Sorry about your flight. But yes, while MPLS is prepared for weather, we got the biggest November snowstorm in 18 years overnight, and it was a mess everywhere! They keep up the best that they can.
Y’all must have gotten our weather from yesterday. We got 14 inches at our house and we are in the part of Denver that got the least amount of snow 😂

Yucchhh! That's why I'm trying to get out of here in January and February. We are 57 right now but it's getting cooler over the next week, down to 45 day time temps. Good chance we will get below freezing by years end but hopefully snow stays away in December. Sometimes we get it and sometimes we don't. It will come for sure in January and February.

We got a dusting... However funny story... So I told DD that a large snow storm cell was approaching and she got scared asking if it would be loud and scary so I went on to tell her it would not and its just snow and thunder/lightning is super uncommon ect... Less than 5mins later the whole house lights up and the instant clap of thunder. Shoot! Well I explain that was super uncommon but really cool! She didn't buy it so told her when it happens its just one or two as the storm comes in and it'll quite down and just snow... Snow turns to hail, constant thunder and lightning... Made me a lier again. :rotfl2: I loved it! Was out on the porch enjoying it!

A friendly reminder to Price Match this holiday season! Many price matches won't work around Black Fri/Cyber Mon week but I just did a price match at Target via chat (they stop price matching tomorrow for the next week) and saved $126 on a piece of furniture I bought last week from them online. Found the exact same thing being sold by Walmart online today and Target chat got it matched and issued me a refund.

I didn't even realize Target price matched until I thought to check today!

Totally underwhelmed and glad I didn’t wait up!!

Same! Do you know what time it starts?

Pretty sure it was Amex. I had it too. Never added it but I think it was on Amex.

I would have been freaking out too. Glad she’s safe and home. My teens keep their phone on utter silence all the time too. It drives me nuts.
I’m getting my nephew a crayola art set from Walmart and it said 10 pm (est) tonight. Idk if they have different times or not.

Glad you got your stroller @Haley! I saw the lower price when I checked this morning but I wasn’t up when the sale went live so maybe they had a glitch.
We’re gonna go pick it up later today. I can’t wait to try it out. By the way, you tagged someone besides me in your post lol

I didn’t realize they did that either! That’s nice to know.

Is 62,000 HH points a night a horrible deal for a suite near Disneyland? Is it worth the extra 10,000-20,000 HH pts/night to stay within walking distance to the parks? I just received my bonus points for my Hilton biz and we are working on MSR for 2 more Hilton cards right now, so having enough points isn't an issue, but I don't want to waste points either. I was hoping to lock in a room, but the Double Tree and Homewood Suites we were looking at are both sold out on Saturday night for the suites we were looking at originally that were 50,000 pts/ night. We're planning 5 nights since 5th night is free, but only doing 2 park days. I'm up in the air on whether we should stay a little farther out or just spend the extra points to stay near the parks... Do HH points ever fluctuate with cash prices or are they set no matter what the cash price is? Some of the suites around DL have insane point redemptions!

Maybe it is from my Guest Service days, but I LOVE Target price match 😍😍😍

Don't stop checking after Cyber Monday either! Last year Walmart dropped the prices of the new iPads even more than Thanksgiving so I price matched 2 of them via chat on my cellphone while I was in WDW. I saved my 5% on top so it was a win, win! Easiest money ever and I already had the iPads in my grubby little hands 🤣

@Haley R I am glad you got what you needed AND that Target corrected the price!

I am glad I was not the only person disappointed in the Target ad! I guess I will just have to get multiple 20% off coupons and make my own Target deals on items that aren't excluded LOL
When is the 20% off coupon?

Fresh Chase shutdown reports today just in time for Thanksgiving...

3 users on r/churning reporting shutdowns (1 personally, 1 for a P2, and 1 for a friend).
  • The first one was 27/24 (and 16/12) for their stats using a black star link they were targeted for
  • The second one was a user I recognize on r/churning who apparently used leaked/manipulated links to double dip a CSP and CF. Their flair indicates that they are 28/24...
  • The 3rd was a friend of a trusted r/churning user.
This is nothing groundbreaking or new. This should not cause any amount of elevated worry around shutdowns as long as you are responsible in your pacing. My thoughts:
  • If you are wrecklessly signing up for cards from Chase 1 month apart, then perhaps you should worry, but I don't think we have anybody doing that here.
  • I know most people avoided the leaked/manipulated links so that shouldn't be a concern. If you did move forward using one of those links I assume you understood the risks and it was acceptable to you.
  • I would tread lightly on those black/green star offers if you have a high X/24 count. That triggers a review of your credit and could put you at risk for a shutdown.
Apparently you might get an email like this if you are shutdown:

On a somewhat related note, once you've been shutdown by Chase they may use it in the future as a reason to deny you cards. I'm not sure there is any conclusive guideline on when you can apply again. u/cuvervic on r/churning and their P2 were both shutdown in 2016. They both attempted an application last week using the leaked/manipulated links and both were denied and provided the following reason:

Dear XXX:
We reviewed your recent application for a new CHASE SAPPHIRE Visa Signature account, but we did not approve it because:
A prior credit card or deposit account was closed by Chase
If you have questions, please call us at 1-800-290-1316; we accept operator relay calls. We are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
Sincerely,
Card Services

Moral of the story...don't get shutdown... haha!

Yikes, this gave me a heart attack. I got an email that looked just like this today, minus the word Closed, and deleted it because it looked like Spam. It appears it was just them adding a notice that they decreased a credit line per my request. Ok, breathing better now.

Sorry to have caused such panic!! LOL!
