I don't have the Costco card, but I was under the impression that if the charge categorized as travel it would get the 3%... and I thought both a room and package from Disney would categorize as travel? I thought only tickets/some prepaid dining options did not come through as travel.

You may be right! I know tickets don't code travel, but if it's a vacation package it might. Best option would be to put $10 down and see what it codes when it posts.

I got emails last night also re changes to our SW flights in November. Both relatively minor time changes. One of them is better than our original time, but coming home the time they changed us to is just too late. Going to have to call and have them put us on an earlier afternoon flight.

About the stupid Apple credit card. My husband works at an Apple Store. He asked me what I've been hearing about the card. I told him it's a joke and please do not encourage customers to get it. At least they're not forcing the employees to push it. Yet. My husband knows better. But a lot of his coworkers signed up and are really excited about it. Boasting about their APRs. I just laugh. And my husband also knows APR doesn't matter to anyone who pays in full anyway. Good times!

In all seriousness I could see Apple releasing an iPhone case with a special slot specifically "engineered" for the Apple Card and announcing it during the next iPhone event. I think that event is rumored to be 9/10.

I’m the type that goes to Hawaii and won’t pay $10 more for an ocean view because I’ll see the ocean the whole time I’m there. So I’m by far the wrong person to ask.

This morning I saw a banner announcement on my Amex login that there is an offer to get a $25 statement credit if I spend $25 at a Marriott property by Nov 30. It was a congratulatory offer for my first year with the card (I upgraded last September). It requires enrollment by Oct 15.

I've already used my Amex offer for the $40 off $200, but I wonder if it would stack. The T&C say gift cards don't count, but those terms are on the Amex offers and they seem to work anyway IME.

Our flight from MSY to LAX for our DL trip in November was changed from a 6 PM departure to 8:50 AM. No way we can do that. Ugh. There were already not may flights available to begin with when I booked these. Off to see what's available now.

I would just piggyback on this and say that when we went to Zilara Jamaica we enjoyed our Suite room (that was a simlilar upgrade cost) with higher up views than the swim up rooms which were obviously on the first floor.

There’s an offer on P2’s Amex plat this morning to get a 1500 MR bonus for spending $2500 by November something, up to 3x. Seems like kind of a paltry bonus for spending that much but if I can stack it with other offers and also considering the spend we’d do to keep the RAT happy anyway...Maybe we’ll get in one round on that offer before PCing this fall.

Yea! I finally see my 1st support link UR's pending. They took 3 weeks to post. I'm on week 2 of my send support so perhaps next week they will show.

I'm still waiting for my CIP2 to arrive in the mail. I'll make the spend pretty quick since I need to pay down on our vacation for next year, so that will be a quick meet.

I can't even check my Amex account as once I get in, there are error messages and no info. I've got 3 nights booked at 3 different properties right now, so it would not be a problem.

And, just booked the Fenway for a night in November during my Disney visit. It's a Saturday night, still during food and wine and I did find a room at Disney, but I'm not really happy with it, so I think I'll ditch it and go to the Fenway. Used a free night cert and I have 3 more coming by the end of the year, so might even grab a second night if I like it and want to add another night. (Can always adjust my dvc trip last minute and use holding points in February, maybe.
@DisneyMandC is also trying this hotel soon, either September or December? Read all the reviews and expect a noisy room (old and renovated hotel) but can live with that.

Question for Marriott members: Have they rolled out gift card use to the SPG properties yet? Bought one with my $40 off offer and manager said it was the first one sold in a couple of years. She said they get all excited when someone uses one because they have to pull out the manual on how to use it. She did have an updated design that she said they very recently received and offered me a couple of choices.
