It was probably a safety risk….They really should have kept the pathway open for guests to walk back and forth to MK!

Yeah electrical fires are wicked dangerous. It was probably a safety risk….
Maybe - but leaving paths open to escape the GF and go to MK seems safer than everybody being stuck at the resort...It was probably a safety risk….
From the photos I saw of the location of the monorail, it was probably sitting right over the walking path or at least close enough that the fire department needed the room.Maybe - but leaving paths open to escape the GF and go to MK seems safer than everybody being stuck at the resort...
You can’t take a boat or walk over to Poly to the TCC for the boat there?Maybe - but leaving paths open to escape the GF and go to MK seems safer than everybody being stuck at the resort...
You can’t take a boat or walk over to Poly to the TCC for the boat there?
That would have been my go to because the ferry at the TTC is such a big boat & can move lots of people v. the much smaller gold flag GF/Poly resort boats, although it is a bit of a hike to get to the TTC from the GF.You can’t take a boat or walk over to Poly to the TCC for the boat there?
By all accounts, the boats and ferry were completely swamped. You can’t take a boat or walk over to Poly to the TCC for the boat there?
The boat launches were completely overwhelmed, which is why we gave up and went back to our room.
That being said, I would never want Disney to put any guest or emergency worker at risk. It just took a surprisingly long time to resolve the situation.
And like I said in my initial post: I really think Disney should put up signs at the GF entrances that the monorail is out of service, so people can know without having to trek up to the second floor to check each time. Because it was out long after the silver monorail had been towed away. (Also, there should be something in the MDE app as well!)
So?By all accounts, the boats and ferry were completely swamped.
They are not all gone. I’m here now. Only a small section of chairs were removed, I assume, to make it easier for those who do not have a seat, to order. In person, it is not tight at all. I do not see any issue at all with space.Yes it does! But one thing I noticed, looks like the chairs at the bar between the tree and the counter are gone. Guess they determined it was too tight.
