Step 1 of getting another CIP for DH complete! PC'd my CIU to a CIP for the referral bonus. Tomorrow will be app day.
Same. Every time we talk to my dd's lyme doc, the receptionist asks if I want to pay with the card on file...lol, um, nope, I have a new one. I can hear her rolling her eyes over the phoneI often wonder if the people I have bills with think I'm insane lol. Forget category spend, I'm always hitting an MSR and changing my payment![]()
Those Barclays reps are straight up rude.
It is soooooo hard to wait and I only need to wait until Monday!! That will be 3 months for DH since his CIU and he can apply for CIP #2. Sometimes it amazes me how fast I am going through MSRs. Not spending extra money but all those bills I never put on CCs (property tax, insurance, tution). They really add up.
Just supported myself to the BBP and approved! Dodged the pop up once more!
Was checking my Marriott account and I didn’t get credited my 250 points per day where we skipped housekeeping in Colorado Springs. That was 1000 points. Used the missing stay form and put that in the comments. Will see if that works or if I actually have to call them.
I use the saks credit easily. My problem is the dining credit. Seems like it forces me to shake shack at the end if every month just so it doesn't go to waste
USAA reps always ask when I call. The one rep was like I need to look into this. One of my businesses I had to call the Corp office and change my payment and I happened to get the same rep. Well she said you have changed your payment each month for the last 5 is everything ok. My response was business could be better but I working on some travel rewards so I have another new card to use.I often wonder if the people I have bills with think I'm insane lol. Forget category spend, I'm always hitting an MSR and changing my payment![]()
The Chase card that you apply for next week but actually beat your Citi card on arrivalThey are so slow!
5k loss is a lot. Sorry to hear that. Praying for your next planting! The last week of school and house guests has me so far behind on this thread!
Southwest flights today were $2400 for our family over Christmas break. That’s almost as much as flying out of our small airport. I’ll watch and wait, and if I have to figure out alternatives I guess we will.
We sold corn two weeks ago and the price has now gone up almost 55 cents since we sold. That’s $5,000 we could have made just a week or so later. We have 0 seeds in the ground (just like almost everyone else near us). Luckily we have lots of other things going for us, but I hate the gamble and risk. If you’re the praying type, please pray for farmers in the Midwest to be able to get their crops planted safely.
The kids and I are at the Dells this week treating friends to units at Wyndham Glacier Canyon at the Wilderness. It’s awesome as usual.
Happy summer to everyone!
Your pop-up avoidance skills are impressive my friend!!Just supported myself to the BBP and approved! Dodged the pop up once more!
Need help with a status question. I am one stay away from gold status on Marriott. If I stay in July, when does that gold end? Next July? At the end of this year? End of next year?
So, we PC'ed dh's CSR to a CFU back in April when the AF posted. Already had used the $300 TC in Jan. I'd like to PC the CFU back to a CSR soon. Couple of questions:
1. The AF will post soon after or not until 2020 or this is an unknown?
2. Will he get the TC again or not until the last Dec statement drops and we are into 2020?
3. Is this a good way to get on Chase's bad side? Don't want to do that and not worth it.
AND another topic with a question
We never stay at Bon blah so I pretty much ignore the chatter. But now we are going to be at Swan for 5 nights in Aug. We will have the resort fee on each room. What is the best way to save on that? Can't use Marriott GC, correct?
Thanks!
I'll have to check this out tomorrow night since my May credit is about to expire.I just learned about being able to use the "pick-up" option for Grubhub to use up the dining credit and avoid the delivery fee. There's a lot more restaurant options that way.
Our rule is if dd makes the spend, points are hers. If we make the spend, points are ours. We’ve not had a situation where we made part of the spend and she made part but I guess in that case, we could split the points? So I have convinced DD to try for the CIP, but now rethinking. I think this is a bad deal for me. lol There is no way she can make anywhere near the spend, I would have to help her. A lot. She is living at home this year so she really doesn't have that many expenses. She needs the ticket to Australia. She need to pay for that. So I said we can try to open the card wait for it to come to buy ticket and get your first $1000 in spend or I can use my points to buy ticket now and then when she gets her points she can transfer them over to me. So I get probably $4500 in spend for nothing. And she gets a free flight to Australia. She is like that seems great, lets do that. But now that I am thinking about it, It sounds like a bum deal for me. What to do?? I am ready for CIP #2 for me, but this will delay that for awhile. Be nice to DD or more points for me??? Decisions. I am not even sure she will qualify.
