Unfortunately I don't know the answer about "best option", but yes, that is an option. Hopefully someone else has chimed in.I wish this was a good option, but the only online shopping they do is through Amazon, and then mainly in person at local small businesses. Would next best option be just to purchase points on each account?
You can’t call th number on the back of the CSR, that sends you to the personal applications, they aren’t on the same system. The reason he got instant denial is because he already has an application pending. If he calls this number will they ask him questions about his business?
ETA: DH called the number and the back of his Ink card and the CSR said there was no application pending and to go ahead and apply again. Part of me knew this wasn’t right, but I went ahead and submitted another application. Well guess what, instant denial! Of course, because he already applied earlier today. I called back and spoke to a CSR myself this time, and she said to call reconsideration because now he has 1 pending application and 1 denial. He’s now afraid to call recon because he’s afraid they’re going to grill him about his business. Which he doesn’t want to deal with. Big sigh…so frustrated with myself right now. I may just let the app go. How long until he can apply again, 30 days?
Nope.Noticed that the Amex Bonvoy Biz card upped their SUB to 125K. They don’t match if you recently got the card, right?
Mine didn't appear automatically, even though I have two other open BoA cards (1 personal, 1 business). I imagine once I receive it in the mail and activate it, then I can tie it to my regular login.I went for that too and got instant approval. First BoA card. Have an old personal checking account. Do you know if the new card will appear in my online account (guessing not)?
Try opening an MR card.*** Amex? I had been in pop up hell for 1.5 years. In March I was finally approved for the Hilton Honors card (free), so I thought I was finally out of jail. I decided when my Delta Gold Biz was up for renewal in May to cancel when they didn't really offer me anything good to keep it. I have 2 Hilton cards (free and surpass) and the Everyday Preferred. I spend on all of them at least $100/mo. Right now I'm doing a MSR for the AU card on my son (Surpass), so I'm spending even more. I don't sock drawer my cards. And I always hit the $15k FNC on the surpass.
I just tried for the Amex Delta Plat Biz card. I opened the gold delta biz in 4/2019. I closed it in 5/2022! So why am I being denied the SUB on the Delta Plat Biz????
Open Amex Cards ....
Hilton Honors - 3/2022 (spend at least $100/mo)
Hilton Surpass - 10/2017 (spend at least $15k/yr)
Amex Everyday - open 1/19 upgraded 3/21 (spend at least $100/mo)
Closed Cards
Delta Gold Biz- Open 4/2019, closed 5/2022
Hilton Biz - Open 10/19 closed 11/20
Hilton Aspire - Open 12/18, closed 1/20
Delta Gold - Open 11/17, closed I think 4/19 to get the Biz card they closed it.
Starwoods - closed when they merged to Bonvoy, had at least 5 years.
I know the 2 Hilton cards were just after the year mark, so I figured that's why I was put into Amex jail. But when I got approved for the Hilton Honors card in March I thought Amex was finally happy with me. I debated closing the Delta Gold Biz for free I'd be locked out of the Delta Plat Biz like this. I've been an Amex card holder since 95. So why can't I get a SUB? What can I do to get them to love me? I was going to jump on the elevated offer. I have been holding off on the MDD w/ Chase because of the Amex spend, but I guess I can seriously start to look at that. I was going to pay for the kid's braces w/ the Delta MSR.
Go to Disneyland Paris! That’s what we’re doing instead of WDW.I am currently planning a trip to WDW in Nov/Dec. We are flying in the Friday after Thanksgiving and home the next Sunday.
We are staying at Copper Creek and Hard Rock Universal.
This trip is supposed to be to check out all the non Disney park Christmas things. Legoland, Seaworld, Universal, Gaylord Palms, and Night of a million lights(which they just announced is not happening)
I am currently stalking the DVC site to add a day. Every time I look I see a one bedroom ocean view at Aulani. Which makes me check Hawaiian airlines flights. About $3200 for the 4 of us. Out of points will spend much more than $3200 on all the tickets for Disney/Universal.
Just can’t decide. Disney/Universal or Aulani. ( we went to Disney last Dec. and Aulani in April)
I just feel like Hawaii was so relaxing. I see all of these videos of WDW being so busy, plus Genie+, no relaxing.
I do have some JetBlue points. Has anyone used them for Hawaiian airlines flights. If a flight is 50,000 miles with Hawaiian is it comparable in JetBlue points?
my informed delivery (dumb) story.....so last week I got a scane with some very important looking envelopes, govt. issued envelopes (the real kind, not scam) and I didn't get any mail at all that day delivered! Naturally I was concerned, waited a few days and then called my local p.o., as after that I got the mail normally..... got nowhere with all of that (as expected) -fast forward to about a week later,I was walking to my porch, and noticed a small metal mailbox someone had given me,I had set it in the driveway, behind a bush away from the porch, intending to put it in the garage(and forgot it) Can you guess where this is going? As I walked by that day I glanced down and noticed it looked sort of open.....(what?!?) and looked in,and there was the missing mail! Lesson learned, put that box into the garage, must've been a sub carrier whothought for some reason my mailbox was on the ground behind a big bush, mostly invisible. This is totally off topic (except the Kabbage offer is part of this) but I had mail informed delivery for Monday (I don't get the mail everyday) that was again in my informed delivery today. 5 pieces, and none of it has been delivered either Monday or today? How the heck would it get rescanned? Very weird.
If I had a choice between Aulani and WDW I'd pick Hawaii in a heartbeat no questions! I mean, a theme park (with all the current hassles) vs Hawaii?I am currently planning a trip to WDW in Nov/Dec. We are flying in the Friday after Thanksgiving and home the next Sunday.

Do you have 3 or more new cards in the last 12 months on your credit report? BoA has a soft 3/12 rule if you don't have a deposit account with them.
Is this in-store or online?Dosh is offering 4% (targeted) at OD/OM ending tonight, and it stacks with the Chase offers on my cards. I bought (2) $200 vgc (OD/OM is running $15 off $300 vgc purchase currently) + a misc item, and split payment onto two cards with the OD/OM Chase offers. So I got $16 from Dosh, $16 from Chase, and 1600URs and 80 SW RRs.
My store didn't have any GE vgc, so I usually end up getting the Five Back version, which offers 5% back at certain merchants. I noticed Royal Caribbean is one of those merchants, and I'm not planning on cruising anytime soon but I know some people here sail with RC so I thought I'd mention it. I have no idea how you'd use it for RC though (over the phone payment? apply to room? idk).
In-store.Is this in-store or online?
Thanks, I didn't know about this rule. Do inquiries count? I just checked my spreadsheet. The first time I was denied for the cash card I was only 1/24. Earlier this year when I was denied, I was 2/12. Both instances probably has lots more inquiries b/c of the biz cards. Do you think the deposit account bypasses the rule? If I open one now, how long should I wait before trying again for the card? Also, does it matter if I open personal or business deposit account, if I'm trying for a biz card? TIA!
Avios is AMAZINGLY helpful. It's BA that sucks! So if you can call Avios to do all this, I would try them. Avoid BA at all costs! Reading FT I'm seeing people are being told 3mos+ to get points to post, but those are missing points for travel/shopping. I'd like to think my transfer gets handled faster!Looking for flight change advice. I booked with Avios points on Iberia (British Airways metal) from London to Philadelphia on Oct. 28.
We are thinking of extending our stay another day and I can get a BA flight on the 29th for about the same points and fees.
I prefer to use the Avios from my original booking but I remember @LilSweetPeaPhoto having a terrible time getting Avios refunded. Any suggestions on how to cancel an Iberia flight and book a BA flight with those Avios?
**edited: I've been out of town with no real internet for five days (kind of nice) so I haven't been up to date. Just got caught up here and see that Avios saga with BA is still ongoing..
AHHHH! Not fair! 10x on FB mentioned getting denied if you have a 0% offer on any card. I do, it expires in Sept but that would have been active when my Hilton card was approved. Someone on FT said popups are personal or biz exclusive. Not sure how I make the biz gods happy then w/ no biz cards. It seems to me you got put in jail, but after doing some time, they released you on probation. It seems you became a repeat offender when you closed that Delta Gold Biz card just two months after they put you on probation. If it feels better, I think be doing my first stint soon, as I recently closed a few Amex cards.
I've been loving the back to back weeks of OD! Though last week they were sold out by Friday. I slacked going this week thinking they wouldn't have any. I am working my way through all my chase cards w/ the offer. So I'm not really maxing on the CIC, but I am making a little money, LOL.No fee Visa gift cards at Staples starting Sunday!
But then I'd need to close the MR card to apply for the Biz card, LOL. So I'd make them unhappy again. I do have a MR card and spend on it regularly. Someone on FT mentioned pop-ups can be biz/personal based too. I don't know if I want to do a Biz Gold or something.....Reddit mentioned NLL cards get approved w/o popups. I was told to try applying via Delta's website as well, still got a popup.Try opening an MR card.
Dosh hasn’t banned you yet? This unfortunately will likely put you on their radar. I would tread carefully if you care about keeping your dosh account (speaking from experience).Dosh is offering 4% (targeted) at OD/OM ending tonight, and it stacks with the Chase offers on my cards. TBH I rarely use my Dosh account - my last transaction was over 8 months ago lol. But this short term 4% at ODOM stacked with Chase offers is more appealing than previous ODOM vgc promos. So if I get banned, it doesn't really matter to me, but I appreciate the warning anyway.Dosh hasn’t banned you yet? This unfortunately will likely put you on their radar.
