We only had the flash deals on two of our cards. One of p2s ink cards and his debit card on his new chase checking account. Neither of these are used for anything but deals. But we have many other Chase cards that are barely used either.

The WA/Conrad $100 off $500 offer is now showing on the generic Amex offers page (google American Express Shopping Network). I was finally able to add it to my Aspire; it's been available on every other Amex card I have for the past few weeks, and I've been checking the generic offers site off & on since I first saw it. Not that I have any plans to go to one by year end, but if I do I want it on my Aspire.

I just sent an SM to close a CIC that was opened in 2019. Then I sent another SM to lower the credit limits on 2 SW personal cards (that I got via a double dip in Nov 2021) they each had $16,600 and I asked for them to be lowered to $2k each.
THEN about an hour later, I got a phone call from chase! I didn’t recognize the number so didn’t answer, but they left a message saying they were calling regarding an SM I sent and they’ll try again or I can call back the number on the back of my card.
Should I be worried?

They do that when I cancel a card. I just ignore them and they close it the next day.

For those with the Away carry on suitcases, does anyone have the Bigger Carry-on? Any issue using it on international carriers? The website says it can be used on AirFrance, but not according to AF size guidelines.

Just back from a week at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, so I'm quite a bit behind here but I skimmed a bit. I wanted to add my DP that it's still a great place for a truly relaxing vacation (we stayed there many times in the 90s but hadn't been back since '98). DH earned another year of Globalist during our "free" stay on points, too. We had a standard room booked and were upgraded to an amazing ocean front view one with access to the concierge lounge (and a big welcome amenity) thanks to DH being a Globalist this year. DH and I also earned Silver on United during this trip, and DD got to Gold.

This trip was planned for xmas 2021 and was canceled and rebooked 4 times, so I was just thrilled we finally got to go on this one.

If anyone has thoughts on the United credit cards that they would like to share I would be very grateful. We seem to be flying with them a lot these days.

Got my biz flight to Tokyo on JAL using AA today! Now to wqit for barclays to post my miles and the return to open up. I'll book DL if I don't have the AA yet and then see if it's open when I do get the miles.

I just have to say that I'm so happy you were able to rebook this (yet again) and I really hope you finally get to go on this trip.

I wanted to share. The travel ins I bought for my 2021 trip had let me move that policy to this year. They couldn't move it to next year but said if I bought a policy for next year they would refund the old one. I thought this was great and totally not necessary. It's the same place @calypso726 used when they had to leave Japan early due to the typhoon. Knowing how they handled that made me comfortable using them vs just picking one. The refund and having been able to change the 1st one make me way more likely to use them again.

Which company did you use? Allianz was great about refunding us 100% for our canceled 2020 trip, but I've been booking with other companies lately because they aren't offering what I want now (I guess they changed some of their terms).

I just got home from my thrice cancelled trip to Dubai and the Maldives. So much ground covered so I will start by saying that I am now the proud owner of 3 pairs of pajamas from airlines (1 pair from Etihad and 2 from Qatar).

I didn't even know there was a generic page. DH and I kept trying to get it on our Aspires but we finally gave up and put it on our plats since we were worried it would just disappear altogether. I have a WA stay coming up later this year, too.

As long as you didn’t book basic economy you can cancel and get your miles and fees back.

I think they are just trying to talk you out of cancelling. I get a phone call every time I cancel via Sm. Ignore and they’ll close it. That has been my experience.

You get the points and any fees back. And you can cancel right up until take off basically as long as it's not basic economy. I'm becoming the queen of cancelling delta, LOL.

Sometimes that website is like that, it's annoying. Seriously, it feels like a big victory when I can get it to work. You can try a different browser, or try clearing cookies, restart your computer, all those things to try to trick the website into thinking you're a new visitor.
