I did now! I cancelled our order from earlier. They charged us like $260. They must’ve had some issues in the system or something. Really their ad was wrong in the first place because it said regularly $350 when it’s normally $380. I did a new order for pickup today from my store and it was only $237!

ETA: I’m wondering if a bunch of people called in mad about them advertising a different price and that’s why they changed it

I did now! I cancelled our order from earlier. They charged us like $260. They must’ve had some issues in the system or something. Really their ad was wrong in the first place because it said regularly $350 when it’s normally $380. I did a new order for pickup today from my store and it was only $237!

Glad you got the stroller/carseat! I was going to post to make sure you saw the lower price but others beat me to it. I was mostly disappointed by the sale but did get some Rubbermaid food storage that I needed.

I’m very happy @bernina told me! Otherwise we would’ve just paid the higher price. We saw some glass storage containers we want but I don’t see them online. I guess we’ll have to get them in the store

And while all of you are Black Friday/advance BF shopping, I've been wasting hours of my life trying to book a standard view BWV studio for next October/November 2020.

It didn't go well. I refreshed right as it passed 1 second to 8am and got in. But, I didn't get it. I was locked out before I completed the reservation, which I didn't quite understand. Checked Boardwalk view and was locked out of that also at about 8:02. So I created a waitlist and will try again tomorrow, and every day until Nov 6th, which is the last day of my annual pass. I did have the chance earlier last week to 'walk' this reservation and now know I should have. Live and learn, but in 19 years of booking DVC I've never had to walk that same room/time frame as I've always gotten it. I was looking for 10 nights and would have had to book twice anyway to get all 10. It will be much easier for my Jan/Feb vacation in 2021.

Meanwhile I can book 4 nights at BCV and as many nights as I want in Garden view. So not really that bad. I haven't booked either yet as I'm going to try at least 5 more times in the next five days.

In other news I was able to add another night to Hilton Head in March making it 5 nights in a 2 bedroom at the Disney resort there. Hopefully it doesn't rain the entire time. I'd prefer to do April or May but it's the girl's spring break and it's just a fun place with little kids.
Four nights in a one bedroom showed up also and I was tempted to save points, but it is only 4 points difference between a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom, so I stayed with a 2 bedroom.

I don’t really like turkey either! I’ll tolerate a small amount but the meal for me is all about the other stuff!

That's hubby's family "It's all about the sides" is literally their mantra. They'd get a 20 lbs turkey for 16 people and eat it all weekend (3 nights plus a little left for turkey soup). The one year I counted 4 different types of stuffing, another year there were enough pies for each adult to have one for themselves (they were eating pie for breakfast just to make a dent in it. It's fruit right?). Plus we celebrate a couple birthdays so there's a cake too. (Couldn't sell putting a candle in one of the pies)
After all these years I'm still not sure how they always manage to fit it all on the table.

OTOH my fam would do a 20lbs turkey for 6 And sometimes Mom would go crazy and go bigger, I think the record was 26 lbs? She did agree that it was too big but not because of the amount - she didn't like the cook on it so she agreed we should stick with a smaller bird. We cook for a small army but we like leftovers. This would be a travesty in our house -

People were walking and each day I was shut out of the first day that I could book, so I couldn't book anything. Every day that day would open up and the walkers cancelled their front days. So I had to book each day, but I did get my full stay at 11 months minus one day LOL.

Unfortunately, the nights are missing going back more than a week. People want that Halloween night as part of their trip so they are now keeping the nights booked. I really only want 28, 29 at BCV and 30,31,1,2,3,4,5,6 at BWV, so if I'm quick fingered enough in the next 1-3 days I'll be good to go. And yikes! Glad you posted - I probably need to walk BCV right now - it could drop just as quickly tomorrow with those wanting the 31st.

Yup. Check back each day and pick them up as they get dropped. We won’t be doing our annual fall trip next year, but I’m hoping we’ll have luck in 2021. I know that’ll be a tough year but hopefully the walking will continue to be a self fulfilling prophecy.

I walked to get our trip this fall (Nov 2-10, so a very tough weekend to start) but then I watched and each day came up as others continued walking. With an October use year, I don’t have much time to get a walk started and I know it’s getting harder as more people walk. But as long as there are some walking past to later dates, you’ve got a shot.

And, I locked in BCV for the 27 through Halloween which is a Saturday night in October 2020. I think Halloween being on a weekend is a small part of the problem. I don't have enough BCV points to do more nights, but if I don't get some BW studio nights in standard I can always do garden. Or maybe even a 1 bedroom standard. I really like to stretch these BW nights so I can do as I've done this year - 4 trips between Nov 2019 and March 2020 - shortest being 5 nights at HH. Later in November is not too bad either so long as I get 3-4 park days out of my annual pass, although I would prefer to go 27-6 and have all my nights available as park nights.
