I can’t remember if it was here or in another group that someone was asking for ideas on where you can checkout and auto drain the last little bits on visa and MC GCs. In case it was here, I discovered today that the Home Depot self checkout will auto drain those GCs. Got rid of 3 piddly ones today that I’ve been carrying around for awhile now!

It's not even that, it's the fact that they sold all the tickets during pre-sale, which they should not have done. And their efforts to sell "only to verified buyers" was a crock, since the resale market instantly went crazy.

I don't believe they want to control the resale market since they also offer that service. There's no incentive for them to limit or get rid of bots.

There's also such a mountain that a potential competitor would have to climb that it won't happen until venues and artists come together and say no. Plus I'm sure each venue has a contract with them with the fees they pay.and the % the venue gets back. But it's ridiculous that they have been allowed a monopoly for so long.

I feel bad for all who didn’t get tickets but if they basically sold out, what can be done?
It's more the fact (at least for me) that they tried to say "we limited stuff w/ the pre-sale codes" and "sold limited amounts during the C1 sales" and *somehow* we sold out. Like there are a finite number of seats, this should not have been a surprise when there were supposedly going to be tix held back for general sale. That's my rant at least.

yup ,my thoughts exactly.
I wasn't even interested tickets, but I believe this is just garbage. Nice job Ticketmaster

Exactly. I have no skin in this game but basically allowing all tickets to be sold during pre-sale and allowing people multiple tickets (some limit should be set, no idea if it was) that can immediately be resold is crap. Honestly when we saw a soccer game in London, we found that many of the clubs there have made tickets from Ticketmaster, Seat Geek, etc illegal and they are only sold through the club. Obviously it doesn't stop all of them, including season ticket holders but I bet it limits a lot of this stuff.

I booked a room yesterday for 1 night in May at the MCO Hyatt because I had a Chase offer for 15% off. I’m looking at my chase account now and the charge is not showing up or pending at all. Is this normal? I already had a UR points reservation booked, which I canceled because this deal was going to save me an additional $50, but if the charge isn’t going to post to my account before the chase offer expires, then I might as well go back and book it for points! 😠

Another way to drain the last little bits is to add them to your toll account if you pay tolls (E-Z Pass in the northeast or whatever toll system your state uses.)

Hyatt won't charge you until the stay. If you can find a prepay rate on their site it may charge now.

You don't need to activate the benefit. At least I don't remember doing that.

If you plan on paying your entire bill with the Amex Plat, you just need to go into the store and use the kiosk no need to buy gift cards.
I usually buy a $25 gift card (you must be logged into your Verizon account) when it arrives I use it online.
We always have an MSR so I only buy a $25 GC then put the rest of the bill on the new card (by buying Verizon gift cards). Our bill is $180 so I'll buy $175 in GCs then let the other $5 get paid from our checking account.
Next month I plan to buy $25 GC with Plat Credit, then $150 in GCs with DD's gold card since she has a wireless offer.
When you pay with gift cards do you still get the discount for autopay from your checking account as long as you leave a balance for autopay?
