I had the same issue with my first Chase business card. It declined me on the website and said to call. When I called I got someone for personal cards/accounts, transferred to business person and the rest is history. I think you should be fine :)
Thank you... I was instantly approved online last week and was merely trying to activate it. Just a very weird situation. It seems to have worked... hope it's just that it was my first one.

Waiting on them to combine my online access so I just have one sign in.

Made the first purchase- paying the Cox internet bill online. Off to see if such an option also exists with Centurylink for the landline... yes I still have one of those :rotfl:

My dd had to do this with her CIP as well. I wasn't prepared for that because neither my dh or I had to do that when we got CIP's. I kind of wondered at the time if it was b/c she was only 18yo. I had her put Chase on speaker phone so I could hear the call and coach her if needed but it really was just verification and they set up her online access. I'm also hoping she won't have to do that with each biz card.

We go to Yellowstone every couple years...it is a road trip for us. I think it would depend if where you are flying in. Basically you can go through Jackson, Wyoming or West Yellowstone, Montana. Yellowstone is HUGE. My understanding is that to stay at the hotels inside the park you have to reserve super early. It will be a lot of driving. Last trip we were in West Yellowstone. A lot smaller and less commercial than Jackson and the entrance to the park is right there. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and then redeemed UR points for a cabin. (If you care I can look up the name and let you know). We were going to do a road trip this summer to South Dakota but not sure about vacation time so it might be another Yellowstone year.

please if u can. were looking into flying into SLC and checking SLC out as well. The Lake also sounds pretty interesting.
Yeah, i looked at all the rooms inside the park and they are all booked... sadly, im someone who has a hard time planning very far in advanced as idk where my plans are then. I thought me planning 2 weeks ahead was plenty! haha. I think i will have to figure out logistics and basically find hotel rooms on each side of Yellowstone to make the best of it. Im assuming i should stay west of the park more since it seems like a lot of the things to see are there. East side seems kinda dead, North maybe a hotel for a day, but focus would probably be in south west area of yellowstone.
also probably gonna stop at Grand Teton NP for a day as well.
any flaws in my ideology?

blah, i keep wanting to type yosemite instead of yellowstone lol.

Sorry, when I wrote “declined” I meant the website wouldn’t take my business card info when activating and forced me to call and verify my info, not that the card application was declined. Very similar to the situation you outlined.

It will be nice to see the URs grow on those 3x categories!

Just went to the US Customs website to look up Global Entry and it doesn't appear that any of the airports in Japan have it, so it would not help on the outbound but coming back to the states to LAX would be potentially useful. Half is better than none, right?
There’s an app called mobile passport that essentially does the same thing coming back into the states. We don’t have GE so we are using that. I’ll let you know how it goes

I hope not, too! For all of us!! And I'm hardly 18 :rotfl:

Hmm how odd. Well I suppose time will tell!

Yes, definitely need to do what I can to maximize those 3x categories!

Oh, nice... thanks! yes I would appreciate the feedback when you have had a chance to try it!

PS I'm very interested to see what you liked best/least about Japan. My husband and I aren't too adventurous so I imagine our next trip will look much like the last one, minus 10 people....

Have you been following along with our trip report? I’ve been trying to post every day what we like and don’t like. Hopefully it’s helpful

pixiedust: THANK YOU! pixiedust:

My wife has been wanting to see Hamilton for years, but the idea of spending all that money with a kiddo who might get restless or worse during a 3 hour performance was just too much. This is a price point I can jump on (and just did!), and I think my kid is finally getting to an age where we can take her out to shows like this. I got us three left Orchestra row G tickets for a Friday night performance in August, two at $85 (normally $175, and just left of the $250 seats), and I don't mind taking the $75 "cheap" seat.

Friday night pickings were slim by the time I could sit down and search. I checked aviewfrommyseat for an idea of the view and our tickets aren't too shabby. I actually think I got a pretty good deal, so thank you again. Funny thing was the same email from SHNews for $85 weekday tickets to Hamilton showed up in my inbox as I was checking out.

And to bring it all back to credit cards, I wish I had a MSR to put these tickets on but I'm waiting on my new BBP and couldn't bear putting it on a 1x MR/UR card, so I paid for the tickets with one of my discounted VGCs from Safeway, bought using Chase Freedom for 5x UR and a slight 0.8% savings.

We're going to see HAMILTON!

My opinion on Hamilton: the first act was good and almost worthy of the hype, but the second act was actually sheer perfection.

Ok So I am not sure what the problem is but I had to call to "verify" this CIP and the automated system had to transfer me to someone else, who had to transfer me AGAIN, to someone who basically asked all the "security verification" questions all over again! Anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for a business card or did I screw something up somewhere?
As others said, yep, "normal" unfortunately. Not everyone gets it but it's not a bad thing. And doesn't repeat, @wendow my other biz cards have been showing up in my login after approval like everyone else so it's just a one and done.

They're not as bad as Citi, but it's starting to feel like it. I keep getting emails to my personal email address for the new CIP which is not on my online profile for my separate biz login, and not used during the application. I do have my biz email listed twice in the profile and I can't get rid of one because it keeps telling me I already have it on file when I try to make changes and gives me an error when trying to delete either. :sad2: Don't remember how I got it to stop on the first card. I may one day call to see if all the email weirdness can be corrected but it's more a quirky annoyance at the moment - which seems to describe most of the biz side of Chase. Why can't their personal and biz teams have a talk??

But if it keeps the CIPpy cup full I'll deal :)

I was poking around on the Chase UR just to get an idea of "cost" of points for flights and I noticed that some of the options said "extra charge to choose your seat" or similar, but I didn't see where one could do that, or find out how much it would cost. Can anyone comment? The last time we went to Japan it was a group of 12 so we used a "group travel" person with JAL and had reserved seats.
