Wooo, I finally had a Kohl's offer. I think mine sells GCs. Can I use it on that? I just bought a bunch from Kohls last week it would have been nice to have the offer then, LOL.

So I loaded the Kindle offer onto my freedom card. I made that card active in my Amazon acct. But Kindle is "one-click" check out. And if you have a giftcard loaded in your acct (my son did) then it pulls from that. Needless to say, I was NOT happy. I called and Amazon was like we can refund you, but if you buy it again, it'll just pull from the giftcard again. GRRR!

So that said, is there a way for kids to have their own accts under mine? This time of year, I normally change the password to lock them out of our amazon acct so they don't see what I'm buying. The BF and I have discussed sharing an Amazon acct, but he's worried about the same thing, I'll see gifts he buys me, LOL. For the $3478473 Prime is now, there has to be a way to do this!

My ODD has an amazon account that is linked under ours and its a "teen" account (at least I think that's the way they worded it) and it basically requires us to approve anything she wants to order. You can then use funds out of the family account or set-up their own payment. I did all of this through the app so I would just start poking around in there, I don't remember how I exactly did it but I remember it being pretty painless.

I forgot to add, we're still trying to sell off my dad's stuff. My mom has been having better luck listing on FB, even though we live a mile apart, LOL. She listed the $$$$ china cabinet my dad had from my grandparents. She had someone interested and wanted to pay Zelle. My mom was leary. I told her to give the woman my cell phone number as that is what is linked to my Chase Zelle. She was adamant she needed my email address because she has a business zelle and it only allows you to send money to emails. My email is tied to the zelle on my discover acct which I didn't want to deal with. But I said fine, give her that. So she did. My mom told me she had sent the payment. I go look and there is a fake AF email from "zelle" saying I had to click a link, and create a business acct myself, etc, etc. I'll give my mom credit, she felt it was a scam from the start. Of course I didn't click on anything. People suck!

There's a way to share prime within a household. My mom is linked to me but the only stuff of hers I see is kindle books. For some reason it connects that which given how many library books she gets for her kindle is uber annoying. It does also share payment methods so I could pick her card or vice versa. But my orders are just my stuff. Also not notified of her stuff just my own. So as far as I know it's just those 2 things that share, at least that I've seen.

I guess I need to dive into how to give them their own accounts. I feel like i looked into it when they were younger and both had a kindle fire.

I need some trip ideas for a family trip. I have a significant amount of amex points, so I want to take a family trip internationally. Unfortunately, one of my girls is tied to a school schedule, so probably have to be in the summer. There will be 6 adults (2 in our 50s, 2 in their 30s, 2 in their 20s) and 1 child (about 1 or 2 yo depending on when we take the trip). I'd love to go to Italy, but the summer sounds really horrible there. I'm thinking northern Europe, maybe Scandinavia. I'm not looking for luxury, so coach seats and middle of the road hotels are fine. I love museums, different cultures, good food, beautiful outdoors. I'm pretty open to suggestions. Any ideas?

Have you asked any of the people in the travel party where they'd like to go? I'd start there because what you describe can be done in any country in Europe.

You are absolutely right. Everyone would like Italy or something Mediterranean, but I'm worried about doing that in the summer with the heat and tourists. I'm looking for pleasant weather in the summer in a country not overrun with tourists (I don't mind crowds, but I don't want Venice in July crowds. )

I got it on CIC, CSP and Disney personal on DD's AU card. I'll be getting some Amazon GC again.

I almost can't keep up with Chase offers. I've still got 6 OD, 3 ShopDisney to buy Disney Gift cards with.
I think I have missed something important about Chase cards--are you saying that your DD has a separate account for her AU card? I thought only AmEx did that.

I was wondering the same thing. My Chase personal AU cards have the same card number as the primary card. I assumed that meant only one set of offers per account and didn't bother setting up log-ins for the AU cards.

Re: Chase SW support points posting:

12/8 a support link successfully used
12/14 my statement closes and I can finish spend, etc

Will the support points post with the 12/14 statement? I'm hoping not that quickly, as I might change strategies and try to get one more support (maybe DD), which should get me at CP.
I'd say it's unlikely to post that fast. Typically points go pending 2-4 weeks after the approval. I also haven't heard anything different, so check after Tuesday nights ET. That's when they have been batch processing support points. Occasionally they're delayed and you'll see it go pending on Wed or Thurs, but in general that's when I check.

It'd be rare for points to go pending/post less than a week after approval so I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll be included in your 2023 balance. 🤞

Sorry, I think I phrased that badly. DD is a 30yo adult and has her own Chase Disney account, which I talked her into so that I could support, spend for the SUB and get all the points! She's very kind to me! So I've monitored the offers, paid all the bills, etc. She's not into what we do here, but doesn't mind helping me a little bit.

Last month before my Disney trip, I found the bonus 10% off gas on her card - Oct through end of December. I had her order me an AU card so I could reap the 10% in gas on my road trip to Disney. Meanwhile she could use her own card for the 10% as well while I was gone. Her account is about 5 years old so no biggie.

Then later, my own cards showed the bonus so I was supper blessed.

Meanwhile, her Disney card also got the Kohl's offer. My (2) Disney cards got nada. Neither seems to pull the best offers. Bonus spend, yes, but not on a separate account like Amex.

Yes I was surprised both LIR and SJO have PP lounges. We'll be flying home from SJO so it might be an option. We fly out of MDW though and it's sadly lounge free.
what other place are you going to? I want to say its 6 hours away.

Got it. I have a few cards like that with my (adult) kids.

Yes, it's nice when the little responsibilities/liabilities grow up to be assets! We are very close and I'm even still on her bank accounts. very easy to pay her parts of the bills also.

I use offers I find that can be used for her. Such as Amex 10% up to $30 on cellphone bills. It works on equipment as well and she just got a new phone. I've been able to get her $60 off with her original AU card from when she was a kid and my product changed Brilliant. I'll also pay her cable bill with the $15 off offer.

Then I'll take what's owed after the offers from her account and do bill pay on the credit cards. She will have saved a total of $75.

Has anyone transferred amex points to Etihad and booked an AA flight through them? How did it go? I hate calling.

Oh this is sad news! I fly out of BWI at least 2 or 3 times a year on SWA back home to HOU, and IAH twice this year to go to Germany and to England. I have used the restaurant credit at least 4 times with a guest since having the card, twice at IAH, once at BWI, and at IAD. So I am definitely going to miss that benefit. I got approved for the card in December. The membership fee posting date is December 21 so it will be on my next statement. I still like to have access to the lounges and this is the only card I have that has lounge access. I can get a CSR card in July 2023 so I think I’ll hold onto the Venture x for now. I have another trip planned to Germany in April (grandson #2 is due) so the lounge access will be nice.
Ugh, I had no idea BWI had added a restaurant in the SW area. That is our home airport. I haven’t even thought to check for new opportunities.
