I thought I had saved the VGC deal at Acme on our second J4U account but I don't see it anymore. Do they pull these offers early? Or maybe when a certain number of offers are saved?

Not sure if they pull them early for those who haven’t added it, but if you have the coupon saved to your account it should still be there.

Has anyone here booked a European River Cruise using URs? I don't even know if that's possible.

I'm thinking of suggesting it to my parents but I want to make sure it's even possible first. (They talk about wanting to go to Europe but they're never going to actually do it without a, uh... guiding hand in the "make it nice and free-ish" department and a nice chill river cruise might really be enjoyable to them as they have to take it easier in their travels these days.) I'm thinking of offering to help them churn their way to biz class flights there and back if they can use their stash of Chase URs (they have a CSR so 1.5x) towards to the cruise...

That is what my DH did a few weeks back. They wouldn't let him PC to a CF, so he went with a CFU which was an option I figure we can PC again later if/when there is a 5% category that we want to max out.

WOW, why is this backpack so rare? Disney really needs to figure out its merchandise. DL's version has been open enough to determine supply and demand. Can you imagine all the lost profit on people wanting a $39.99 up-charge? Instead of gouging people left and right on everything else, just give them what they actually want . Fortunately we are all AP holders and will make multiple trips and can pick one up once it is in stock. That is not an option for the primary WDW guest!

Lol it makes lots of sounds without a personality chip! The personality chips just have different sounds and I thought they all sounded kind of weird.

I agree about the backpack. They could’ve made so much money during the AP previews. I would’ve bought the Spira gc too but those were out of stock as well

I think Amazon is my oldest card. And we use it a lot, i'm good with 5% back on amazon, we spend a lot of money there. That's the only place I use it though. I have to admit, I've been tempted by the starbucks card. All those stars. And I don't even drink Starbucks But DH and DD do. If there were no annual fee, I'm sure we'd have it. We mostly own Apple products, but no temptation on the apple card. I don't see the appeal. DD did mention the other day that I should get one.

I could have written this lol! We do have the Amazon card but we've had it forever. It's our oldest card as well and we use it on Amazon unless we have a MR or UR promo or I have amazon GCs. We spend tons on amazon so 5% back is pretty nice.

I'm also tempted by the starbucks card but I only actually drink starbucks at WDW. Seriously, I won't go there normally cause it's too pricey and we have other local coffee shops here I'd rather support if I'm going to overpay for coffee. But I just want all those stars from getting that CC!

Has anyone here used a resume coaching/writing service? A young adult in my life is extremely frustrated with their current job situation and isn't getting any responses from companies after submitting applications.

Checking out flights for DH for RIC to Sarasota for January. Allegiant has a flight that is literally HALF the cost of other flights, nonstop, and has better departure/arrival times. Do I roll the dice on it? Maybe pay with his CSP so if it gets delayed/canceled, insurance will kick in to put him on another flight if there's a problem?

We booked allegiant flights for Christmas and my parents just flew out with them today. They even got to board early and are leaving early. I would for sure go for it if it’s cheaper and nonstop.

I don't know for sure, but I do know that after I redeemed my $100 offers at the first Safeway, it was still showing at my second Safeway where I redeemed the $50 offer. (Did this to see if both Safeway's would take the credit card since I had been refused at a different Safeway.)

So did she have to file with the courts? I'd like to ditch my middle name, its not a family name, and I couldn't tell you the last time I used it for anything.

She didn't. Because she was married so long ago, her maiden name was still listed on her county recorded marriage certificate, making it a legal name. I'm going to pop down to the county office that assists with passports here in my county and see what it would take to get my maiden name listed on it and reissued.

In other news, my dryer is no longer drying properly. It shuts off within minutes in any cycle setting, so now I have to spend the afternoon troubleshooting

Sounds like it's overheating. I've fixed a friends by removing all the lint from underneath her filter and from the vent tube thingy that goes to the outside. And I have a free one in my basement that still works......A year ago I bought a new set and kept the working dryer to either give away or put on CL.

I would probably book the flight you want now. I wouldn't bank on the ability to change later in case something doesn't work out.

If you want to get really sneaky and you have lots of points, you could also book the cheapest flight you can find but 3-4 days later than your actual flight. SW won't cancel it because it won't trigger in their system as a duplicate. Then if the change loophole opens up, you could modify that flight to the one you wanted and cancel the original.

Now that I've typed this out...I'm thinking about doing that myself LOL!!!

Always good to recheck occasionally as things change, but it's highly unlikely to get a PC through SM. You'll most likely have to call to complete that.

I think they switched so they have on record you agreeing to some T&C that they read off. Not sure what happens to the SM system on the back end but they only stay available to us for so many months. If they're obliterated totally at that point then there is no record of agreement, which they wouldn't want. I think it's been over a year at this point that anyone has been able to use SM to do a PC for Chase. We'll await his response

The offer doesn't disappear immediately after redemption, but it also doesn't trigger again if it was a one time use. There's a lag on the app of some hours. For sure by the next day it'll be removed.

@LuckyMamaInDE I think we've seen that a coupon could be valid for a couple weeks but if it wasn't clipped during the first week it may disappear. Our Acme's run Fri to Thu and I try to clip before Thursday if I think I might use it at all. I have had coupons disappear that weren't clipped, but none that were clipped have disappeared early.

Other than the last couple weeks when there were a bunch of delays from storms, it was pretty solid. And DH would be fine either any delays during this trip as long as they get him there eventually. Even checking a bag, it comes out to $40 less than the next cheapest flight with a connection.

We regularly pick frontier or allegiant because they tend to be the only two that fly nonstop to our preferred airports in Iowa

We upgraded to annual passes on our Disney trip last week and now the msr is done on DHs cip 2

I’m basically out of southwest points and I need more. Can’t decide if I get the new southwest preferred biz card or cip 3 for myself. I could transfer ur to rr, and then have more flexibility if I don’t need all of them. But if I get the sw card, I could get cip 3 later and use those points for something else. Probably on offsite Disney hotel at Easter via the portal because Disney prices are absurd. $225 a night for pop? No thanks.
