So I am FUMING at Chase right now. Long story shorter, I ordered a Grill from Sears and the first one arrived very damaged so I declined delivery and asked the replacement be delivered in box. Next one arrived at 8PM and the guy was in a huge rush to leave so was gone before I opened it and it had a bunch of damaged parts, one thermocouple was cut and some other issues. Called Sears and they told me to call Kenmore, called them and they had me call another number, finally they got a list of the parts and were supposed to send them out. I received half of them and am expected to take apart the whole grill myself to replace them, like a 4hr job. So I called and they want me to return it to a store but we don't have any now. They were also supposed to give me $300 in points back but their IT dept cannot figure out my account so I have not received a single dollar. They wont assist me any more so I filed a dispute with Chase. They took my info and filed it... Sears responded with their normal return policy and so Chase asked for more info. I responded again to it and now two weeks later I get ONE call that left a VM as I was driving. When I got to where I was going FIVE mins later I called back and the lady says they reversed the dispute and placed the charge back on my card. ARGH! Really five mins you could not wait for an answer, and all she wanted was clarity in what I responded with. I am beyond mad. She wants me to go to a branch to file a second dispute since I cannot do it on the phone or by SM this time since it was already reversed. ARGH!
My experience with Chase with disputes hasn't been good. The denied legit charges on my Disney Visa in Europe due to suspected fraud, and then when there was actually a fraud charge from a hotel in Europe it took months to get it taken off. I'm not sure why I was using that card internationally since it has foreign transaction fees. It was our first trip overseas and I wasn't really into credit cards at that time. I can sympathize with you.

@DaveL My experience with disputing a charge with Chase also has been poor. I had to dispute a charge a couple of years ago. The company (Budget rental cars) was very much in the wrong (super long story so won't detail that) but we rented the car through Priceline. It took MONTHS of me sending Chase documentation and calling them constantly. They initially reversed the charge but in the end, sided with Priceline/Budget. I was so furious I could have chewed up nails and spit out a barbed wire fence. It took everything in me not to cancel every Chase card we have. I do hope yours ends better.

Catching up a bit but wanted to chime in with a happy birthday for all of those in these couple of weeks. Mine is a week from Sunday. I’m treating myself to an early bday present by heading to the world this Friday to participate in the Wine and Dine 10k. I say participate instead of run because it’s gonna be kind of ugly. I did about 7 runDisney events pre-cancer but really can’t run now due to after effects. But I wanted to do this to say I made it and can do it, so by golly I’m going to walk and/or shuffle my way through it and hope the balloon ladies don’t catch me 😀. Now let’s hope for good weather!!

On the churning front, I had a massive brain fart today. I’ve been working on the SW biz performance MSR and had to make a $750 payment today. Well I had gotten my old chase disney card out of the sock drawer to take with me to Orlando for the store discounts, and I accidentally used that one instead of my SW card! The good news is that the business I paid was nice enough to refund the charge and I paid them again with the SW card. Crisis averted!:sunny:
Congrats on making it thru treatment. Have fun! Finishing is great no matter how you get there.
We are a split family 😡 I hate the hawks
They’re sucking this year too. 😩
I told Dh I hope none of our kids want to play football. Dh got a huge knee injury from football in sixth grade and had a third of his knee taken out. My cousin got a concussion in high school.
DS is not allowed to play football. Soccer is ok but so many injuries from football, especially brain injuries. Even in soccer I know of quite a few friends with injuries but the numbers in football are just too high for me.

So, my dd that is headed to the DCP had to change her check in date. She went from the tuesday after MLK day in Jan to Feb 3. I can't figure out what is up. Flights were cheaper around MLK than they are in early Feb and there is very little in the way of resort availability for early Feb. WHat is going on at that time?? Couldn't really find much for dvc from late Jan through mid Feb. All the values are gone for the dates I need. I think I'm gonna stay off site at this point and I'm really okay with that (I think...) but confused why things are so booked up.

My oldest son broke both wrists playing soccer. The first was during the first few weeks of the season (travel soccer) so he was out all season. When he went back he played much more conservatively, something had changed during that down time. He decided he was no longer pursuing college soccer and moved down to rec, second season there he broke the other wrist. When he was much younger he had wanted to play football, but I kind of pushed that away and nudged more soccer on him. I miss watching him play.

Yeah the hawks and jets are both bad this year. We have practically no defense. It’s horrible.

I’m gonna strongly encourage our kids to play something else. There are so many other options

@snugglebug @Artygal90 How y'all holding up?? My heart can't take this!

Very poorly

I'm actually not even watching. Yesterday was so stressful that when I got home from choir tonight I immediately got into PJs, snuggled up under a blanket, ate some ice cream and am planning my Universal trip for two weeks from now. I have a tab open with the score and I check it every once in a while, and I might pull up a livestream for the last couple innings. I just get so anxious watching live. Let's hope our guys turn it around! (but hey if the Nationals win we can be happy for @afan !)

My dh and dd want to turn it off but I keep hoping for a miracle

So good news - I'm feeling substantially better! I dealt with a painful headache today but NOT related to my previous sinus issue so I'm good to go now! Still having a busy week at work so I've been quiet. (3 Loan closings in one week...things are going well on that front)

Saturday...We are headed to Universal!!! :D :D :D

My wife is having a good week so far. She was a little upset this evening but took her medicine and was able to get through packing and even spoke about how she's excited to ride E.T. :D

Of course I'm also REALLY excited about the FUTURE ROCK STAR SUITE that I had shared with you all earlier this year! So...I've been quiet, probably will be busy at work and quiet the next couple of days...and then headed to Orlando, lol! You'll have to carry on with out me, LOL!

Oh - other exciting news, WPIAL Football Playoffs start Friday! Another Strong season for my SF Lions (9-1) and I'm attending my 52nd consecutive game on Friday. (Yeah...we planned to fly out Saturday around the football game Friday). Also on that note, my parents are staying in FL and heading to Disney on Tues-Fri but flying back Friday around lunchtime to hopefully make a 2nd round playoff game... (we better win Friday!!)

Is that super bowl weekend? No idea where it is this year. Or pro bowl which I think is back in orlando again. Not sure the sb would affect it as much.

I should have been lights out 45 min ago...

Oh awesome, seems like lots of choices! I’ll probably be full from the meals but I’m sure Dh will like having snacks whenever he wants one. Do you get most of those by the pool?

Just wanted to add that room service is also included for the most part. There is a charge for things like candy and soda through room service, but the food is included. Oh, and those little treats at the Cove Cafe are also included even though the lattes are not. And there is snack food in the adult clubs if you want a late night snack. Most of the things like burgers, wraps, pizza and soft serve ice cream are up on the pool deck. I hope you have a fantastic cruise. I don't think you'll go hungry while on the ship.

Thank you! We are so excited and also have no idea what to expect with it being our first cruise. Dh told me he’s gonna bring some of his books he bought at the library sale. I was shocked because he doesn’t ever want to read. I think he’s really planning on sitting and relaxing which he needs so it should be fun

If I'm remembering right, it was that way when I tried to pay my first JB Biz bill from my bank. But, I think the following payments went electronically.
Hmm this is good to know. I originally only sent one $5 payment and I am still confused at how it applied to my account. Made a payment to the largest credit line and am hoping to see $0 in the near future. Once I meet the MSR I may switch back to paying from my actual bank!

I need people to chime in on whether it's worth it haha. I really wanted to do VAH this past summer and even want so far as to price some flights, but I guess I just never paid attention to the actual cost of the tickets. I do really like the villains theme and DH is a biiiiig Hercules fan, so I feel like he would enjoy the stage show. It would have to be something that's less crowded than the parties though, because both MNSSHP and MVMCP were both PACKED and I'm not willing to shell out for that level of crowds again.
I completely reworked 3 days of my spring trip and moved ADRs around to accommodate VAH. I was ok with either MK AH on a Monday or a Thursday and WDW decided to throw it on Fridays. SMH. At least I can leisurely stroll around MK with less crowds in a cooler temp. The night owl in me is very pleased!
