Yep, it's really tough for the kids I know who are in college right now, and even more so the newly-launched graduates. I can't count the number of them that I know who had jobs and apartments and lives all set up and now find themselves back in their parents' homes.

I just got an email thanking from Walt Disney World thanking me for visiting and hoping my family had an amazing time. One problem, we haven't been there in a year.

Today's quick trip to the mall to go to dick's (had almost no jackets) and daiso since we have them and I keep reading about it as a must do for Tokyo. Entered the mall to see some guy running towards the entrance with a bag thinking he must be in a hurry after or to make a delivery to then realize he was being chased and had a look of panic on his face. Had I thought quick enough I could've stuck my foot out but it's better to let others deal with shoplifters.

Restrained from spending too much at daiso and mostly got what I went in for. Went to the car to order five guys and had stuck the keys in the ignition then realized after ordering I could walk there. Needless to say my keys are still there and I ate lunch on my trunk waiting for mom to bring my key. And I see her, yay!

DH received his new Chase Marriott Card today. Since he didn't have a Marriott account I just let them assign him one. Probably a bad idea but I was being lazy. How do I get the number? Not in any of the paperwork he received and no where on the Chase website I can find.

Great thing your Mom was there for you! I've locked myself out of the house a number of times and my daughter had left work to rescue me. Now she's home so no worries, but I've still left my door key behind. As recently as day before yesterday.

This is only the 3rd time I've ever done it. The first time was in high school and I'd gone out turn the car on so it could warm up, it was winter, old car and I like heat, and accidentally locked the door. I finished getting ready, got my stuff, locked the door and got to my car to find the door locked. I was the only one home, my mom was already at work, the one odd time growing up she didn't work 2nd shift, and my stepdad drove truck so was gone. I had to go to the neighbors to use the phone. It was 96 or 97 so well before cell phones. Mom came home and then followed me to school as my note because she figured it was easier and didn't think they'd believe the note.

The other time was downtown Seattle but I was with friends and one had AAA so not as big of a deal. I think that time they just got dropped instead of ending up in my purse.

DH received his new Chase Marriott Card today. Since he didn't have a Marriott account I just let them assign him one. Probably a bad idea but I was being lazy. How do I get the number? Not in any of the paperwork he received and no where on the Chase website I can find.

Is it printed on the card? My Chase Hyatt and the Amex Hiltons are, but oddly not the Amex Bonvoy. If not, you might have to call or SM.

I have a credit in my Alaska airlines account because of a cancelation due to COVID, but they would not refund to card I only got a monetary credit. The credit expires in June of 2021. I got this email about converting it to points, and info about the new program coming:

I think I'm going to convert because I don't think we will be able to use the wallet credit before it expires and I do not want to lose that money. We are trying to figure out what to do for dd20. She lost the spring semester as she was supposed to be in the DCP. Took 6 hours over the summer in online classes. Taking 15 hours this fall, all online, and hating every minute. She doesn't want to go back in the spring if it's going to look the same as this fall and the school is saying it will look 'a lot like this fall'. Trying to decide if she takes a gap semester, only takes a couple classes and works more, or hangs in there with a full load. She was sent home from the DCP and went back to her old job once they opened back up in early June. She was laid off a few weeks ago. So, she hates school right now and has no job. We know a ton of kids who either took a gap fall semester or a full gap year.

I know it’s not ideal but are any other universities near hers offering in person classes? Where I work, they are doing many in person with social distancing plus testing of all the kids once every two weeks. She can then transfer back to her school when things are back to “normal”.

That’s the one Amazon has and we could get it tomorrow. I will 100% use it. I sit here all day in a recliner lol

Have you tried a swing for your baby? I always thought they were just a useless thing taking up space but my third kid wouldn’t sleep in his bed at all. A friend insisted on giving me her swing and he slept all night in there for a few months. It was battery powered and we changed those darn 4 D batteries every few days.

I’m late to this but I got that for my son for Christmas from Target this week. It doesn’t come with the game though...I didn’t notice till I got it home and just thought I had gotten a great deal! Mine didn’t come with the game. I had to buy them separately

He used to sleep in a swing but it didn’t last long. He’s easily distracted so his room has to be pitch black. He has some feeding problems so I don’t mind holding him for naps to make sure he’s getting enough sleep. I don’t have to hold him for night time sleep, just for naps.

I received my new Chase Marriott card yesterday so I can use it at the Dolphin when I check in tomorrow. That will get me 6X pts for the 7 night stay.

I told my BIL about the current IHG offer and he was instantly approved today. He's got 140,000K coming when he hits his MSR. Thanks for that tip!

I’ve been wanting a Nintendo switch for awhile now so I could play animal crossing but it was always out of stock and we’ve been dealing with some things at home. I’m having to hold ds for all naps which means I have a ton of time to play now lol. I’m really considering just buying from Amazon today. It has free one day shipping for the console and game. Does this sound like a bad idea?

You can get the Animal Crossing version for $299.99 which I believe is MSRP.

We are in CO which has been super slow to open back up. I think once we see how the fall plays out, we will make a decision for the spring. At this point, CO seems to hang back in terms of opening up and letting these kids attend classes
