So I can see I PIF on MSR on 7/12- payment due 24th, so closed by 27th (unless I forgot and counting wrong) page still shows due date of 7/24, and promised points for next statement...this seems kind of crazy slooooooow...unless that's how the biz cards work normally?
Business cards don't follow the '3 days after due date' statement close general rule like personal cards do. You could have a different statement date. My CIP closes on the 26th of the month and payments are due on the 20th, so that's 6 days there. My CIC has 7-8 days between payment due and statement close.
Since you are still showing a past date for payment due it sounds like you haven't closed this month's statement yet. I'd look at statements and see what close date you generally have.

My dh has 9 open chase cards, atm - 5 personal and 4 biz. I do feel like I may need to close something before adding another but there is nothing I can close/or am willing to close right now.
why close anything if the CL are low enough overall? I'm curious about this subject since we have a lot, but 3/4 of them are older than 5 years tho

Morning everyone... how long does it take for the CIP to arrive if we don't call to expedite? We need to have our AC repaired and I want to use it to pay, it's our downstairs unit so we've been trying to hold off.

If you are going to South Park you're better off staying near the airport because if you get the right one you wouldn't need to go on the freeway and it'd just be easier. Or there could be one that says it's near the airport but is in South Park.

Are you going to Mooresville at all? If you don't get traffic on 77 it'll be 30-45 min (I can't remember exactly) but if there's traffic you're looking at an hour at least. And I think they are doing road work but I'm not sure what the hours are just that I still see friends posting about it. I worked in Mooresville but I lived to the east in Kannapolis by 85 so it was my n/s freeway of choice until I got to uptown and they crossed over.

When are you going? You are going to the home of Nascar so I'm hoping it's not the charlotte race weekend, though as long as you know where not to go you'll be fine. The only thing I can offer to do is check out a charlotte knights came if they are in town. There's decent nightlife with lots of outdoor places but with it being a Sunday probably not much going on. You guys might enjoy the white water center, you can go kayaking or I think rafting in the man made rapids. It's where the national team does or did train. There's some other stuff there too. I never made it there but I think it'd probably be up your guys alley. There's a top golf. But imo there's really not a lot to do in charlotte as a tourist if you aren't there for something race related, whether it's nascar, nhra or dirt. I know some will disagree with me but there's so much more to do here in Seattle and the surrounding area. If you are up in mooresville there's lazy 5 ranch if you want to see some animals, it's the closest thing to a zoo in the area. Zoo's nice but it's over an hour north east.
Thank you SO MUCH! We might go up to Mooresville on Sunday if dh's friend is free---it's a surprise party so he can't plan anything ahead of time  Other than that, Whitewater Center looks like the perfect activity for us 🚣‍♀️🏄‍♂️🧘‍♀️🧗‍♂️ I remember seeing it mentioned a bit ago and sort of glossed over the location.
:flower3:

Where have you used this particular filter?

I'm 20 pages behind because I spent yesterday on the beach (under an umbrella - no burns) and today at Assateague and Chincoteague.

More Assateague ponies:
The first is my favorite. The second is them swarming me when I was trying to go to the water from the parking lot. They were hoping I had treats (I didn't) but so many people feed them (you can get ticketed) they look for it. The third is in the Bayside Campground, the National Park, and again they are hanging with the campers hoping for stray food and treats. Feeding them encourages them to get closer to humans. They are wild and will kick and bite. They look docile but I've seen their more aggressive behavior. Also in the winter they have to fend for natural food. No apples then.

this brings back memories of our camping trip 10 years ago... my reason why I didn't want to actually touch them (other than the laws) was the ticks and bugs,I've never seen a place so overrun with bugs as that island and campground....we would lie in the tent and look up to see it covered with thousands of crawling ticks...... when we got home we rinsed our gear off thoroughly before packing it away... still it was a great trip and I'd love to go back sometime (this time in a hotel thank you very much)

Thank you, 9 sounds like the perfect number to be at so it looks like I have some catching up to do! :)

Disney will always be my first Chase card. Funny to think I opened it for room discounts, the 10% off merchandise, and to take the special PhotoPass photos in WDW. I never actually used a Disney Visa room discount and ended up with an AP so it is clearly the Chase card with my lowest return :rotfl:
I opened up our (4) disney visas one year (this was before I got into the game for real) b/c we got $200 cash for each bonus and I used it to book the dining plan....ah the good old days.... it was memorable however. Our family still talks about all the steaks and creme brulee that we got sick of :rotfl: I still have them...once in a while we use them for a free photo or whatever,or to save a bit on a dinner.

The Discover IT has a student version and I recommend starting with that, especially if your dc has no credit history. My dd19 got that card about a week after turning 18yo and it's a fantastic starter card. Chase also has a student Freedom card but the Discover is a better card, with 5% rotating categories and a cash back match for the first year.
I was meaning to ask you this question today..... I want to app ds for the CIP - he has a 2-3 year history as AU on one of my freedoms, last year got turned down for discover(???) but got the BoA cashback card and a BCE(accidental app lol) his credit score last I checked was high 700-low 800's.... he currently runs his own part time handyman biz,and dogwalking biz- is there anything I should know or be aware of for his app? It's an actual biz, but no ein. And if he's approved, can we expedite thru sm? or calling.... also looking for thoughts on an AU, I know it doesn't count towards 5/24, but if I get one in my name as AU,will that affect my next CIP app?(in 3 months) Thanks for insights on this.

Tapping into the hive mind for thoughts:

If you had to pick a Mastercard product to put $25K spend on (since Plastiq allows loan payments with MC) - what specific card would you choose? Consider elite status, annual spend bonuses, value of points/miles on 25K spend. I have FFDs to cover it on Plastiq.

The "gold standard" I'm comparing to is the Discover IT Miles card that will earn 3% cash back in the first year, but has no sign up bonus, nor extra perks for reaching high spend.

DH got a new car last night and I want to pay it down asap.

Any suggestions? I was considering the recent Amtrak offer, but being in CO, there's not many options for using Amtrak points here.

My DD21 also just got one. He shouldn't have any problem as long as he uses just First Name/Last Name and his SSN. There should be no problem with you being added as an employee and getting your own CIP later.

Five Citi Biz cards? Idk any master cards that have anything special when you spend 25k. But I'm curious to hear what you are considering.

The last time I used Uber for a ride was at LAX when the wait for a lyft was 18 mins and Uber was 5 mins lol

Uber always seem to be a lot more expensive than lyft from the airport for some odd reason... was $25 on lyft, or $40 on uber.
i tried it the last 2 times i was at LAX... both had the same results...

In vegas though, lyft always more expensive during the day, but at night, uber is a lot more expensive at night.

Can we talk Barclay Aviator Biz card... Is it churnable? I've had it for almost a year, are there any must know before closing the account?

That’s good to know. I don’t think I even compared the price.

Just curious, why are you buying water instead of buying a filtration system to take with you? I have a few different types to choose from depending on where we go.

We used to take one. For years we did that but the last several years we’ve just ordered bottles. Maybe laziness but it just became easier for our family size.

I don't think the study version has the 5% rotating categories. I believe it is 2% on gas and restaurants and 1% everything else. They also give a $20 bonus for good grades (once a year and you have to request it.)
My dd applied for the student and she has rotating categories and the good grade bonus. She got the card in June 2018 so maybe it’s changed??
