SW free change, what was the last dates of the free flight change?

We are trying to book our August flights, but everything is so expensive (our friends are paying cash) that I want to wait until that free change window opens.

Sanity check - DH has 2 CFFs (downgrades from CSR and CSP). I want him to apply for the CFU before the 5x grocery offer expires. I’m assuming that, despite having 2 CFFs, he is still eligible for the SUB and 5x grocery offer on the CFU? Is that right? Want to make sure I’m not missing something before I make a dumb move!
Yes he can apply for the CFF...make sure the 5x grocery offer is showing when he applies...it disappeared from the support links :(

I haven’t seen any for a while .I’ve been watching for our flights in May but I also could of missed it with the holidays etc

i changed my February and end of April flights on December 19. I don’t know if there has been another date since then.

Would anyone be so kind to refresh my memory.... I closed my Southwest card on Dec 9th. What day can I apply for a new one? Is it 31 days after?

Also, I'm contemplating a MDD with southwest cards... Still undecided but if I go for it, I could potentially apply for one before bed and assuming, I'm approved, the next one when I wake up in the morning? And do I need to be 3/24 or 4/24 since the apps are so close together?

Thanks so much!
You should be good after this weekend. You just need to be under 5/24 for the MDD So you can be 4/24 or 3/24. Let’s say you apply Mon and are approved so would then apply Tues for #2. If you wait until Wed you would be SOL. If you don’t get auto-approved for #2, many say to call recon to push it through but you could also wait it out.

If you are applying for the exact same card 31 days...if a different card your fine to apply now.
If you apply for SW business cards they don’t count against your 5/24
So it's worth noting that there are numerous DPs (including one on our thread just a month or so ago) that you have to wait longer to reapply now. EVEN if you are applying for a different personal card. I honestly don't know the answer to this one these days... but it might be 30 days in any situation.

I did some research and you asked this question back on December 6th: https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...t-page-for-addl-details.3784063/post-62510739

And it was answered BUT then somebody chimed in with more info: https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...t-page-for-addl-details.3784063/post-62511311

An excerpt: They told me I could not apply for any other SW card until the acct has been closed 30 days. They explained that the card is technically still "open" in their system for 30 days in case you decide not to cancel, and you can only have 1 SW card at a time. Mine was a personal card and I didn't ask about business.

I'd read the exchange that follows there.

There haven’t been any windows yet in Jan. Dec was the last one but it was only Feb/early March.🤞there are more! I have some I need to do.

On the topic of waiting 30 days to reapply with SW - it was @djmeredith and here is the original exchange on that:

Yes. I had to go back and read my original posts to figure out the dates, and I actually only waited 8 days. I closed my acct on Sept 5 and then applied for the higher level card on Sept 13. I have great credit and only had 2 cards total and 0/24 at the time so I knew there was a problem when I got the "we will send a letter" message. I called and spoke to someone in the lending section. He is the one who provided the 30 day/product family rule info, and he explained that they had not pulled my credit because they could not even process the app within that 30 days. He said maybe if I talk to the other (regular) customer service dept, they might have a way to officially close out the acct sooner than 30 days, so I tried that and they said no way to do it.

adding @Alexle2007 to the mix. My CIC letter arrived yesterday as I saw in my informed delivery, but when I got the letter - it wasn't my card. It was the rewards info that would come with the card. Total disappointment.

And this mornings mail - crickets again.
:(
Checked my informed delivery email, there are 2 envelopes from "Chase Ink", but they both say statement.

I know my card is around here somewhere, I just can not find it and I'm tired of looking.

I think I seriously just experienced a small instance of PTSD...

I'm on a call about round 2 of PPP loans with my bank. I started getting sweaty and my heart was racing and it was like my mind was back in April all over again: Scared, worried, upset. I seriously had to snap out of it and remind myself that it's 2021. It was super-weird for a minute over here!

I've never experienced anything quite like being a banker during PPP. The entire world felt like it was falling apart, you're scared for your family, yet you're working 18 hours a day (at home) and never see your family despite them being just a staircase away.

(Not trying to make light of legit PTSD and traumatic events... I just don't know what just happened to me, and it was really odd)

Hopefully knowing how much what you do matters helps some:)

Long time lurker here, but did read all the pages from last year!

If DD is not an insured on any other policy (or a potentially a “resident” of your household), she would need to get the liability coverage from the rental company. The friend‘s policy and the rental policy would not likely cover her.
Yeah, I told her to do some research on that (she is going in 2 days!) I suffer from anxiety and thinking about it was giving me major issues. I do have to check with her today to see what she came up with. Reminded her STRONGLY that if she rents the car only properly authorized drivers can use it. She is not a very experienced driver and I have these nightmare scenarios with new rental cars, I know last time I rented it took me an hour to figure out how to get it into park!

I'm good now - I feel fine again :D.

I just had some really dark days in there - there were days that I didn't even talk to my children or wife, ate every meal in front of my computer, worked from 9am until 4am, slept for 5 hours and did it again. And of course did this in the early stages of the pandemic when we all were super scared. And then there were the days when I failed some of my clients and really was in a dark place.

And somehow during this call my brain went back there and I just had all these strange feelings come over me.
