I forgot to ask, what time of day amd when? I forgot to take into account that CLT gets thunderstorms that could cause a ground stop. Only a problem if you're stuck waiting to land and the other's ready to go.

Also make sure to watch your flights that the times don't change. DL kept changing my flight times last year so I went from the short connection to well over an hour back to the short connection because they changed the time back. I changed the connecting flight 2 or 3 times with no charge and ended up back with what I'd booked. The joys of booking almost a year out.

Wish this wasn't just a f&w thing. All the cute things for it and no summer magnets this year bums me out.

I'm so disappointed they are for f&w too. It's completely not normal for me to be a passholder and I'm trying to soak it in, but we leave WDW the 25th, so will miss the special offerings.

We have the 401k and the IRA maxed and an ok emergency fund so my motto has been spend the rest but I need to open a taxable account and potential 2 529s in mine and SOs name to save for our future child’s education lol. You should be fine with weather in NC then. If they get snow/ice it's generally jan/feb.

If they do a schedule change the airline should be changing them for free, you shouldn't need to spend amy more ur unless you decide to change what you have outside of a schedule change. You just have to call in to AA with your confirmation number for the flights.

Yes, but you could take the long way back and forth from MK using the monorail and buses.
I'm usually not pressed to get to any rides in general so often walk into Epcot then monorail over to MK or vice versa on the return.

Since we will be new, first time PH'ers in a few days, I'm curious how this works? We aren't in those dates for those magnets. Is there a magnet for the peeps going now? Can you get more than one magnet, if you went again during those future dates?

I’m trying to keep track of how long it takes me to liquidate VGCs. For anyone that’s interested I liquidated $4,000 between serve and money orders. I left my apartment at 9:55 and was done at 11:05. I picked up two items from one of the grocery stores though and got a redbox movie. After I went to BBB and Home Depot to exchange my happy cards for Disney Giftcards I was back home at 11:48.

So sad that we won't be there for F&W this year. I got the cutting board last year and I like the Minnie Coasters even better!

I love the new Remy magnet! Did the cutting boards run out pretty fast last year? Since you have to do 4 visits we would have to split it between two weekends most likely

If that is crazy, I was SO crazy last year. I took a bus to EPCOT arriving a few minutes before close just to tap in and leave. The rest of my trips were "organic" as we might say here. I managed to get my cutting board on a 5 day trip with my kid (so less time in EPCOT than an adult only trip for us) and I was pretty proud.

You can only get one magnet per PH for each type, they scan your band. Your whole family would each get a magnet. They usually give them out until they are out, so it's possible they are handing them out past the end date for a bit.

I have started a spreadsheet to track Disney gift cards bought/earned and how much I saved on them. I'm not sure how to set it up though. Does anyone have a sheet for something like that to track that they can share?
My categories are: Store bought from//Gift Card face value//Out of Pocket Spent//Reward Money used//OOP amount saved//Payment used

I feel like it's missing something or it's I'm not categorizing well.
For example I bought a GC from Staples for 51.99, I spent 51.99, but I got back $10 from Amex
So It looks like this Staples /$50/ $51.99 /$10/ $10/ Amex

I also want to add the percentage saved on that GC as a category. What formula do I use?

I do a fairly simple tracking. My main purpose is to see where my "Disney Money" is at a glance and whether I have Virtual Visa to spend or not. I can then later figure percentages if I wanted, I did 2 years ago, but not on this sheet. My goal is $0 out of pocket thanks to Swagbucks and shopping portals. For my Paypal column, the money isn't actually in PP, but I note it as such. It's actually in PNC with my general travel fund. I decided interest earned there goes to general travel, not Disney specific. Other than just keeping a separate acct, I do not note anything for my general travel fund, I just watch the balance grow when I get paid each month.

For cashouts from SW, etc, that's just positive money in. As I spend to buy DGCs, it's just negative money out. I had to simplify this year. In the far right column I note any specials (like Amex offer) or sometimes GC numbers (back in the Target-Ebay-BB days), but I subtract the money spent after the offer. So I bought a $50 DGC from Staples, but when the offer credits I will have only spent $40 so I put -40 in my Paypal column (that will be used to pay the CC)

No out of pocket so far this year! Yay!
(You can see where I noted that I purchased Swagbucks, there was really no gain on my sheet, but my Paypal money needs to reimburse that spend. My husband's and son's Swagbucks accts contribute to this )

I'm a bad person. Just told my cousin's wife we may be in Disney LD weekend, which is when their baby's 1st bday party is...

I'm really not a bad person, I know. This is the one I mentioned a while back here on the thread... We booked our hotel in Feb and she told me about it the end of May, that they would do it that weekend. I'm working on not letting people make me feel bad for things that really shouldn't matter. We are close to this cousin and his wife, but we are not godparents or anything. Then I would feel more obligated. Also they are an 8 hour drive away no matter what, so it's not like it's in town or anything.
