Yes, I have money moved automatically from my checking to an online savings account every month, so that when taxes are due, I have the funds to pay them. I usually put in just a bit more to be safe,and I adjust every year when my taxes go up. If you get them to let you not escrow, you will get all the money they have, back in a check.

Good to know. I may need to look into this. Like I said, I don't see why they need to have such a large chunk tied up "just in case". Grrrr! And I have so many bank accounts w/ Chase, I can easily transfer to one of them to hold the money. I may need to contact them and set this up!

We are going to wdw in Dec. My mom & stepdad are going too. They only want 2-day tix and a party ticket. They have booked WBC for their stay. I used discounted GC's to buy their 2-day tix direct from Disney. I only received a conf# and 'will call' option. No number to put into MDE. I added them to MDE so I can manage their plans but they don't show as having tickets since there is no number to put in. They are now considering an onsite stay. If they do decide to be onsite and I can book their FP's before 30 days, how do I get their tickets to show up in MDE?

They've always bought their tickets from UCT, who emails a ticket number....I don't understand why Disney doesn't do this...

Our confirmation email had the ticket actually in the email itself - the bar code and alphanumeric code were included as an image, which I could just see when I loaded the images in the browser. If you just see 'will call,' maybe you could call and get that changed?

I had an amex offer for 10% off an insurance bill up to $10. I owe Geico $200 for adding DD's car. Was hoping the kids also had the offer and I'd split the payment but only I had it.

Was that the total cost to add your dd's car? Maybe we should switch because we pay an obscene amount for dd's insurance.

For all those that don't escrow. Do you put away money yourself then for all of those bills? My mortgage payment keeps going up thanks to escrow. They "need" to have a $1500 balance in the account at all times. Well, single mom here, I'd like that $1500! The only perk of course is that I am not scrambling to find the money come tax times, since it's automatically taken out each month. But I don't like that my monthly payment keeps going up. Grrrrr!

I refuse to allow the bank to escrow our taxes. I just put the money aside each month and pay them "early" (which gives a 3% discount) every year. Property insurance is paid 4 times per year (and they take cc payments).

This weekend was my friends annual Halloween party. Back in 2016, I started Contrave (it's a drug) and managed to lose 70lbs. When the fiance dumped me in Jan, I managed to drop to 75lbs loss total (I had gained about 10lbs....so it was a 15lbs loss at the time). I found out the ex suddenly got married at the end of September to the girl he started to date after me. She's 8 years younger than me (I'm 10 years older than him), but she looks 15 years older than me, LOL. I know he's not happy, he's gained a bunch of weight and everyone (my friends) was commenting how bad he looks in his "wedding" photos. He's not smiling, etc.

Anyways, yesterday I turned 43.....And it was great to put this photo on my FB to show just how far I have come! I know the ex is probably jealous AF, (he stalks my FB several times a day) so it's also nice to rub it in, LOL. Now if I could just find a flipping guy! UGH, online dating (or dating at all) really sucks! LOL.

That was a pro-rated total (I think 5 of 6 months) for her car. But she isn’t on my policy yet because she won’t get her license for 46 more days.

Thank you! And happy early birthday! Dating sucks hard core. I've once again given up on apps and stuff. We'll see what happens. As for the ex, I think we would have been great together and he'd be in a much better place (emotionally, physically, etc). It came down to him feeling like he had to pick me or his parents (who he fights with like crazy)....he chose mama. We joke that mama likely was the one to propose. From the looks of the photos, he looks like he was forced to be there, LOL.

I know things changed early in the year with the CRS's Priority Pass access, What are the rules now for Guest Adult/Child access? Trying to decide if its worth upgrading my CSR to use it on this June's trip but I would need to be able to bring DW & DD in too but I think now its one guest adult or child?

I've thought about seeing if I could stop escrow before but have never actually done it. My escrow just got reconfigured and I'll have my new $40 higher payment come out on Friday. I honestly should see about just handling it all myself since last year my mortgage company screwed up and somehow paid $5 less than my homeowner's premium, which resulted in me getting a scary early morning email from the insurance company saying my policy was going to be canceled!

Not a JetBlue person here (honestly not even sure they fly out if PHL since I don't recall ever seeing them pop up in a flight search) but based on the upvotes assume this is a change to their Vacation package policy. Sorry if it's well known already!

With the JetBlue Biz and Plus CC I believe you get an annual $100 statement credit towards a vacation package booking. Looks like you can just book a hotel for part of your stay to get the reduced package flight price and trigger the statement credit.

I know this was one of the reasons I've never done it with Southwest as I think you have to have the same check in/out dates with the hotel or rental car so I never managed to make it work for me ( we usually do the hotels on points and rarely have a rental car for our full stay). This seems like an interesting option to keep in mind for JetBlue CC holders when pricing out flights to use up that statement credit benefit.

Thanks for this, that's great to know since I just got my Jetblue biz in the mail and was trying to figure out how to use this credit. I guess you'd just have the hotel room as a throwaway night and wouldn't actually stay?

I just got bill for adding DS and no car. $282 but that only goes through December. We pay yearly every January. Yuck.

Oh Great! I recall they limited the number but was not sure what it went down to. The first time we were at MCO they wanted my card AND DW's card and ran them both, they must get a higher reimbursement back running two primary instead of adding her as my guest, so we almost didn't go the second time since we canceled her card but they let us all in.

Look into Capital one savings accounts. Easy to electronic transfer and for balances over $10,000, they currently earn 1.9%.
