So anyone have this happen? I was trying to do the Wells Fargo bank bonus. It's for $325 (I think). I opened online, all seemed good. But everytime I went to create my online account I got errors. Today I got an email saying they couldn't open my account. If I wanted to open it I had to go to a branch (there are none in MI). Reading on DOC it seems normally people are rejected when they put in their zip codes. Not after it says you're account is approved. ***. I wonder if it's even worth calling on.

I wanted to get this bank bonus knocked out and then once I get the insurance check from my dad, I was planning on doing the huntington bonus for $1k. I guess it's back to the drawing board looking for another bonus.

Anyone?
We were also planning on booking a 6-person cruise soon, and that's going to be an ENORMOUS difference if the 1.25 on travel bonus is gone.
ETA: card benefits still shows 1.25, but when I go to actually book it's NOT giving me 1.25
I don’t have either of those cards…have the CSR and it’s giving me 1.5 on hotels and car rentals when I looked just now

Guys... my DH is just wild, lol. After getting SO upset when we had to cancel Yellowstone this year (after the flooding), he insisted we rebook as soon as possible. That was slated to be May 2023. Now he's on a totally different path... We're looking at getting a small camper next year, now that DH is getting his truck, and he wants to travel around with our dogs to the national parks/state parks as much as we can. He's tired of leaving our dogs everytime we travel, worries that something may happen while we're gone, and wants the most time with them left that we can have. The dogs are 2 and 6, so still young, but he wants to be able to hike and take them everywhere and for them to be able to enjoy/keep up and have the energy still. He also wants us to have the energy for it! I don't disagree, but you can see where I'm going with this....
After so much planning of Yellowstone (for the second time!), all parts have been cancelled. We're re-focusing on doing our 2 international trips next year instead - Japan (in May) and Europe (in Nov/Dec). Those will be the last longish trips we take for awhile, as we're planning for 2024 and beyond to be mostly park trips or beach trips that we can take the dogs. We may add in Costa Rica at some point in 2024 too (since we'll have the URs for that), but we'll see. We figure it'll take at least 2-3, maybe 4 years to get to all the US national parks on our list (Yellowstone, Tetons, Olympic, Mt Rainier, Glacier, Yosemite, Sequoia, Lassen Volcanic, Crater Lake, Capital Reef, Arches, back to Zion again, etc.).
SO, Japan has been booked, LOL. This week has just been nuts with cancelling and booking everything so "last minute" (5 months out is what I consider last minute in this case). Japan flights and hotels have all been secured. What else do I need to be looking at this far out? I know Disney tickets I can't get until about 2 months out... what about JR Rail pass? Is that a certain time frame?

Our dog is 11 and having her (with some health issues that aren't life threatening, but make her care or boarding a little more complicated) at home also makes us uncomfortable (and if I'm being frank, expensive). We'd LOVE to do RV/Camping extended trips, especially now that we're semi-retired, but her issues would make it nearly impossible to travel with her.

Via flying/driving trips, we've hit Yosemite, Yellowstone/Tetons (many times), Glacier, Smokies, and various National Seashores, but there are so many more to visit.

Keep in mind that dogs in National Parks can be tricky. Most (all?) do not allow dogs on trails, so you've have to be comfortable leaving them if you want to do some of the epic hiking the Nat'l Parks offer.

Re: Chase SW support points posting:

12/8 a support link successfully used
12/14 my statement closes and I can finish spend, etc

Will the support points post with the 12/14 statement? I'm hoping not that quickly, as I might change strategies and try to get one more support (maybe DD), which should get me at CP.

Yeah, National Parks not allowing dogs is why we'd have to do National/State Park trips. We'd be comfortable leaving them for some hours in the camper to go do hikes in the National Parks (with all appropriate measures of course, sensors for temperature, etc), as long as we were camping not too far away. I know when we went to Zion, the campground had many dogs, and the trail closest to the campground which was a paved trail did allow dogs, so at least that's nice that you have somewhere to walk your dogs every day. Most State Parks I've seen allow dogs, so we'd try to go back and forth between the two and make the best of it. We're just realizing we're at a place in life where we want to travel with our dogs and have the best time with them while we can, making epic memories.

Try checking again through your CSP- you should be getting 1.25. Clear your cache and try different browsers as well. I just did a dummy booking through CSP and I am successfully seeing the 1.25.

This has been my experience with SW support points:

Late 2021 - P2 approval 11/16, points posted to P1's 12/3 statement
Early 2022 - P1 approval 2/28, points posted to P2's 3/18 statement

I can't see when the points went pending because it was so long ago. I would think since your statement closes so soon, that the support points won't show up until your next statement 🤞I hope you'll share what ends up happening.

That said, I'm still waiting (it's been over 6 weeks) for the support for an Ink card to post on P2's account. I finally sent a SM today to inquire about that.

So it looks like it might just be a banner issue.
It's showing 1:1 on both the app on my phone and in chrome on my laptop in the banner, BUT if I try to actually book something, the correct 1.25 value shows up. The chase website and app have both been extremely buggy for me in the past couple of weeks (the recent app update helped some)

That honestly sounds like your PO in particular has a virus going around that suddenly knocked a bunch of people out.
My mail carrier didn't show up until 9pm one night and he says it was because of people being out and them not having enough coverage. All our local POs are short staffed, so they don't have enough floaters to call in if they're down too many folks. Fingers crossed that it is something going around, because then your level of service should go back up when people get better.
Yeah there is something seriously wrong at the post office. But to leave packages lost in limbo for over 8 days? I don't think I will ever get it, so if Staples wont' resend, I am out the money. And my dogs meds, he needs those for his seizures, and now I fear I will be out the money for those, and I have to reorder and hope to heck those make it. They have stopped answering the phone too.
AND my AP magnet is supposed to come today, you do NOT get between and woman and her passholder magnets LOL.

Had it on both my biz, if only we could still use offers on all the cards we had it on.
I think you fly Alaska Airlines? I see an offer for 10% back up to $45 in multiple purchases on my CSR. Hope it helps someone!

Have all my flights for next year already. Also generally only use miles for AS. I'll also use my AS card when paying for taxes or a flight, it's pretty much the only multiplier and worth it over using the csr.

Since you're doing a large redemption, have you thought about upgrading to the CSR to get 1.5? You can do that if you've had the CSP for at least a year or you can upgrade another Freedom.

Besides the better redemption, you can also recoup the AF by using the $300 travel credit twice on 1 AF.

it's definitely worth considering! DH will get overwhelmed by all of the details, but for the difference in points, we would be talking about 72k points less to cover the cruise (assuming the UR portal price is the same as on the carnival website) which would cover a lot of the airfare. AND I think DH might be pre-approved for the csr, and then we could just get rid of my csp altogether and if there's a decent offer for a msr we could rope that into it as well. Hmmm. that's a lot to think about!

The CSR bonus is at 70k. You might be able to find a support link or offer in your account that's still at 80k.

The Chase price should be the same as direct. I will mention though that you can probably find a TA for at least 10% off or as OBC (I always get quotes at Cruise Compete). Plus you can buy discounted Carnival GC or there might be Amex Offers. Depends how much you want to use up the points and if you might have other uses for them. Not paying cash is certainly appealing!

we had booked a cruise (which we ended up cancelling) for spring of 2022 back in the middle of 2021, and the price through chase was quite a bit less than what carnival was quoting us on their website. By at least several hundred dollars. Good call on the support link as well! I could use my csp for dh to get the csr.

and I just talked and mathed him through the whole thing and I think he might be sold on the idea. we'll see though since he was in the middle of work. LOL!

Unfortunately, the CSP doesn't cross support to the CSR like the Inks or SW or United cards.
