I can’t recall where you’re flying out of, but I will warn you that I almost never saw business class availability on JAL from JFK to NRT. I checked for a long time and for a lot of different dates and would see decent first availability, but seldom any business. I made sure I accrued enough miles to book us first both ways if business wasn’t available, and that’s ultimately what I had to do.

All this DVC talk and it holding its value is very interesting. We aren’t interested in DVC, but I certainly agree with everyone that it holds its value. When I worked in divorce law, I would frequently see people come in with timeshares who were arguing with each other over who wanted the timeshare the LEAST. I never saw anyone who actually wanted to keep it. It should be noted that no one owned DVC. I remember leaving one such hearing one time just before my wedding and my judge looked at me and said “here’s some advice: never buy a timeshare. They’re all money pits. Except those Disney ones. They seem to do ok.”

I don't even want to go look. I'm afraid I'd find an excuse to use it. Although, I am toying with the idea of Northern Ireland and Ireland next year so our BA travel together ticket doesn't go to waste. I'd love to go stay at Ashford Castle again and that would be great if this offer was out again at that time.

I just did a 75K for 5K MSR via mailer for my AA Biz #2. I closed AA Biz #1 two days prior via chat.

Is there a secret to getting a mailer?

Current list of AA Business CC Offers:

There are 4 Citi AA Business offers that I know of right now:

• Citi 40k + $200 stmt credit / $2k MSR
• Citi 65k / $4k MSR
• Citi 70k / $4k MSR
• Citi 60k / $3k MSR

Barclays also has one:

• Barclays Up to 75k / $1k MSR (this also requires an employee card and a purchase for the last 10k miles AND you do pay the $95 AF)

I can no longer find a Citi link with the $250 Stmt Credit (RIP the add'l $50)... I also can't find a Citi 75k / $5k link right now. Am I missing any links that anybody is aware of?

FYI: 75k / $5k is still available via Citi Mailer if you can get you hands on one of those.

Also worth noting that there are still VERY mixed DPs on using a public offer for Citi Biz # 2 and beyond. You might get your points...you might not...

No secret that I know of. Just lucky I guess. They never come in my name. I wonder if it’s because I opened a Barclay AA biz card last year.

Congrats! So exciting. We talk about DVC every time we go. I wish we would have just bought it when we first talked about it years ago. One issue we feel is the amount of points we would need. We need a 2 bedroom (I'm assuming you do to) and it feels like such a big decision for that amount of points.

I definitely understand the needing a two bedrooms. Part of the beauty of owning dvc is that two bedrooms are not near as pricey on points as by cash. I plan to add on through resale so we can have plenty of points.

DW's grAAvy train just derailed. Applied for her second biz card with a mailer 107 days apart. Denial letter saying the business already has the max number of cards we issue to a business. I called recon and they wouldn't budge and said you can apply within 90 days but they will not approve a second card until 6 months. My mistake may have been not closing the first biz. Bummer.

Interesting I think there is a change in the winds with citi. I also just got denied. Had closed one citi biz but had biz #2 still open.

Oh no, that stinks! DH and I are both on our first. I’ll make sure to close each of ours before applying again. Won’t be able to do that until the end of September for us.

There is definitely something going on. @happ and I both got denied in the last month or two for having open cards, and I've seen a few DP's on reddit recently saying the same thing. Not sure how cancelling the cards and then trying recon would fare - hope @Natgridenergy can let us know....but yes, my advice from a few weeks back for anyone going forward with Citi AA Biz cards is to cancel any ones you already have before trying for another one.

Our house is in Dennisport!
The renters sent a text thanking us for the gift card. I think they were happy with it.

I’m in Dennisport now at my parents’ house and the clean-up in the area has been fast. There are tree trucks all over the place. I think the Red Jacket will be fine. Nice location!

No way. We stayed right near Ryecroft beach and Sundae School. I’ll miss the house but not lugging towels and blankets and cooking!!!

I know, I watched some of them They just weren't as good to me because they were dealing with the same issues but it wasn't as "shocking" because it's stuff lots of other shows had covered at that point. In the late 80s early 90s they were dealong weekly with stuff you'd only see on after school specials like drugs, od, suicide, realistic teen pregnancy etc.
