Yeah I think we should be just home from an Iceland/Norway cruise. Now I’m wondering if next year’s cruise will even happen. Just want to get a few more trips in with my kids before they are completely off on their own.Super jealous of all the Iceland trips, especially since we had to cancel ours in 2020. Please feel free to post pics for those of us who aren't going abroad this year, and have a fantastic time. It's an incredible place!

Yep. We missed our last chance to take a long trip with DD. I hope you'll still be able to take your 2022 trip. At least they still get decent vacations when they are in college.
For what it's worth, as my oldest was turning 18, I remember saying, "hey, this will probably be your last trip to Disney with us, hey?" [You know bc I'm from Wisconsin and that's how we talk, ey] One of the things I was the most sad about them getting older was that all six of us wouldn't travel together anymore. Well, it just never happened! Our oldest is 23 and the next is 20 and they still want to go on MOST of the trips. We never assume automatically that they'll come and the oldest always has to check his school schedule, but they do come on most trips.
In the last six months we started inviting the long-time BF and GF on SOME trips (not all) too, so I think that will keep them along for the ride for years to come. But I think the less pressure they feel from us as parents, the more likely they'll come.
Epcot was good. There’s just not enough for his age to do there so he got antsy. The playground was closed and roped off. We rode living with the land, Nemo, and figment. He loved figment! We’re coming back in September and changed our Epcot day to mk because there isn’t much we want to do there againHave a fun trip..enjoy Epcot and the boardwalk area
Hi! I’ve been reading for about a month and have learned so much!
Quick question: I have a Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select Card (a MasterCard). There is an offer for bonus miles for spending on eligible purchases at: Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Drugstores, Gas Stations, and Mass Transit & Commuter Transportation.
I made a gift card purchase at Kroger and on the app, the category is Merchandise. I’ve apparently never used the card at any grocery store, so I’m not familiar with this card’s categories.
Does anyone happen to know if the purchase will count towards the spend? If it does, great… if it doesn’t, I used the card for my DVC dues and got 4x Fuel Points anyway.
Thank you for your help!
most online grocery store portals are actual run by BHN or GCM and are charged by them rather than the grocery store itself, therefore will not code as a Grocery store. U have to physically go into the grocery store to buy it.
Also note, OfficeDepot online is also run by GCM and will not code 5x UR on the Ink Cash. Staples.com however will still code office supply store due to them still being the vendor doing the gift cards.
Ugh. Trying to transfer my Hyatt points to DH's account. First time I did it, was so easy and fast. This time, the phone number I put on the form didn't match his account info. Oops, forgot what phone number I used. So I went and changed it online. Just hear back (3 days later) and now they're saying the signatures are illegible. Can I resend with legible signatures.Okay. I can do that. But it won't really be our signatures!
Good thing I don't need those points in a hurry!
IME Citi, or at least Citi AA cards, don't show the sub layers of detail like other issuers. Everything rolls up into more generic headers. All my grocery purchases showed up under Merchandise and gas shows under Vehicle Services. My card gets bonus points for gas and all those charges earned the appropriate bonus. So it most likely will be categorized correctly, but you may need to wait until the statement ends to confirm.Good to know about online vs in person purchase. I actually did go into Kroger and purchase the card in person. Hopefully, it will work out.
I have made a smaller purchase at HEB for some things for dinner with my parents. If that codes differently, I’ll try Kroger again with a small milk run or something to see how that codes. (Science teacher nerding out with the Scientific Method on my credit card purchases.)![]()
Seems like at this point it might just be easier to book the room you want online with his points and your points and then make one phone call to the hotel to merge the reservations. Or, call World of Hyatt's number and they will make the booking for you using both account numbers.
He could make you guest of honor (if he is 60 Night Globalist) and you would get all of his perks.DH is Globalist (I'm not), so I think the points need to come out of his account.
Just sent the form off. It they come back with something else, I'm going to complain!![]()
And why they have a paper process is silly. Although I guess my fed agency still has many paper processes which came back to bite us during the pandemic but we still keep creating more.DH is Globalist (I'm not), so I think the points need to come out of his account.

That’s right! Ugh!But the points still need to come out of his account. So back to square one.![]()

We've gotten Globalist perks when DH is in the room, even when using my points. Is this unusual?
