No I don't but to be fair, hubby cooks 80% of the time. He doesn't wear one either. We do own one, it was a gag gift to him but I don't remember him wearing it. I think maybe Mama wore one if she was dressed up for the holidays but I don't really 100% remember that. I even have a picture of her wearing pearls taking a turkey out of the oven in the late 50s/early 60s and she doesn't have one on. I have two brother's who are chefs and they wear one at work but never at home.
My DH is the one that cooks and he does not wear an apron.

I don’t remember anyone in my family wearing one when I was growing up. I don’t own one. I also don’t experience a lot of food mess when I cook that would be helped by one. Even when I was doing a lot of baking and cake decorating, it was just never a major issue. Most messes seem to impact my sleeves from my experiences, so the apron isn’t going to be a big help.

I never wear an apron when I cook, no longer own any.

I used to have several, as it was a requirement at work. I was a waitress in a mom and pop type diner, the owner was a former Mennonite so we wore skirts and aprons. A few Mennonite ladies made them and brought them in to sell quite often. I had them with all kinds of cute patterns, and several for Christmas and other holidays.

No apron, never grew up with people who wore it never really have known people who are serious about it. Generally if an apron is actually given as a gift over my life it's been to men as a gag gift or pure novelty gift mostly related to grilling. Nothing wrong with them though just not really a thing in my life.

I WANTED to say I wear my apron -- I've got several, but, frankly, I don't. I should, and I WANT to be someone who wears an apron. But I'm just not that person.

Maybe a new year's resolution...LOL

I remember my mother wearing an apron at times. Not sure that I have ever worn one. I try not to wear any “good clothes” if something messy is involved. Well, sometimes I remember about the clothing!

I own one but don't wear it. I was at a booth at a craft fair that was selling handmade aprons during a slow time when there was no one else around, so had to converse and make nice with the seller, thus making me feel obligated to buy one so I wouldn't feel guilty for just walking away. It's a cute cupcake print (back from when cupcakes were all the rage) and I think I wore it once.

I do wear an apron when I paint/craft. Acrylics don't come out of fabric. After many years of throwing caution to the wind I finally got some brown paint on my beloved Strawberry Shortcake sweatpants and that scared me straight.

I have a few aprons and tend to wear them when I bake, but I always forget or don't think about it when I'm making dinner (until I splash myself with something  ). So I've gone for 59% or less as I cook more than I bake.

No apron here. Marie will very rarely wear one. My firefighter son, who is like a gourmet chef, especially at the firehouse, does wear one sometimes. This time here for a TV spot.

Some fireman are awesome cooks. I gotta say, my DH is a pretty darn good cook too. Since he was a volunteer firefighter, the guys rarely cooked at the station, since they were on call (the station does have a nice kitchen). The tone would go off, they would come, do their duty and leave. To then come home, the tone would go off again, and on and on it would go - wash, rinse, repeat - LOL!!!

This. I have a couple, and it's not that I never wear one... but I should wear one much more often than I actually do. :rotfl:

I do have a funny (or maybe more of an angry, when you think about it) apron story, though...

I'm told that when I was in kindergarten, they weren't going to give me credit for being able to tie, because I used the "bunny-ears" method instead if the one where you loop around. My mom went to talk to the teacher, and was told it was because I wouldn't be able to tie apron strings behind my back that way. :scared1: ~ She obviously reacted just as you'd expect an enlightened mother in the 1970s to react, and it was no longer an issue. :teeth:

But to this day, even though I eventually learned to tie shoes the other way, I still tie apron strings (when I do wear them) with "bunny ears" just to prove a point.
