Don't quote me... :rotfl:

But last year for HHN tickets I just showed the confirmation numbers at the hotel ticket pick up desk. I didn't even bring the card I had bought them with, because it was a Hilton Biz I was working on MSR when I bought them and was done with before the trip. They may have checked my ID, but I really don't remember doing that, I think I just showed the confirmation email on my phone.
see...I haven't been in a couple of years.... but I prefer the loosey-goosey tickets at Uni over Disney anyday! :rotfl2: For me the stress od planning a Dis vacation is just too much...Uni was always a refreshing break ...just pay,and whatever,go get your tix and keep going. Much less stressful. In the past I never had any pickup problems, ever. super easy.
ETA it's been a while since I did ticket pickup or whatever for the park, but a few years back we used a kiosk at HrH to get our tickets and EP's.... no human involved.

Pending points post at midnight the day your statement closed. It unfortunately sounds like those points are pending for your next statement on 8/24.
that's what i was thinking...but WHYYYYYYYYY I hit MSR two weeks before it closed...... is it b/c it's a biz card that it's so slow? I'm impatient...don't truly need them at this moment but I wantttttt them (cue Willy Wonka music)

Do you see them on your statement? Two weeks does seem like it should have been plenty of time. That stinks if you have to wait another month.

Can someone talk to me about the airline credit on the Hilton Aspire card? It says $250, but for incidental charges. I think some people were previously buying GCs but it sounds like maybe that's not working on that card anymore? If I can use the $250 to actually book flights then I'll go ahead and get the card, but if it's just for checked bags or things like that then it's not worth it since I rarely ever check a bag. Thanks!

Disregard: I figured it out. Looks like this card isn't the best option for me so I think I'm going to go with the Surpass.

Because I was without a MSR I decided to board the train this morning. Instant approval. Choo Choo Not sure exactly how I will use them, still hoping they will help us get to Europe next year. I think I will wait a month then hop DH on board. The only Amex we each have is the SPG biz. I would like to get another Amex. Can anyone remind me which is the best to start with? Mostly because I have stinky offers on my card so I want the chance for more offers! lol

For those who got denied a citi AA biz because you currently have one open, what did your status message and letter say? Did citi call you to ask you questions about your app?

So you were able to use the pay 2 days, get 5 days from the promo and get the 5 day price for an AP upgrade through the UR portal?!
So I did the math and it made the most sense to NOT buy the promo tickets since they upgrade based of the price of a two day ticket. It was cheaper if upgrading to an AP to buy the 5 day ticket with URs and CSR and then upgrade for less oop. If you don’t have a CSR then prob cheaper to buy promo tix and upgrade them but more oop at upgrade time
If you want a little more upscale, you could do the Intercontinental which is a little further down, across the channel from the Seaport District. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the Aquarium. It has cool city views and views out to the Harbor.
That’s a nice one! Right across from the children’s museum!
I am surprised they are moving that quickly since they were quite a few blocks away from the Courtyard when we left on Fri so they are probably going with the flow. I wish I had taken pictures but the beach work is desperately needed since there was so little beachfront there compared to a couple of block south (like 34th St).
We leave aug 14th for a Williamsburg/va beach trip. I hope we are not affected! Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. Any tips??
Hooters, back in their heyday started an airline up and down the east coast (for realz). It was a more expensive operation than they thought. I think it only lasted a couple years. The flight attendants (stewardesses back then) were outfitted like Hooter Girls. Just wondering if anybody ever flew them.
We chills change your name to HOOTER JOHN!! :rotfl2:
I know this one!

I have a confirmation email from Expedia with the following instructions:

Redemption instructions
YOUR TICKET ORDER WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP 48 HOURS AFTER PURCHASE DATE.
THIS IS NOT A VOUCHER!! WILL CALL KIOSK TICKET PICKUP REQUIRED!!

(1) At the entrance of the Universal Orlando theme parks, look to your right for the Will Call Kiosks.
(2) At the kiosk machine, you must swipe a credit card matching the Customer's Last Name listed on this confirmation page for identity verification only.
(3) When the kiosk asks for a phone number, enter the first seven numbers printed in the Supplier
Reference Number field.
(4) When the kiosk asks for a confirmation #, enter the Supplier Reference Number as
printed above and include the suffix beginning with –E.**"

I seem to remember will-call tickets being available in the Royal Pacific Resort lobby, but maybe I hallucinated them? I can report back in 40 days and 20 hours.

EDIT: Just saw your conundrum! Hoping you can get it all worked out!
I should've waited just a few more minutes to book them. I just wanted to handle it and get to bed.... THANK YOU SO MUCH...I wish I had waited to see this.
I think the cc should work. I believe I just needed to insert ANY credit card with my name. I did it in the RPR lobby they have a separate area for park tickets and a little kiosk. You put her name down for one of the names on the actual ticket, right?

Instant approval on the Marriott biz. That was easy. I need another MSR like I need a hole in the head. Does Amex care what kind of spend you put on biz card? Does it look suspicious if your buying groceries and paying off utility bills?
Congrats! Not suspicious, companies have utilities too. No more of a problem than on a personal card

No, you are fine to buy groceries and pay off bills. Just stay away from any gc sites, gc at Staples, and if you buy a gc at the grocery store, add something to the purchase.

Gotcha! Thanks for confirming. I do have a CSR and was thinking it would be a steal to get that promo ticket and upgrade it to an AP in Dec and then have Dec 2019 - Dec 2020 on points and minimal money put out. I don't actually have any Universal plans right now, just FOMO on a great deal 😂

I’ve been reading a bunch of things about the Capital One data breach and wondering why no one here is panicking....and then it hit me. No one likes to apply for Capital One cards in this group. Looks like the most data was for small business cards applied as sole prop with SSN. Boom. That would be me. :badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

I was relieved when I read it was small biz cards. DH was nervous about sending his ID docs for Venture just last week. It would not have been fun to find out his info was compromised less than a week after having to do that!

@Mopedmom1 I hope your back is feeling better soon. :flower3:

As far as authorized drivers..... I thought that no companies were allowing spouses on for free anymore? So Enterprise does??? ETA wow this is good info- I can't believe I forgot this.... but.... do both spouses have to be there at pickup to drive?
I am renting with Enterprise this week for the first time and my husband cannot be there with me at pickup. I called to ask if I could just bring a copy of his license with me (since he will be the "real" driver this weekend) and I was told that a spouse does not have to be there for pickup and is "automatically included." However, this could be an Arizona thing and not necessarily the case in all states. I'm going to call the office back and double check, regardless, because I don't want any issues when I go down there Thursday afternoon.

Looking for advice on a credit card that will allow me to earn points quickly with large sign up bonus that I can turn into points for a trip to Toyko.

I have opened/closed several cards thru the years for SW points and HAwiian Airline points. I am shut out of chase! LOL

I charge around 5k a month on house expenses travel etc. - yes I pay it off in full every month! LOL. So what is a non chase card with a good sign up bonus that will allow me to accumulate points with a large sign up bonus that I can then use on ANA airlines? Thank you!!! :)

I haven’t yet seen anywhere to put “names on tickets”. It’s just a confirmation email right now. Did you do this with URs?

@Artygal90 - did you put names on tickets?

So, if one did wish to purchase those Metabank MCGC at Staples ( I think I read that Staples usually carries them), what is a safe card to use?

You can see what's available without having points. Don't even have to login, just use the Redeem points check box when doing your flight search. It won't make you login until you pick flights and go to checkout. Good way to get a feel for what could be available for when you're ready to book.
Thank you! I will check it out.
