any way it could be refunded. He put me on hold and came back and said he had been authorized to issue the refund.

I currently have 2 Triple Cash cards, and I’ve also had a Leverage card. So yes, you can definitely have multiple, and multiple of the same card.

so I fly delta probably 12 times a year, and you will 100% get the points back I've tried upgrading to FC via cash I don't think that's refundable, but it says so in the fine print. I can tell you though if you do it with miles you can get it back. I also know I have bought fc and got downgraded they have given me a generous amount of points back it only happened once. But if you do it with cash I think you are SOL.

I’m not worried about getting the upgrade fee back; I’ll take that in a travel credit. I want to make sure I will get the points back if I cancel after upgrading.
