I only half paid attention to this before, do I have to make DH call or can I get away with being him?

On another note I was going to ask you anyways, didn't you previously call in on your DHs CSR for travel plans? I'm thinking of giving it a shot because I just ran the math and DH definitely did not get his points back from cancelling a rental car last month, and when I SM'd they said to call in I guess I'll give them until Saturday, since statement close is tomorrow, and fine print on the cancellation email says they should be on there at the latest...

Trying to activate DHs Citi card and it's telling me the info doesn't match their records

This happened with both my and dh's citi biz cards. I sure hope future ones do not have this problem. We had to call. Citi's IT rivals Disney's and makes me

No, it's good until 9/5 I think. This was more of a, hey we'll be here during this and heard good things... that was part of my issue with the price, we already have passes But then the passes were just a perk because we basically paid the same for the passes as we were going to pay for 3 days in the parks plus a VB day last September, so anything beyond that trip was bonus (like our 2 days in January). Depending on how the event is, I can see doing it over separate tickets when we don't have passes.

Good point. We ended up paying $30 more per ticket for seasonal APs since they hiked the price right before we went in February. We are prob going back early October so thinking of HHN. DD9 is kind of young but she is tough as nails so I think she’d be ok.

I can't believe they don't put any restrictions on the free weekend night certificate. I can see this changing at some point because as @Lain said the value is unbelievable!

ITA, Bora Bora is definitely on our list. I tried to talk dd into Bora Bora next year but she is set on the Maldives, so the Maldives it is. We won't be stopping on our way there as she only has 6 days off school -- so it's straight there and back. I am going to start watching flights towards the end of this month on Aeroplan and as soon as they post on AA and UR. I'll use which gets me there the fastest with the best value. I think I'd like to go to Bali for a few weeks while she's in college.

We are looking at going back in Oct for HHN too. I'd like to do Sept more, but we are going to be hooked in to school schedules this year. The plan is to do it with at least the one BIL and his partner (this should be for sure but BIL is starting law school so there's one school schedule) and ILs (MIL works for schools... schedule #2) and possibly DHs aunt. Debating Disney on this trip... one one hand BIL is an enormous SW fan and super excited for all of that stuff, but on the other he heard DLR is doing bathroom passes for the lines and he's like, I'm not doing bathroom passes, I'll wait a year

Yeah woof no thanks for the bathroom pass. Looking at early October I heard HHN gets super busy in October so I’m hoping earlier in the month will be a bit better. Some decent room rates at EP hotels with URs. Got HRH for 18k a night!

DECLINED! My first decline. It is on the Wells Fargo checking account for the bonus. Not sure the reason since I don't have the letter and the CSR couldn't tell me over the phone. I am hoping it is for verification and not true decline. Does Wells look at recent bank accounts opened? I guess that could be it but really just Ally, PNC, 5/3 and Chase in the last 12-15 months. Is that a lot?

GOOD NEWS - approved for Cit Biz card. I went with the dummy booking offer 40K with 250 stmt credit. I'll let that console me for the decline on Wells.

WF declined the checking account? Super weird. I open every account I can and I've had success with WF twice, plus one biz account. Wait for the letter, but there might be something on your Chex/EWS report (whichever they use). As I recall, you can order a free copy of your report within 30 days of a denial, and the information should be on your letter.

And I've called on DH's CIP for travel multiple times and they've never asked to talk to him. All they ever ask for is like the card number and last name I think.

People talking about wanting to work for Disney or definitely not - My friend's parents snow bird and work during the winter months only. If you are going to do it, this seems like the best way. Though I believe it is harder to get hired on as seasonal now. They love it for the perks and discounts. They collect a lot of Disney junk, I guess some people call them souvenirs or collectibles. lol My friend has gone on many free or nearly free trips with staying with them and getting in free with them. She truly did not understand how expensive it is for us to go as a family of 5 when she has more kids and thought it was affordable. Until recently, because the kids were older and needed more tickets than they could get in for free she was shocked at how much a ticket cost. And I think she only had to buy 1 maybe 2. She was like wow, is this how much everyone pays? lol

I can't recall if they've asked my name before, but I'm certain I would have just said my own name if they ask. I can remember when he was originally approved for his first CIP and I called for it to be expedited, the guy wanted to ask me a whole bunch of identity verification questions. When I was able to answer all of them, he seemed to just kind of give up and agreed to expedite the card.

Got really excited as I've been checking hotel dates for our trip... right now I have a standard room at Pop at rack rate. I saw AS Movies come up under the Gift of Magic offer.. preferred room... only $10 less total than Pop. Nevermind...

The ones on the MR site are good for Carnival Corp, which includes the HAL and Princess brands. I looked into it as we like to sail Princess and never see GCs for them. I can't remember if the ones at Target are the same or they are the Carnival brand only. It might have been Swagbucks that got the umbrella ones instead and I just wanted it to be Target. But there are ones out there that are supposed to work at all the brands.

EDIT: Found it! It's in the T&Cs for the AmEx rewards card agreement "THIS CARD MAY BE USED ONLY FOR GOODS AND SERVICES AT 1) PARTICIPATING ESTABLISHMENTS WHICH ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS® CARDS AND OPERATE UNDER THESE CARNIVAL CORPORATION BRANDS: CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE, PRINCESS CRUISES, HOLLAND AMERICA LINE, SEABOURN OR CUNARD, OR 2) THE CORPORATE CARNIVAL CAFÉ (“MERCHANT”). So it's not all brands like I misremembered, but a good portion of them.
