We have been doing too much baking here lately. DD and I are working on a sourdough starter, too, since we are home all the time. Tonight we made a small batch of chocolate chip mini muffins and they are all gone now. :rotfl:

They never got back to me. I finally managed to get through to them on the phone today (gasp) and got it cancelled.
Ugh Dh will not want to call especially if it’s after the baby is born. Hopefully they answer his SM

It shouldn't mess anything up. You can go into your MDE and invite her to plan with you by clicking on family and friends > update (next to her name) > share planning with "name." It will ask you for her e-mail address and send her a link to create an account. Then instead of managing her you can view her plans and she is automatically connected to you. I think it is much safer doing this than having her create her own account and then attempting to connect it with the profile already in your account. Less messy to initiate it from you.
Thanks, I did that now. 😊

Chase offers, I got a 10% back at Rite Aid one on my Disney card a few days back. $6 maximum, expires 6/4. A day or so later I got a 5% one on the CSR with a 5/31 expiration. Today I got another 10% back one on the CF but with yet another expiration date, 5/15.

Looks like there's a couple different offers so if you weren't targeted before you might be now.

I had something very similar with Bar Cray Cray. Part of my COVID19-cancelled trip met my JetBlue biz MSR. Once I found out the refund amount, I overpaid the same amount on my cable bill. Got a $0 statement balance and it made me feel much safer knowing there would be no negative repercussions. Bar Cray Cray isn't petty like Amex, but I didn't want to risk it!
I was fortunate the MSR on the card was only $!k, which was less than the JB tickets I bought for the entire family. Making up that entire amount would have been much tougher. Doable, but involved.

Southwest is currently running a “deal” if you donate more than $25 to one of their partner charities they will give you 10 RR points per dollar up to 10k points. So, if anyone was looking to donate during these crazy times, here is a good point earning opportunity.

aaaand I'm here rethinking things again (new week new stress thoughts) my cruise that I intend to cancel..... PIF date isn't even till late June.
Now I'm thinking, if I wait to cancel, anyone think I could possibly have an issue getting my points refunded,I'm thinking due to possible cruiseline problems...(like them running out of money b/c no one is currently cruising) What do you all think? Should I just do it now, or wait- is this a real risk,or too early to say yet? I
As I posted earlier,I'm canceling,it's already PIF on UR points. I was advised to wait till mid June,to hear if it's possibly canceled by them, and then call and cancel (and lose $800 worth of my points sigh, cheap fare)
I'd rather have 1/2 my points back than none back.... (or potentially if they cancel it I could get them all back?)

Which cruise line? I think most of them have ample reserves to survive several more months. I probably would hope they cancel so you get your deposit back. I think the chance of you get no money back is very slim.

ETA: Looks like Carnival has said they can make it through the year even with no sailings.

Dh sent a SM today to cancel his CIP. We’ll see how long it takes for them to get back to us
They never got back to me. I finally managed to get through to them on the phone today (gasp) and got it cancelled.
I called this morning to PC my CIP to a CIU and the messages about how there would be long wait times and that I should really just use the app or chase.com took longer than my actual wait time - rep picked right up and took care of my PC.

Oh man all this baby talk. On the detergent front, i really think dreft is just one of those things that's out there to get parents to spend money because there's a baby on the bottle. Free/Clear detergent will work just fine, or whatever your usual detergent is, as long as baby doesn't react. Post-partum hormones? I would sit in the chair and cry with this last baby because I would NEVER get to hold another baby that was this tiny, etc. Things leveled out in a week or 2, but be prepared to cry over just about anything. She has almost outgrown her 3-6mo stuff at this point (she'll be 7mo tomorrow) and I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to be able to get more clothes for her. Our 2nd hand baby and kids clothes/gear store is closed (non-essential) right now and when they open back up i'm sure it'll be a mad-house of moms desperate to not only get out of the house, but also to get their kids who have also sized up new clothes. I might have to stick to poshmark and pay a little more than I want (which will still be less than ordering new from carters or wherever.)

DH's chase account says it can take up to EIGHT WEEKS for the sub points to post?? Is that the normal time frame, or is that just a CYA/generic statement from chase? Now it says they'll be on his next statement

Just keeping track of what I have going on for cancels/refunds.

Cancelled our Alaskan cruise 2 weeks ago over the phone (still have 2 more weeks before we hit the 30 days they said it would take for refund)-Still no refunds
Cancelled flights with Alaska Airlines online-still no refunds (30 day refund notice also)
Cancelled AA flights to NY-no point refund, (website said to call when ready to rebook)
Have not cancelled AA hotel, it says to call in and I'm not ready for that hold time
Group excursion in Alaska have not called to try and get a refund yet. They are only offering a credit for 2 years.
Broadway cancelled Hamilton for our dates, requested refund, not received yet.

Booked a 3 day trip to the beach in a condo in June. Crossing fingers Stay at home orders are lifted
Book flights with Soutwest for a Columbus day trip to Disney, and hotel at Hilton. Hoping a good room deal comes out to stay on property.

Credit Card news. Nothing going on for us right now.

Ugh. Keeping track of all this stuff is enough to drive me batty.

For those refi-ing. Are you holding off on new cards (especially biz) for the credit pull or the new account? I was thinking the biz cards would not show up on my credit report and not be a problem for a home loan. We are looking for property to buy to build our retirement house. Wondering if the biz cards will show up and be counted as revolving debt when we go to get a loan.

A Biz really shouldn't show up, but I wouldn't risk it until my refi is done. They did ask me ti explain my personal SW card pull in January. None of my business cards around the same time showed up.

I wouldn’t apply until after the home loan closes, they may not be able to see the account balance but they can see the inquiry for credit if one is done
