I had an offer last week (had to opt in) on my Chase Bonvoy Boundless for 10X on restaurants and gas, through 9/15. Not sure how much I will use it.

Also got an offer from AmEx on DH's BCE that we rarely use - switch it to Cash Magnet card, spend $1000 in 3 months for $150 credit. Took it, nothing to lose really, though we don't need another 1.5X on everything card, but no AF.

And I got

this on my Marriott Brilliant, plus a couple of other things but no Sam's club :(
DH got the same offers on his Marriott.
Also have the southwest 5x at grocery stores and gas stations. I didn’t read the fine print but I hope all the points count toward CP. I think the offer ends 9/30... then we’ll switch gas purchases to Brilliant. I need to figure out a way to keep all these offers straight.

I got similar offers on my Amex Bonvoy Biz - seems like with adding to the regular points the card gets, it gets you up to 10 points. I haven't used $20 worth of gas since March in my cars, I'm not traveling and we are not eating out, but are ordering in.

Found a Staples offer for 10% off up to $40 on the same Biz - will use this.

My Plat has the Dell offer. Ordered the Yoshi game & printer ink. They sell ink for a surprising number of printer brands. HP, Canon, Fujitsu, Epson...

There’s a good clearance event going on at Express right now. (Can’t sleep so I’m online spending money :jester:) All clearance items are $15. I got a coat that was originally $128 & a few other things. The coat is ivory lace & completely impractical, but hey, it’s $15 & I will love it anyway!

What do your new Chase log ins look like? Mine and DHs are different. I don't like his and am wondering if there are settings somewhere I am missing? His cards are all squished together on the main page and I can't see his points unless I open a specific card. Mine has point totals on the right and my cards show more detail on the home screen. He does have a few more cards and a checking account so wonder if that makes a difference?

Hope I blacked out all important info....

So I got my CFU denial explanation letter today. Too many recent requests for credit or reviews of your credit. The only cards I got lately were BOA in Feb and Citi DC in May. I did open some bank accounts for bonuses, could that be the problem? They nicely added my credit score at the bottom, which they claim they also used in the decision. Darn, it's only 843! Thoughts? Should I call to discuss?

Also on the back - insufficient installment loan information (no loans here since 1992!)
Number of requests for new credit in the past 3 months (? new bank account debit cards cause this?)
Nu,ber of requests for new credit in the past 12 months. (Definitely under 5/24 for credit cards)

Mine looks like the bottom (I mostly use Firefox on a Mac). Three cards, no checking accts.

I have the bottom format. Maybe bottom is for female, top is for males. Who knows!

Edit: I didn't find anyplace to adjust format so maybe they just haven't changed your husbands over yet?

Pulled my Experian report to see what Chase is basing denial on. Besides my May and Feb new cards, they had a Chase inquiry from Feb 2020, which is when I had to increase the CL to PC from CIP to CFU. They also had 3 Chase pulls from the first half of 2019, 2 business cards and the third being my CSP in June. But those 3 are not in the last 12 months! So it seems they have tightened up some with regular non-business cards as well?

From my experience, yes. I applied for a CSP in July, and was denied. I tried reconsideration line, and the rep wanted to approve me but said all recons need to go through a supervisor now, and I needed to wait to hear back on their final decision. Within 24 hours, the supervisor decided no, and that was final. The reasons they listed were 1) too many recent cards opened, and 2) too many card balances. Like all of you, I pay off in full each month, and typically use less than 10% utilization across all cards. Also, I've only have one other card opened in 2020, which was an IHG Premier back in March. Prior to that card, nothing new since April 2019, and I was only at 3/24. IMO, they are tightening even on non-biz cards. I was shocked that I was denied... like many of you, my credit score is about 800, pay everything in full each month, no late payments or anything derogatory.

So I'm watching the news and they are showing Splash Mountain with one of the boats sinking, and guests told not to get off.

Meanwhile the shot of the boat shows nobody on it. Waiting for the rest of the story as they did an opening 'teaser' with this opening headline on Fox 5 DC.

Plus here in Southern Maryland skies are dark and we are waiting for the skies to drench us from Isaias.

Edit: ok - SM incident happened Sunday, all okay, old news now. Why they decided to lead the news with this I have no idea.....

There were people in the boat when it started to sink and they got out. They were told they should have stayed. Consensus on the news and rumors thread is that no one would have stayed in the boat, esp with how deep it went. Plus if it gets bumped from behind then what or what if the bumping boat goes over the sinking boat as thr back in was pretty much under water.

Yes, I googled while waiting for the rest of the story and updated my post.

The rain here will be more exciting as it looks like we are going to get pretty wet where I am. Already put away all my patio cushions.

Not sure if this has been posted. I didn't see it anywhere but I could have missed it - as @SouthFayetteFan usually keeps everyone updated.

Southwest has changed their schedule. Next round of flights was to be released on August 27th. It has now been moved up to August 13th and includes dates through April 11th (that was extended as well, previously they said through March 9th or somewhere around there).

Have a cruise booked for spring break, so will be booking that day. (Hopefully the cruise gets to sail..)

We were initially under a hurricane warning and I don’t think we even got an inch of rain lol

It's pouring here. It held off so we would get super wet. We are under a tropical storm warning.

And, to add to that the guy was just going to trim a tree for me but the rain came too fast.
