I love that you planned a meet for solo travelers and will also see @wendow in person. So nice how the DIS brings people together! :grouphug:

There's 9 of us. Really I just wanted to eat breakfast there because I haven't and cancelled my solo breakfast there last trip because characters alone just didn't seem as fun. There's a lot of different unofficial planned stuff and then some of us that are just meeting up for stuff like emh or VAH. But I know I'll do a lot on my own too. I'm a slight extrovert with a big side of introvert so I know I'll need to get away since it's not a friend. This is all still good but not the same as traveling with someone you already know.

For those looking for the insurance Amex offer, it just showed up on my Bonvoy Biz. I probably checked for it 3 times today. Went in to make a payment tonight and there it is.

Thanks! I agree. I had forgotten that the CSP was back to 60K, so thinking they were the same the CSR seemed like the better deal. But now I'm leaning towards the CSP. I figured that running it through this group would help make sure I wasn't missing something. :)

That's what my DH is saying, even though I can pretty much wipe out the spend on an upcoming trip (so will get 3x I think). He says it's more work to do the whole double dip thing on the travel credit. In the end, with the math we did, the difference is 500 points, which really isn't worth much. But the CSP would definitely be easier, even though I'll only learn 2x points on that upcoming trip (and that, plus the credits and AFs were put into the calculations).
First thought...Take the points - go for CSP. IF you have a CF or a CFU you can easily upgrade that to a CSR and double dip the TC anytime you want...

Second thought...why aren't you doing a MDD? :P

Thought about it, but don't want to rock the boat. Plus that would be 2 MSRs on top of the Hilton Biz that DH just got in the mail. A bit too much for us right now. I don't want to get on the wrong side of Chase at this point. ;) I don't have a CF but hope to get one at some point (probably will PC this one down to it). Also, I really don't want to be at 5/24 and locked in for more than a year.

ETA - This is us "slowing down" which is pretty ironic since before July of 2018 we didn't really have more than a few cards. :rotfl:

Appreciate the people that upgraded so I was able to move up one row to the window exit row. Yes I'll take a little more room and so far the rows empty.

But where's my tsa precheck on my boarding pass, ugh. My nexxus number is there, not happy if I have to line up with the peasants tomorrow night. Bad enough I have to sit with them at the gate.

ETA I put the wrong number in and I'm not even sure where the number came from that I used. So if I'm with the peasants it's all my fault. Oiy.

I could use some Chase advice. My plan was to get the CSP when the CIP stuff came up, so I got that one instead.

I was all set to get the CSR tonight when I realized that the CSP would give me 60k URs (instead of 50k) + DH would get 15K URs for referring me. So, is there any compelling reason to get the CSR? I already have Global, but could double dip the $300 travel credit, and would get 3x on my upcoming spend (instead of the 2x the CSP gives on travel). On top of that, DH doesn't have his CSP anymore so his link won't work for long.

Anyone want to advise me?

ETA- we did the math taking into account the annual fees, travel credits, etc. and it looks like a wash.
I regret not getting the csr over the cp. The 3 points for travell would have more then man made up for the 55 dollars extra AF when you subtract the travel credit. We spend 10K to 15k on cruises each year. It really depends on how much you spend on travel. Most of our disposable income goes toward hotel and cruises.

Woo! Rechecked in through the app and added my correct nexus number and got precheck! Also updating my spreadsheet so I don't make that goof again.

Weird though, it doesn't give the screen to update it on the website check in but it does on the app. So totally weird.

This poster already has a CSR though through their spouse. So this was more a comparison of 75,000 URs (w/ lower AF) vs 50,000 URs (w/ higher AF) once you factor in the P2=>P1 support click.

Thanks for sharing. Since my DH already has the CSR I decided it made more sense to just go for the CSP.

My parking fee in San Diego DID code at 3x for the CIP! Also, I was pleasantly surprised that fuel at Sam's Club counted as a gas station for the CF. For some reason I was thinking they excluded the warehouse store fuel centers.

Sadly, CIP#2 hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Hoping for tomorrow.

I am. I'm excited. I'm going to Ryno's event at the taphouse Wed and then a couple of us are taking a minnie van to mk for our 7dmt fps and EMH. I planned an unofficial event for solo travelers so there's a group of us doing Soarin and then breakfast at GG Thursday. There's the pandora party sat and the podcast taping sun. I'm trying to fit in some lasts too before stuff goes away but I'll just miss the movie in canada and soak it all in since I'm not planning a wdw trip until 2022. Oh and I'm meeting up with @wendow Wednesday morning too :)

Wow, Ryno and Wendow in one trip? Now I'm super jealous! He's my favorite from the podcasts, he's so funny! Sounds like a really great time. I saw Pete filming at the BC when we were there in June, but couldn't talk to him since I didn't want to interrupt. Of course we were going to the pool and I didn't have my phone so I couuldn't take any pics. I did talk to Jackie and she was super nice. I think my DH thought I was crazy when I saw Pete and got so excited. I was like no, you don't understand, he created the Dis! :worship:

I agree it is really cool you planned a meetup for solo travelers. I like how you described the introvert/extrovert. I'm a lot like that too. I hope you have a great time and tell us how it goes!

So, when Plastiq put out that they were going to start enforcing the expiration dates on FFDs... my biz account had $1 credit put on there to reset my expiration, but DHs personal account did not :confused3 At that time my biz account would have had ~30 days left and DHs account 45 days. I guess I'll take it lol, just random.

Also, forgot to look last night, but DHs CIP bonus is pending!

I should have kept reading...I see you got it resolved.
