Same for me! Well, actually I was trying to get targeted for the 30 off 60 but the 20% showed this morning. Ordered a screen house for use on my deck and a fire bowl for my patio. My other screen house has some rips and the tape I used looks a little not so nice. My previous fire bowl is still okay but it is not as pretty as the new one I ordered. Okay - I just love outdoor stuff!!! The other day at Costco I bought two of the white leisure line Adirondack chairs cause they were marked to $89 - online they are $149. I have two perfectly good LL Bean chairs from a few years back that are in mint condition because they fold and I rarely take them out of the shed.

The new ones are the poly ones and I hope to just leave them out in a spot I choose as they won't rot - 40 year guarantee.

Which fire bowl? Mine has seen better days and is more of a mosquito magnet than anything.

Oh and while on the subject of showers and bathrooms. Take comfort in the fact that we don’t come across these types of signs at hotels in the US.

This was taken before having had coffee, while concerned about using the right converter so I don’t blow out all the electricity in the hotel. Now I gotta worry about this.

Prepping this weekend for our trip that leaves on Tuesday. Washing clothes, making a packing list, checking the weather - is it really going to rain everyday on our trip?!? I know Seattle is known for rain but I thought it would realize this is my vacation and be sunny.Well that is what the rain jackets are for.

There's a good chance it'll rain somewhere but maybe not where you are or it'll be done in the morning. Look at komo or download their weather app, you'll get a better idea watching than looking at weather.com. we have 2 mtn ranges, a convergence zone or 2 and other things tha make it difficult to know just by looking at a 5 day forecast.

Also we get marine layers so you may not see sun til lunch, may not at all or it could be sunny all day. Pack shorts, pants and layers. Just like with SF don't be that peraon walking around in a city sweatshirt becauae you thought it was summer

Weather's been all over the place last last few weeks and the forecast could change 4 times before tuesday.

Our flight from Glasgow to London Heathrow tonight was cancelled. No other flights out until tomorrow but our flight from London Heathrow back home is early in the morning before any flights from Glasgow would arrive. Thank goodness for Uber. The drive is going to be 6 - 7 hours The Uber driver told us his wife can’t believe he took a fare to Heathrow just to get out of driving his visiting mother in law back home

Both of my kids have travelled separately to California this weekend with their boyfriends. Since they are both adults I am not privy to their exact locations. One is two hours from the Bay area, direction unknown. The other is somewhere near the Nevada border with no cell service. Haven't heard from either.

Picked up two of the no fee VGCs at Staples today. Got $5 back with Dosh, used CIP for one to go towards MSR and DH’s CIC for the other. My Serve card came in yesterday so hopefully tomorrow I can try out loading from the VGC for the first time at Wal Mart!

Thank you both! Right now it looks like only 178 out of Ridgecrest is closed. We’ll be heading East on 190 through Death Valley so won’t get as far south as Ridgecrest. I’m plotting an alternate route from Yosemite to Vegas as a back-up that would avoid the Death Valley stretch and take 95 over to Vegas. Luckily we only have 1 hotel booked on the original route and I believe it has a cancellation policy until 4pm the day before. We leave Yosemite on the 14th so that’s when we need to make the final decision on route.

I assume California locals would see no issues continuing with our plans as long as we have a back-up route?

It looks like you know what you're doing. I don't see why you wouldn't continue with your plans. And I hope you enjoy our state.

My DD is kind enough to text me where she is, when there is cell phone coverage that is. But I'll say that 1-2 miles from the Bay Area should be fine. We felt nothing either time and we are in the Bay Area. I hear you on the gray hair. Every time DD flies I swear I get at least 20 more.
