I feel like this is a dumb question so asking for grace from the start... I have the SW Biz card. I earned points this statement. I have a RR account that I assumed was linked to my Biz card since I used it when I applied. How come the points from my Biz card aren't in my RR account? Do I have to transfer them over to the RR account somehow?

And the SUB points won't post until after closing statement date, correct? Not as soon as I get to the min. spend.
Did you provide your RR account # when you submitted the application? You may need to call chase to see what RR account # they have? They might have created a new RR account if you didn’t enter it during the application.

Enjoy! Coronado Island is worth a visit and the meat eaters in my fam would say Phil's bbq is a must do in San Diego.

Oh and I was supposed to update you on MKE. It seems pretty much business as usual there. Everything seems open, Starbucks, Aunt Annie's, Pizzeria Picola, etc and are doing a healthy business. TSA Prescheck lines have been very, very small and regular lines have seemed average. We haven't had cancellations to any of our SW flights, knock on wood.
Thank you, I think I'm going to hit the Miller grill since I'm going to be there much earlier than I probably need to be. I'm neurotic about not being late and I'm starting 80 miles north. I have Pre so I'm not too concerned about TSA, although it's always fun to see infrequent travelers in the recombobulation area.
My grubhub order from Monday didn't trigger an email for my gold and the credit hasn't posted. Has anyone ised their dining credit successfully this month? Haven't seen anyone posting issues on r/churning.
Mine posted on Jan 12 for an order I had on the 10th.

Does anyone have any "retention offers for dummies" they could share with me? I just got into this game a year or so ago, and have my CSP AF hitting this month or next, and my Amex personal gold in March. I am clueless when it comes to asking for a retention offer so hoping someone could share some guidance. Thanks!

I would check and see if they somehow gave you a new RR number since in my experience the points show up pretty quickly once the statement closes.

Thanks! I did put one on my application but I have also SM'd Chase to follow up to see what they have on file and to ask them to link with the RR I provided.

Chase isn't big on retention offers. They gave some earlier in the pandemic, but I haven't seen any DPs lately. You'd have to call (can't SM).

On the Amex gold, I think the best I've seen lately is 30k for $3000 spend. Also saw 15-20k for $2000. I like to know the offers beforehand so I have an idea what offer I'd take. You can chat, but do it during regular business hours since they have to transfer you to a different department.

Question on AMEX offers, if I use an offer then return the item, and AMEX claws back the amount I got back from the offer, but the offer isn’t expired can I use it again? I hope that makes sense. I used the offer at Walmart, then returned the item, got the refund from Walmart but then AMEX charged me back the percentage I had gotten off.

I think so. I have the $10 back Walmart, use 4 times. On the last time, I bought GC, but Walmart kept canceling it. I tried twice. It got credited, clawed back, credited, clawed back.

Chase almost never gives retention offers, so don't worry if none are offered on the CSP. I don't even bother calling in on my Chase cards. With Amex, I call the retention PH# (800-528-4800) tell them I'm trying to decide whether to keep my card and ask if there are any retention offers available to me. It can be hit or miss, there's no real secret formula and the agents are usually honest if they can offer something.

I like to use the chat function as well for Amex. You can select "cancel a card" from the options or type it (it won't actually cancel the card).

You: I'm considering canceling my ____ card, ending in _____.
Rep: Let me transfer you to the special dept. Transfers...
You: I'm considering canceling my ____ card, ending in _____ due to the high annual fee.
Rep: Usually lists the card benefits
You: Thank you for recapping the card benefits. In the next year I don't believe I'll be able to take advantage of those benefits and due to the high annual fee, I'm still considering canceling the card.
Rep: Might list more benefits or benefits you've used or may give you an offer.
You: Are there any incentives to encourage me to keep the card open, such as a statement credit or additional points?
Rep: Offer or "there are no offers on your card at this time"

I like to search reddit r/churning using the search function to look for data points specific to that card, so I go into the chat knowing what I want and what I would/would not accept. If you don't like the offer provided, just say you'll give it some thought. You can try back again.

Often when accepting an offer, you are agreeing to keep the card open another 12 months, so be mindful of that.

this is how I am going to France first time I thought the 2x was worth it! lol was for a canceled Disney land trip that we'll be doing in 2023!
It was such a rigamarole! We just wanted the Disney tickets!

Are you using the Delta credit to cover all of your France trip? We are letting DD pick a trip anywhere, and she picked Paris, so I need to get a points strategy for the summer 2023 trip!

Mine have credited on both my card and DH’s card.
1/4 credited 1/8
1/5 credited 1/9
